Ten Commandments 'cover-up' revealed at Supreme Court
Evidence of Christian heritage suppressed by building managers

The stone tablet on the U.S. Supreme Court's East Frieze until 1975 was described as representing the "Ten Commandments." Since then it's been changed to the "Ten Amendments" based on an unsigned letter that conflicts with other evidence

It's looking a lot like a cover-up at the <A href="http://www.wnd.com/redir/r.asp?http://www.supremecourtus.gov/publicinfo/phonenumbers.html">U.S. Supreme Court, where officials appear to be suppressing evidence of representations of the nation's Christian heritage at the court building, according to a pastor whose research is published at www.lacconline.org, and gives evidence of that heritage.

"I'm not a conspirator," Todd DuBord, senior pastor of the Lake Almanor Community Church, wrote in a new request to the high court to correct its information. "I must admit, however, that my recent research on the U.S. Supreme Court is making me think that cover-up might be more than make-up."

He's been advocating for corrections to the court's online and tourist information since he traveled to Washington, D.C., on a tour looking at the Christian heritage of the United States. While there, some of the tour guides at the court building told him the East Wall Frieze stone tablet representation stands for the Ten Amendments, not the Ten Commandments as he had thought.

But his weeks of research, documented on the church's website, have revealed that the weight of evidence provided by the government rests much more heavily on the interpretation that the tablet stands for the Ten Commandments, even though Supreme Court information officials deny that.

WND earlier reported on his documentation of the other representations of the Ten Commandments in the Supreme Court Building, the importance society at that time placed on the laws of Moses, and the general recognition during that era by courts of the Ten Commandments as the basis for much of the U.S. law.

However, DuBord said he never got a response to his request, which was mailed and faxed to Court Information Officer Kathy Arberg, that the Supreme Court reconsider, and so he's documented additional evidence that he believes should convince officials of the validity of his request for the change.

Specifically, he spent weeks researching the "support" for the current interpretation by court officials that the East Wall Frieze stone tablet is the ten amendments. The court's interpretation rests on an unsigned letter purportedly from Adolph A. Weinman, the sculptor, to the architect of the building, Cass Gilbert.

IPB Image
This is part of the Supreme Court's version of the letter purportedly calling the East Frieze stone tablet the ten 'amendments.' It apparently is a re-typing of the original two-page letter at the Smithsonian

Official Supreme Court documentation now states: "According to a letter from Weinman to Gilbert describing the design for this frieze, the pylon carved with the Roman numerals I to X between the two central figures symbolizes the first ten amendments to the Constitution, also known as the Bill of Rights."

Arberg told WND that the information that she has access to is what's available online and in court publications: that the letter purportedly from the sculptor to the architect designates that tablet as a representation of the amendments.

She said she wasn't aware of a request from Pastor DuBord to review the evidence, or any of his research, and therefore couldn't respond.

"I don't know what you're looking at," she said when WND described some of DuBord's research results.

"If you look at our website there are pages of information on architectural detail, including a description of the tablets over the bench. According to the correspondence between the sculptor and the architect, it is the ten amendments," she said.

DuBord, however, provides documentation that he believes is more than sufficient to change that statement by the court.

That so-called "Weinman letter" somehow apparently made its way into the archives between 1975, when the court's official information described the tablet as the "Ten Commandments," and 1988, one year after the court building became a historic landmark under the National Park Service, and all references to the tablet being the Ten Commandments were removed.

The pastor said in his earlier research that letter "likely" is bogus and certainly shouldn't be regarded as sufficient evidence because it lacks Weinman's signature, his letterhead, and a routine stamp from Gilbert's office that was used when he received documentation at the time.

The court also told a newspaper reporter that letter had been followed up with a written acknowledgment, and the handwritten notes accompanying the documentation supported the "amendments" interpretation.

DuBord, who describes himself as a "former atheist, then agnostic," also says he is a "recovering doubter." So he arranged to have Smithsonian files on the court building loaned to his local library.

There, searching through pages of microfiche, he found the letter to which court officials refer, dated Oct. 31, 1932. However, he found the Smithsonian copy of the letter has two pages, while the Supreme Court has one, making the one at the court an apparent re-typing.

