The below is a quote from the above hyperlink. Interestingly, today is 1335 days from the fall of the Twin Towers, and is the anniversary of the official end of World War Two. "Blessed is he that waiteth and reacheth until the end of the 1335th day."
[attachmentid=30]

What better event than the final end of a world war to mark such a prophecy? Not that today is significant in itself, but that it reminds us of the significance of the end of World War 2, and how it was a picture of WW3 that is to come. When it WW3 does come, we are reminded that it will last a set period of time---i.e., 1335 days, as per Daniel 12.

Marta, there are different types of Babylon. Here are three of the biggies that the Spirit of late has been signifying.

"It was their worst blackout since WW2. This is significant for 3 main reasons: "Rome" has long been identified as "Mystery Babylon" of Rev. 17:5. I alluded to this before the Rome blackout already in this document---and in context of a blackout. The second reason that the Rome blackout is significant is that she is the 3rd city that God has signified by blackout: i) Iraq was literal Babylon; ii) New York was economic Babylon, iii) and now Rome is religious Babylon. The third main reason that this event is significant to the code is that there are 45 days between the blackout of North America (New York) and that of Italy (Rome), (Aug. 14 to Sept 28). Daniel the prophet spoke of 1290 days, plus another 45 days to make 1335."

(Updated after the Italy/Rome
blackout of Sept. 28, 2003)
Important Note:
The 5th part of this 5-part series was placed on the internet a short time before the blackout. The previous four parts have their fulfillment in the recent deaths of Saddam's sons. Now God in His own wisdom and providence has seen fit to add this sign that reinforces and helps explain the rest of the bible-prophecy code as it pertains to the 'lamp'. According to Daniel 5, the 'hand' appeared next to the lamp (likely the one stolen from the temple in Jerusalem), and wrote those terrifying words on the palace wall in Babylon: "Mene, mene, tekel, peres." Amazingly, the bible-prophecy code now explains the symbolic meaning of the lamp in the writing-on-the-wall episode by interpreting and applying these same four words to this lamp!

While the blackout is not the fulfillment of the bible code, yet it is a sign that attests to it, particularly 'the darkened lamp' aspect of the code. Too many coincidences have occurred for this to be otherwise.

(Update: 45 days after the North American blackout, 90% of Italy blacked out [55 million people]. It was their worst blackout since WW2. This is significant for 3 main reasons: "Rome" has long been identified as "Mystery Babylon" of Rev. 17:5. I alluded to this before the Rome blackout already in this document---and in context of a blackout. As said before the Italy blackout in point 3 and 7, there are 1290 days to the first blackout, and therefore 1335 days unto the Italy blackout! Any changes to the following document will be written in this blue type so it can be differentiated. Click here for more details, and the 666 x 2 days. Amazingly, this very night of the Rome blackout, Rome was holding its first city wide "white light" festival where the city stays open all night and celebrates!!! How more obvious can God make His signs. God's people, wake up! Here is a quote from the BBC:

"Italy's capital was holding its first official "Notte Bianca" or "Sleepless night", an idea borrowed from Paris, in which the city stays open all night. The name literally translates as the "White Night", and it is somewhat ironic that it was brought to a premature end as the city was plunged into darkness.")

Shekel,

You have a very talented gift and are so analytical. I wanted to thank you for all that you share, and I'm honored to be on your forum. I honestly try and contribute as much as I can. biggrin.gif

I read alot of your postings. That is odd that you actually did mention Iraq as the literal Babylon, I always thought of Iraq as the actual Babylon because of the tower of Babel that was built there. There are people convinced it is America, but I never did think of three different types that you mentioned. Iraq as literal, America/NY as economic, and Rome as Religious. That makes so much more sense now. Thank you for that. wink.gif

I'll have to read more on your bible codes.

Yes, I should have added Iraq to the three I mentioned. The sign of Saddam and the war etc., greatly bring that out. So thanks for the correction.

