Today, when I left work, I knew I had to come back and I was losing a good parking spot. Not being discouraged I imagined a better parking spot at the very front of the entrance at my job and when I returned there it was!

I thanked God for it

After scraping the snow off the car,
the sun poked through the clouds for a little bit,
I could feel the warmth as its beams shone down on me.
It was like getting a hug from God when I was really really cold.

Sonshine !!!

Number 37 reminded me of my first boyfriend. When I was sixteen. Oh, youth... He managed to climb the fence beside our house and swing over to the balconey (with a 12 foot drop!) in the middle of the night WITH a plate full of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies he had just made. (I have no idea HOW he did this.) It was about two in the morning when he rapped on my door to the balconey and woke me. I snuck down to the kitchen and got a couple of glasses of milk for us to have with the cookies. We whispered and giggled for the longest time while we snacked, scared that we would wake my parents. I made him leave by the front door, though. I thought one trip over the balconey was enough of a risk. We never woke my parents that night, and when I told them about my night time cookie delivery (a few years later), they thought it was sweet, though foolish.

I haven't thought of that in a long time...