It also contains a relatively long explanation, in the reference "showing the figure of Law resting on the tablet of the ten amendments to the Constitution known as the 'Bill of Rights.'" Why would Weinman address his "boss," the architect of the building, by teaching him about the ten amendments, as if he did not know what they were, DuBord wondered.

"Textual critics generally prefer shorter readings, because copyists tended to make erroneous elaborations – this scribal mistake is called homoteleuton, and could have been responsible here for a secretary or someone else's erroneous copying from another source. Or was it a forger's elaboration to assure the reading audience didn't confuse the ten amendments with the Ten Commandments?" he wrote.

But he did note all of the routine verification markings for letters of this sort were absent, leaving the issue unresolved from that perspective, something that documents expert Catherine Millard, who has spent decades verifying historical documents, statements and representations, said feeds her suspicions that particular letter isn't authentic.

However, he did discover three new reasons to question the letter's authenticity.

One is the "response" from Gilbert. "There is a letter from Gilbert dated 11/4/32, five days after Weinman's correspondence, but on the letter someone has made a correction that is too unbelievably quirky to be true!"

IPB Image
This bold-faced "31st" doesn't match the rest of the typeface on a letter purportedly supporting the "Weinman" letter

The date on that letter, cited in the first sentence, is in bold-face, unlike the rest of the 1932 letter, tilted unlike the rest of the type and with the letters "st" compressed, again unlike other letters in the document, he noted.

"Why is it that this one letter, which is supposed to authenticate 'the Weinman letter,' which in turn is supposed to authenticate the ten amendments saga, has to have the date, '31st,' as the only part of the letter that has been clearly tampered with?" he asked.

"If I were a lawyer in a court of law, and was using this letter as evidence, specifically for the date mentioned in the body of it, I would have discarded it long ago, because the blatant skewing of the type would be open to so much conjecture and debate. And it is!" he said.

With doubts amplified, he went on to the "handwritten notes" from Weinman. However, those did not support the "amendments" argument either.

"The Information Officer also mentioned there were 'handwritten notes' from Adolph Weinman in the Smithsonian files that further validate the ten amendments theory. What I found was just the opposite!" DuBord said.

IPB Image
This handwritten note documents the "ten commandments," not ten amendments

IPB Image
A second handwritten note from the Smithsonian describing the frieze as the "Ten Commandments"

IPB Image
A third handwritten note from the Smithsonian calling the disputed frieze the "ten commandments"

"I not only discovered handwritten notes from Adolph Weinman describing the tablet on the East Frieze with the words 'Ten Commandments,' but I uncovered at least two additional notes (in other's handwriting?) saying the same thing."

Additionally, he found another letter, from Gilbert to Weinman, dated Sept. 17, 1932, just a month before the famous "Weinman letter," which does have Gilbert's letterhead and signature.

"On the second page of it Gilbert specifically spells out what he wants to see in the East Frieze. And guess what he says? He wants 'the ten Commandments,'" DuBord found.

IPB Image
Here Gilbert spells out his request for the "ten Commandments"

"Keep in mind Cass Gilbert was a perfectionist and an exacting man, evidenced in his correspondence to Weinman, dated 12/28/32, in which he told him, 'under no circumstances would it be advisable to modify the design on the sculpture,'" DuBord said.

So one month before the "Weinman letter," Gilbert tells Weinman that he wants the Ten Commandments on the East Frieze, Dubord wrote. "This is surely one more reason to cast doubt upon the "Weinman letter' authenticity and hypothesis."

He said there is one inescapable conclusion: "That someone either didn't do enough research or that there is a supreme cover up."

"The weight of evidence against the 'Weinman letter' is substantial: including (1) the spurious nature of the 'Weinman letter,' (2) the genuine nature of the 'Gilbert letter,' (3) several handwritten documents including at least one in Adolph Weinman's own hand, describing the tablet as the 'Ten Commandments,' not to mention the facts (from 'National Treasure') that (4) Adolph Weinman created just a couple years later an exact duplicate of the tablet in the center of East Frieze over on the Oscar Straus Memorial in D.C. and called it 'the Ten Commandments' and (5) that architect Gilbert planned and displayed six other depictions of Moses and/or the Ten Commandments on the Supreme Court Building," the pastor concluded.

Further, he said, the culture during the time the building was constructed generated these comments:

"Our laws are founded upon the Decalogue, not that every case can be exactly decided according to what is there enjoined, but we can never safely depart from this short, but great, declaration of moral principles, without founding the law upon the sand instead of upon the eternal rock of justice and equity." – Supreme Court of North Carolina, 1917.