Babylon is not actually mentioned in any of the apostle Paul’s writings, it figures largely in the book of the Revelation in the New Testament and occupies a great place in the prophets of the Old Testament. The only places where what may be called Babylonianism enters into Paul’s epistles, are where in Romans 1:21-32 the moral consequences of this great opposing system are reviewed, and where in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 they are envisaged as reappearing in the last days, when Babylon and its awful teaching will come once more to a head under the dictatorship of the Man of Sin. If 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 be studied with Revelation 13, it will be seen that there again Babylonianism is referred to.

Most of what Paul has been inspired to write concerning Babylonianism would come under the heading of ‘the lie’ pseudos, sometimes translated ‘lying’. This word pseudos is found in Romans 1:25, Ephesians 4:25 and 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11. The present dispensation, <line drawn at Acts 28:28>, is a parenthesis, and its last days will lead up to the awful conditions which characterize the close of Gentile dominion that is set forth in such books as Daniel or the Revelation. They lead up to, but do not belong in the dispensation of grace that we have been born into, for the dispensation covered by the Day of the Lord, lies outside the scope of the dispensation of the Mystery. This brief reference to Babylon and its place in the purpose of the ages are presented show that even though we cannot turn aside and deal with Prophecy as belonging to this period where Israel is set aside, its importance cannot be overlooked without loss and possible disaster, for it is written that the church which is His body was not mentioned in Scripture, but 'Hid in God', further, Eph 2:20 declares of us, 'And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone'.

Being there are over 280 references and quotes to the OT in Revelation, it would necessarily be folly to imploy only Revelation for understanding what God is sharing as His interpretation of all these things written to Israel and for her kingdom on and in, the earth.

Babylon was the nation that took the nation of God into captivity as we see in the book of 2 Kings.
It was the Babylonian empire that ruled the world.
Babylon was the main city of that empire.

So the scriptures speak of Babylon the city symbollically being the seat of power of Satan who is the "god of this world".

The NT mentions 2 cities both used symbolically.
As Christians we are part of the commonwealth of Israel and are therefore citizens of the "heavenly Jerusalem". We are fellowcitizens with the angels of heaven.
Before we became converted we were citizens of that great city Babylon.
Everyone is a citizen of either one or the other.
Both cities being the seat of power of the two kingdoms; the kingdom of the world over which Satan is the head and the kingdom of Christ which is within those who are His.
Of course there is more to it but this helps to understand what the NT is talking about.
The world versus the kingdom of God. We are not to be "of the world".
Satan is the "god of this world". Therefore the lust of the flesh and of the eyes and of the mind is not of the Father but is of the world. The world along with its lusts is looked upon as one big city, Babylon, which has people in captivity to its lusts.
As Moses said "let my people go" out of Egypt, so Jesus came to lead his sheep out of Babylon.
"Come out of her my people and be separate". 2 Cor. 6
blindzebra
fisher, that is accurate.
it is in the big picture Book.

just as Babylon was a Nation, (at one time also a world empire) and also a City,
there are also smaller and smaller representations of.. Babylon.

finer and finer, refining.

God's truth is everywhere to be seen.

my favorite post of yours....this one.

Excellent history! I LOVE this type of study in the morning...sets the pace for all the things I can mull over during ironing and cooking.

Not a problem until the Germany part. Oh the history is excellent, however the idea that Germanic relics will become so important as to even cause a shadow over the Vatican is tenuous. That religion is one of the three heads of the beast and that the other two will comprise politics and economy, there is little doubt in my mind. The details may change (microschip ect) but it is the same basic emperial construct.

No doubt it is in the final stages of imposition. Christians will undergo great demands on their faith shortly. but the strength of old is with us just as they attempt to set up their anchient strengths. Though they may have to remain a short time, they have falen six times in the past and our God has not waivered.

