Let's see how long we can keep this going. A few ground rules to keep it fair and everyone know's how to play.

1. The first one to answer correctly the Question being asked, get's to ask the next question.

2. The person asking the question has to know the answer to the question THEY are asking.

3. DO NOT look up the answer. Only from your already known knowledge can you answer. We are on our honor system. If a day or so goes by yeah, look it up, but initially see if you know the answer off the top of your head. I am sure the questions will get tougher as we go.

4. Wait until someone else verifies the answer is correct, then whoever answered correctly first, take it upon yourself to ask the next trivia question. If we keep the pace moving, it is more fun.

I will start by asking the first question...

What is the shortest verse in the Bible?
Pamela
John 11:35 Jesus wept : Is the shorest verse in the bible....

How many mock trials did Jesus go through before being crucified?
barnabas
Well, this one really took off, didn't it? lol.

No one knows. Because every thing that happened was not written down.

John 21
25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

No. I am sure that Pamela meant how many written trials.
Pamela

Got me. I couldn't figure it out without studying it and on my honor that's not allowed.
Pamela
I am sorry I mis-spoke. There are 7 NOT 6 sufferings of Christ. The answer to the question is : There were 6 mock trials Jesus endured before being crucified. They are found in the Gospels and the run down is the following:
1.Jesus was tried before the Sanhedrin...

2. He was then taken before Pilate...

3. Pilate sent him before Herod...

4. Herod return Jesus to Pilate

5. He was tried before the mob of people who tried to find spot and blemish..

6. He was before Pilate once again...

Then He was crucified..j

It shows a comparison of the earthly high priest sacrificing the sin offering lamb TO Jesus being both the High Priest AND the sacrifice Lamb of God...

Okay next question:

What happened on the day of Pentacost?

Okay next question:

What happened on the day of Pentacost?

Well let's see...Peter preached, 5,000 were converted, tongues fell over the crowd.

The UPC to this day baptises "in the name of Jesus" as does COC, instead of "in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit" because of Acts 2:38. Just a fun little tidbit.

Perhaps we need to look at the guidelines for the game again in order to keep it moving.

Which Day of Pentecost? For there had been several up until the ushering of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2. For it is also known as the feast of weeks. Are you talking about Acts 2 Day of Pentecost only here?