"The weight of historical, documentary, and architectural evidence clearly leans the scale to the fact that the tablet (or tableau) in the center of the East Frieze is the Ten Commandments, not the ten amendments. As a result, I, as well as tens of thousands across this country, are respectfully asking the Court to reconsider its change in years back in describing this tablet as the 'ten amendments,' instead calling it by its original identification for decades before: 'the Ten Commandments," he asked. Pastor DuBord's earlier research also noted the heritage of Christian also is being removed from information released about the Monticello and Jamestown historic sites.

This is sick. When I was a little girl going on those tours they were dscribed as 'The Ten Commandments'. This is what revisionist history gets ya'. mad.gif

You will never find me arguing "debating" with you on that point.

P.S. this is no doubt a symbol of "that which restrains" in 2Thessalonians 2:6-7, the same word used here:

Romans 1:18

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold (katecho) the truth in unrighteousness;

2 Thessalonians 2:6

And now ye know what withholdeth (katecho) that he might be revealed in his time.

Moses was the "lawgiver" and this is what revelation reveals about the ten commandments ("2" tablets of stone)

Revelation 14

8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Commentary on Romans 1 (I know, it's "cut and paste", and to those who complain about it I ask "so, what?")

QUOTE
The apostle begins to show that all mankind need the salvation of the gospel, because none could obtain the favour of God, or escape his wrath by their own works. For no man can plead that he has fulfilled all his obligations to God and to his neighbour; nor can any truly say that he has fully acted up to the light afforded him. The sinfulness of man is described as ungodliness against the laws of the first table, and unrighteousness against those of the second. The cause of that
sinfulness is holding the truth in unrighteousness. All, more or less, do what they know to be wrong, and omit what they know to be right, so that the plea of ignorance cannot be allowed from any. Our Creator's invisible power and Godhead are so clearly shown in the works he has made, that even idolaters and wicked Gentiles are left without excuse. They foolishly followed idolatry; and rational creatures changed the worship of the glorious Creator, for that of brutes, reptiles, and senseless images. They wandered from God, till all traces of true religion must have been lost, had not the revelation of the gospel prevented it. For whatever may be pretended, as to the sufficiency of man's reason to discover Divine truth and moral obligation, or to govern the practice aright, facts cannot be denied. And these plainly show that men have dishonoured God by the most absurd idolatries and superstitions; and have degraded themselves by the vilest affections and most abominable deeds.
(source)

(Romans chapter 1)

This "ten commandments" debate in our nation has to do with men who try to suppress God's divine nature in unrighteousness and turn to their "senseless images" of superstition (I.E. the "ten amendments" giving glory to man's depravity(rights of man) rather than the "ten commandments" giving glory to God's Holiness (responsibility of man), by deliberate suppression of the truth). When "law" is removed from the mind, the restraint is removed allowing for ungodliness and unrighteousness to prevail, which is what we see happening in this country. The "law" doesn't save us from sin, it convicts us and brings us to the knowledge of God's grace and Holiness, not our own. Man made laws do not have that effect, which is why we have so many of them. (my words)

QUOTE
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision (revelation), the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (commentary)

The restrainer is being removed (2 Thessalonians 2) and "that man of sin/lawlessness" (anomos) is being revealed by God's wrath.

Romans 1:18

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold (katecho) the truth in unrighteousness;

(or "suppresses (katecho) the truth in unrighteousness")

P.S. I believe this all ties in directly to the "image of the beast that speaks"

mmddll
In other words, men "katecho" (holds down, suppresses) the truth in unrighteousness, but the law of God (truth in Christ) "katechos" (holds back) unrighteousness until it is "taken out of the way, or midst" (ginomai ek mesos)

I have a controversy with the word used for "taken" because it is the same word used in other places for "become" or "married". This is the only verse in the entire New Testament where this same word "ginomai" is translated "taken"

This is an interesting thought! I will have to check this out futher. Thanks for

the information here. I too believe as you stated in your 1st post that the USA

is a part of Mystery Bablyon. When I have more time I will go back over the link

and your thread here to see if I can grasp it a little more clearly.