I do not fear death (pain....ahhhh! Now that will I hate). But that is all they can do to me and then my battle is "finished" as well.

The Beast and harlot of babylon are two separate entities. While both serve satan they are not one and the same.

Revelation 17:16
And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

So the Harlot will be destroyed by the beast. If the Harlot is the beast then how can it destroy itself???

The Harlot of revelation is definitely in control of a nation or city. And the Harlot is on many waters meaning it exists in many different parts of the World. catholicism does fit the picture quite clearly but also Masonry fits the description as well, you can also add Islam to those two.

Islam...mecca

catholicism...rome

masonry...washington

The Harlot must have both a religions dimension because a Harlot is false religion and also a political dimension, direct control of a city or nation. All three of the candidates i have mentioned fit the picture.

It seems to me that Members of Islam and members of Catholocism are Masons, that the masonic lodge is in the Vatican big time and that they all have one underlying comon thread. That they consort to distract would be christians (real ones) from the truth. Repentance and faith in Jesus.

As long as folk are being consumed by the lies of all of these 'institutions' they are not thinking about the truth of salvation and the sacrifice of G-d in Jesus.

We do not fight flesh and blood but......wickedness in high places!

RosielovesJesus
Today I have been studying Catholicism and I have had the shivers ever since.
I do believe they are the great deceivers. The last pope carried a crooked cross, which is Stanic and also sat on a seat with an upside down cross. This is pure evil.

Some people are looking for the anti christ to come from a secular world. I think he just might come out of a very large religious group with many followers.

What do you all think??

God bless,
from Rosie who is really wondering what the German Pope will try and do.
Adstar
Well the anti-christ will be supported by the False Prophet. The False Prophet is definitely a religious figure. If the beast was a leader of a religious institution then i suppose he would not need the support of a false prophet to give credence to His false claims of Messiahship.

For this reason i do not think the anti-christ will initially be a religious figure. Of course in the end the anti-christ will be looked upon as being God on earth but in the initial stages he will not be a religious figure.

The thought came to me that satan has set up a few harlots and in the end we will find out what harlot he will sacrifice to further his claim as the returned messiah.

The anti-christ must stage his fake war of Armageddon. most popular opinion sees the battle of Armageddon as a nuclear war anyway. what better way to fool the world then to give them what they are expecting. To deliver a nuclear inferno upon one of his harlots as a expendable sacrifice to further his goal. Maybe the anti-christ will destroy two of his harlots one he will declare the beast the other he will declare the harlot.

The book of Daniel tells of a coming war between two kings. The King of the North and the King of the South. Daniel notes that both Kings are evil. The King of the North will eventually have victory over the King of the South. I see that King of the South to be the false islamic messiah and the King of the North to be the true Anti-Christ. i feel that the true anti-christ must make a show of saving the jewish people from the islamic threat to pull of the greatest deception in history.

One thing is for sure we live in interesting times.

I do think there are many harlots and types and shadows.... and yes Babylon means "confusion"... but the whore of Babylon is the MOTHER of harlots, so she has kids that will shadow her. Anyway where is everyone's scripture?

Jeremiah 2

1Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. 3Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD. 4Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:5Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

6Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? 7And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

8The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
9Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.
10For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing. 11Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

12Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
13For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. 14Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled? 15The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant. 16Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head. 17Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way? 18And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

19Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts. 20For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

21Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me? 22For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD. 23How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

24A wild --- used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her. 25Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go. 26As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets.

27Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us. 28But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah. 29Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD. 30In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

31O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee? 32Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number. 33Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways. 34Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.

35Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned. 36Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria. 37Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.

Jeremiah 3

1They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD. 2Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. 3Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.

4Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth? 5Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
6The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. 7And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

8And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. 9And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. 10And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

11And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.
12Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever. 13Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.

14Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: 5And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

17At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. 18In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
19But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.

20Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD. 21A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God.
22Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.

23Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel. 24For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. 25We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

Jeremiah 4

Jeremiah 4
1If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove. 2And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. 3For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

4Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 5Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

6Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. 7The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.
8For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

9And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder. 10Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

11At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse, 12Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them. 13Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

14O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee? 15For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.
16Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

17As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD. 18Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart. 19My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. 20Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

21How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet? 22For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

23I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. 27For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

28For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. 29The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

30And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life. 31For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

Revelation 17
4And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Jeremiah 5

26For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. 27As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. 28They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. 29Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Revelation 18

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Zech. 5

5Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 6And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 7And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
8And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. 9Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

Jeremiah 5

6Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

7How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

Hosea 13

7Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them: 8I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them. 9O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.

Revelation 17
16And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Jeremiah 6
32Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
33And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away. 34Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Revelaton 18
23And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Luike 11
47Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. 49Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: 50That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 51From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

Matthew 23
29Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Jeremiah 9
12Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. 13I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.

Luke 19

43For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

I do think there are many harlots and types and shadows.... and yes Babylon means "confusion"... but the whore of Babylon is the MOTHER of harlots, so she has kids that will shadow her. Anyway where is everyone's scripture?

You just described everyone and their kids who are not walking in the Spirit of God, following Christ.

What are the two main types used in the Bible when God speaks of the two main players?

Jerusalem and Babylon.

Jerusalem: God's saved people, Jews and Gentiles: the body of Christ.
Babylon: everybody else.

That is where we start from to decipher the prophetic.

Then: In Jerusalem we have types and shadows

In Babylon too, we have daughters (same "blood" ) we have a whore (always linked to religious systems, because God uses the Word as "sperma" and the whore receives from more than one)
QUOTE

(Dan.3:1) Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore (60) cubits, and the breadth thereof six (6) cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura (600), in the province of Babylon. The image of the beast was 60 cubits in stature and 6 cubits in scope. As we saw, adding up the Greek or Hebrew letters in a word, which are also numbers, gives us an important prophetic equivalent. The image was on the plain of Dura, which in Hebrew means “circle” and “dwelling”, symbolizing the “world” which has a gematria of 600. Notice that all the kingdoms of the world make up the full measure of the beast; 600 + 60 + 6 = 666.

Both Israel and Babylon cause the nations to drink....

Jeremiah 25

15For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it. 16And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them. 17Then took I the cup at the LORD's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me: 18To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;

19Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people; 20And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod, 21Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon, 22And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea, 3Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners, 24And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert, 25And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes, 26And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

27Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. 28And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink. 29For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.

30Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD. 32Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

33And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.34Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel. 35And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

36A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture. 37And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the LORD. 38He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.

Babylon causes the nations to drink here also:

Jeremiah 51

1Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind; 2And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about. 3Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host. 4Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.

5For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel. 6Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. 7Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

8Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. 9We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. 10The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.

11Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple. 12Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon. 13O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.

Hi Marta,

It is not correct to hang this one on the US or any other country. That is something often said by people who are long on sensationalism and short on teaching skills. If you look at what is written in the book of Revelation on this subject it says there that the blood of prophets is found in Babylon. The US has no history of murder of Biblical prophets. Babylon is a name used to capture the rebellion against God which is always happening in every city and country in the world. This rebellion against God is characterized by such things as the love of money more then God, taking pride in your life and not caring at all for God, and the slaughter of the innocent. These things, taken together, comprise what is meant by the term Babylon. One statement that helps make it plain this is what is meant by the term Babylon in the book of Revelation is that it says there that God wants people to come out of Babylon. God would not implore you to leave the US, but God does implore you to quit living a life based on falsehood. It says there that this rebellion against God which is currently taking place will be crushed at the time of the return of Jesus.

It is everything that contradicts the ministry of the Latter-day Elijah. Sounds sad, huh? It's the Truth of God of Jesus Christ and the way God has always worked. The Jubilee has come!