Thanks Val,

In a post I just made I quoted the KJV of Proverbs 29:18, but I meant to point this out in other translations:

NASB: Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
GWT: Without prophetic vision people run wild, but blessed are those who follow God's teachings.
KJV: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
ASV: Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
BBE: Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy.
DBY: Where there is no vision the people cast off restraint; but happy is he that keepeth the law.
JPS: Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
WBS: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
WEB: Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.
YLT: Without a Vision is a people made naked, And whoso is keeping the law, O his happiness!
http://bible.cc/proverbs/29-18.htm

This speaks so loudly to what is happening to the moral fiber of our world and points to the spirit of antichrist, or "man of lawlessness and perdition" (I believe Paul is speaking about a "group" man, indicated in singular form, but that is just my thoughts).

Revelation 17
13They have one purpose (mind) and will give their power and authority to the beast.
14They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."
15Then the angel said to me, "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.
16The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
17For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled.

mmddll
The word used in proverbs 29:18 for "perish" in the KJV is "para" and means:
  1. to lead, act as leader
  2. to let go, let loose, ignore, let alone
  3. (Qal)
    1. to let go, let loose
    2. to let alone, avoid, neglect
    3. to loosen
  4. (Niphal) to be let loose, be loosened of restraint
  5. (Hiphil)
    1. to cause to refrain
    2. to show lack of restraint
    3. to let loose restraints

I came across this one while searching the concordance

Proverbs 29:4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts (bribes) overthroweth it.

bribery is a way to get someone to "look the other way" rather than at the truth, for personal gain. This is akin to blackmail. I just wonder how much of that sort of thing goes on behind closed doors in the Supreme Court? Who in their right mind could decide that abortion is morally acceptable (thou shall not murder)? Or that a business, through the law of "eminent domain" can come in and forcefully remove someone from their own property (thou shall not steal; thou shall not covet thy neighbors house, oxen, or wife)? etcetera.. etcetera...

QUOTE
The Supreme Court ruled yesterday that local governments may force property owners to sell out and make way for private economic development when officials decide it would benefit the public, even if the property is not blighted and the new project's success is not guaranteed.

or that divorce should be quick and easy and that women should be paid child support, even when the man is fully capable of caring for the child (while women scream "equal rights for women" and get their cake (child support payments) and eat it too (abortion on demand)? (I'm just generalizing, and alot of men are "dirtbags" and don't take care of their children the way they should)

Isaiah 3:12
O My people! Their oppressors are children,
And women rule over them

I agree. I believe that America is Mystery Babylon and represents
the times...we are in. NYC is the emblem of that system that is
now being revealed. Spiritual Babylon is the entire world system.

Is there a blessing on America...yes, for those that believe and
love the Lord Jesus Christ...however, more will be revealed.

Let
us not look to material wealth only...we have the strongest and
wealthiest of nations, and power...however, we are Laodicea...
that age, lacking spiritual power, lacking in faith...but for the
few that press in and come out of the system...

into the wilderness
kept by the Lord...

Amen sister. I missed your post earlier.

I forgot to say earlier that our Youth Pastor preached Sunday Night
over this passage in Proverbs. He spoke of these very things that we
as a Nation are loosing our ability to dream or have vision! Strange the
timing of this message and the thread that you started!

Your Friend in Christ,

What did he mean by "losing our ability to dream or have vision"?

I think it would have been more proper to say "losing our ability to care" through "lack of wisdom" (lack of God's revelation). There are plenty of dreamers in the world, lying down dogs loving to slumber.

QUOTE

Isaiah 56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Isa. 28: 7
But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

mmddll
P.S. I didn't mean for what followed my question to sound like an insult to your youth pastor, if that's the way it came off. It's just something that occurred to me, that's all. I'm just wondering what he meant, because usually my "dreams" of what I want to do never come to pass and usually are not God's will, anyway. I'm just trying to unsderstand his definition of "dreams" and "vision".
signet

under the mantle of prophetic gifts are dreams and visions...
that is not to say that every dream or kind of vision is of the
prophetic...

there is a gifting, however, that includes dreams and visions...
and God does reveal Himself this way...and gives the understanding,
as well as, giving the gift of interpretation...these come in various
ways...and intensity, I guess you could say...

like this, you are having a particular download of the Spirit and
you are trying to communicate what the Lord is showing you....and
yet, it is still difficult to explain how the connection is happening...
except that you know that it is somehow not you, but Him in control.

so, dreams and visions are like that. you are moving under that
same mantle...you are moving in the prophetic, yet you are not
prophesying at this point...the numbers speak, as the words speak
and because you are being filled with both, your faith is being
built as we speak...and you will speak forth...for it is filling you up,
and you will speak forth from what you are experiencing and learning
in such a unique way, that YOU KNOW that it is of God.