Just as it was in the days of Noah before the flood, so it is today; the earth is corrupt and full of violence; Christians are divided among themselves and have rejected the Lord's commandments. But God has delighted in Elijah, His humble servant, and the Church, those who have obeyed the Lord Jesus Christ through Elijah and found grace in the eyes of the Lord. The gospel of God's Kingdom has been preached throughout the earth.

(Rev. 19:1-4) Babylon must be destroyed according to these vv. The fall of Babylon is given in detail in Jeremiah fifty and fifty-one. Comparing Rev. 19:1-4 with Jeremiah 25:9-11 it will be seen that it is a reversal of the doom that fell upon Israel at their captivity by Nebuchadnezzar. This condition is referred to again in Jeremiah 33:4-11.

Israel will return and seek the Lord (Jer. 50:4).

Israel will be brought back to the Lord (Jer. 50:19).

Israe1's iniquity will be completely forgiven (Jer. 50:20).

Israel is exhorted to leave Babylon (Jer. 51:45).

As the Alleluiahs arise in Revelation 19:1-6 so will heaven and earth sing for Babylon (Jer. 51:48).

The Millennium seems to be preceded by two noted events, the final destruction of Babylon and the return of Israel. The return of Israel is linked with the New Covenant (Jer. 31:31-37). The history and destiny of the two cities, Babylon and Jerusalem, are intimately related.

While Babylon is not actually mentioned in any of the apostle Paul’s writings, what may be called Babylonianism enters into Paul’s epistles, are where in Romans 1:21-32 the moral consequences of this great opposing system are reviewed, and where in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 they are envisaged as reappearing in the last days, when Babylon and its awful teaching will come once more to a head under the dictatorship of the Man of Sin. If 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 be studied with Revelation 13, it will be seen that there again Babylonianism is referred to. Most of what Paul has been inspired to write concerning Babylonianism comes under the heading of ‘the lie’ pseudos, sometimes translated ‘lying’. This word pseudos is found in Romans 1:25, Ephesians 4:25 and 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11.

While Babylonianism enters the realm of the lie, it must be noted there is only one true King in the Revelation, namely He Whose name is The Word (Rev. 19:13,16) and Who is called both King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The time for the assumption of Crown and Sceptre is given in Revelation 11: 15 as the days of the sounding of the seventh trumpet when

"The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever".

At this same time, the time of the dead has come that they should be judged, and reward given to the servants of the Lord, and to His saints; the time when they that destroy the earth should be destroyed. Babylon is addressed in Jeremiah 51:25 as the "destroying mountain, which destroyeth all the earth", which brings this passage into line with the judgment pronounced in Reve1ation 11:18 when the Lord will "destroy them which destroy the earth" and as the desolation of Babylon here predicted (Jer. 51:26) must line up with the destruction of Babylon revealed in Revelation 19:1-6.

Basileo "to reign" occurs seven times in the Revelation.

"They (R.V.) reign upon the earth" (Rev. 5:10).

"The seventh angel sounded: . . . He shall reign for ever and ever" (Rev. 11:15).

"Thou hast taken to Thee Thy great power and hast reigned" (Rev.11:17).

"The Lord God Omnipotent reigneth" (Rev. 19:6).

"And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years" (Rev. 20:4).

"And shall reign with Him a thousand years" (Rev. 20:6).

"They shall reign for ever and ever" (Rev. 22:5).

The association of those who overcome and reign with Christ in the Millennial kingdom, His Own reign and the ending of the kingdoms of the earth at the same moment, with no interval for any other kingdom good or evil to intervene, above marked by the word "reign".

Concerning The Pre- Millennial Kingdom we find

"The kingdoms of this world" (Rev. 11:15).

"His kingdom (the throne of the beast) was full of darkness" (Rev. 16:10).

"The ten horns . . . are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast" (Rev. 17:12).

"Agree . . . give their kingdom unto the beast" (Rev. 17:17).

"And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth (lit. having kingship) over the kings of the earth" (Rev.17:18).

Over against the kingdom of this world, of the Beast, of the scarlet woman (Babylon) is placed

"The kingdom . . . of Jesus Christ (Rev. 1:9),

No other kingdoms appear but these two. The Pre-Millennial kingdom so far as the Apocalypse is concerned is the kingdom of the Beast. Revelation 12:9,10 is linked with Revelation 20:1,2, for in these two passages we have the title, "that old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan"; in the first passage he is cast down to the earth, and is said to be he "which deceiveth the whole world", and in Revelation 20:2,3 he is said to be cast into the bottomless pit, "that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled".

We may do well to bear, and perhaps even forebear, the words ‘Ye Shall be as God’,

The serpent’s words to Eve in Genesis 3 find an echo in Ezekiel 28. The mystery of iniquity presses on to its goal, which is expressed in the same words, ‘as God’ (2 Thess. 2:4; Rev. 13). Ezekiel is commissioned to say unto the prince of Tyre:

‘Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God ... Wilt thou yet say before Him that slayeth thee, I am God?’ (Ezek. 28:2-9).

This prince had prided himself in his wisdom:

‘Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee’ (Ezek. 28:3).

By this wisdom the prince had gotten riches, and by his traffic he had increased them. This led to pride, and pride of a blasphemous character. His end is to be slain:

‘Thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of Him that slayeth thee’ (Ezek. 28:9).

Not only should death be the end of his blasphemous claim, but his very glory should be brought to ignominy:

‘They shall defile (profane) thy brightness’ (Ezek. 28:7).

The False and the True are a constant theme,

The word ‘brightness’ as a feminine noun, occurs again only in verse 17. It is one of a series of parallels which show that the prince of Tyre, a man who aspired to divine honours, is in his turn a type of the king of Tyre, who was more than man, who also aspired to divine honours. The verbal form of the word translated ‘brightness’ is used of the glory of God’s presence in several passages, a striking one being Psalm 50:2 :

‘Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined’.

It may be perceived that here we have a further parallel, for Zion, the perfection of beauty, is a similar expression to:

‘O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty ... thy builders have perfected thy beauty’ (Ezek. 27:3,4);

also of the king of Tyre it is written:

‘Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty’ (Ezek. 28:12).

Zion or Jerusalem is the geographical centre for the outworking of the mystery of godliness, while Babylon, Tyre, Pergamos and other cities have been, and again be, the place of Satan’s seat and the outworking of the mystery of iniquity.

There is much confusion on what country Babylon is in the Bible.  People say America is Babylon?  Hmmmm, I don't want to think that!  What is MYSTERY BABYLON-I thought it was Rome?  Help!  sad.gif

BABYLON is Iraq...and it has already started burning as is foretold....Mystery Babylon is the Laodicean Church...looks real, acts somewhat real but is filled with unsaved people obsessed with worldly/eartly/fleshly power....Rome is the obvious leader candidate because it fulfills the clothing, locational topography, iconic worship items mentionned in the description of the harlot...however, the orthodox and any other idol leaning or liberal interpreting church's will follow them because it will feel right!

‘O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty ... thy builders have perfected thy beauty’ (Ezek. 27:3,4);

also of the king of Tyre it is written:

‘Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty’ (Ezek. 28:12).

Zion or Jerusalem is the geographical centre for the outworking of the mystery of godliness, while Babylon, Tyre, Pergamos and other cities have been, and again be, the place of Satan’s seat and the outworking of the mystery of iniquity.

Bravo! His home base will be Babylon and the US is building a guarded embassy for him right now. However, his last assault will be from palatial tents between the 2 seas..Mediterranean and Dead Sea.....mimicking the Tent of David

666=knowledge, knowledge knowledge...it's the 6th part of the 7 spirits of God...but it is knowledge without wisdom...they will be going to and fro and KNOWLEDGE will increase.