The proof comes in the confirmations and sometimes that takes time.

I encourage and exhort you because I recognize the gifts and the
fruit coming forth.

Blessings,
Signet

I understand the prophetic gifts of dreams and visions, but I just wonder how many people are confused about the definition of such things, when we hear people say "I have a vision" or "I have a dream". George Bush, for example has said "I have a vision of a peaceful two state solution" (paraphrased) and the religious community has swallowed it hook line and "stinker" when the "prophetic" vision of God's word says He is against a divided Israel (and a divided church). Jesus even wept over Jerusalem, and prophetically, He is going to return and fight against the nations that try to destroy them and divided their land after He brought them back, at Armageddon.

The last days dreams and visions will be "blood and fire and billows of smoke" not "peace and safety" in a nation without walls.

Isaiah 5

The Song of the Vineyard
1 I will sing for the one I love
a song about his vineyard:
My loved one had a vineyard
on a fertile hillside.

2 He dug it up and cleared it of stones
and planted it with the choicest vines.
He built a watchtower in it
and cut out a winepress as well.
Then he looked for a crop of good grapes,
but it yielded only bad fruit.

3 "Now you dwellers in Jerusalem and men of Judah,
judge between me and my vineyard.

4 What more could have been done for my vineyard
than I have done for it?
When I looked for good grapes,
why did it yield only bad?

5 Now I will tell you
what I am going to do to my vineyard:
I will take away its hedge,
and it will be destroyed;
I will break down its wall,
and it will be trampled.

6 I will make it a wasteland,
neither pruned nor cultivated,
and briers and thorns will grow there.
I will command the clouds
not to rain on it."

7 The vineyard of the LORD Almighty
is the house of Israel,
and the men of Judah
are the garden of his delight.
And he looked for justice, but saw bloodshed;
for righteousness, but heard cries of distress.
Woes and Judgments
8 Woe to you who add house to house
and join field to field
till no space is left
and you live alone in the land.

9 The LORD Almighty has declared in my hearing:
"Surely the great houses will become desolate,
the fine mansions left without occupants.

10 A ten-acre [a] vineyard will produce only a bath [b] of wine,
a homer [c] of seed only an ephah [d] of grain."

11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning
to run after their drinks,
who stay up late at night
till they are inflamed with wine.

12 They have harps and lyres at their banquets,
tambourines and flutes and wine,
but they have no regard for the deeds of the LORD,
no respect for the work of his hands.

13 Therefore my people will go into exile
for lack of understanding;
their men of rank will die of hunger
and their masses will be parched with thirst.

14 Therefore the grave [e] enlarges its appetite
and opens its mouth without limit;
into it will descend their nobles and masses
with all their brawlers and revelers.

15 So man will be brought low
and mankind humbled,
the eyes of the arrogant humbled.

16 But the LORD Almighty will be exalted by his justice,
and the holy God will show himself holy by his righteousness.

17 Then sheep will graze as in their own pasture;
lambs will feed [f] among the ruins of the rich.

18 Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit,
and wickedness as with cart ropes,

19 to those who say, "Let God hurry,
let him hasten his work
so we may see it.
Let it approach,
let the plan of the Holy One of Israel come,
so we may know it."

20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.

21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.

22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine
and champions at mixing drinks,

23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
but deny justice to the innocent.
(see my next post)

24 Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw
and as dry grass sinks down in the flames,
so their roots will decay
and their flowers blow away like dust;
for they have rejected the law of the LORD Almighty
and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.

25 Therefore the LORD's anger burns against his people;
his hand is raised and he strikes them down.
The mountains shake,
and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets.
Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,
his hand is still upraised.

26 He lifts up a banner for the distant nations,
he whistles for those at the ends of the earth.
Here they come,
swiftly and speedily!

27 Not one of them grows tired or stumbles,
not one slumbers or sleeps;
not a belt is loosened at the waist,
not a sandal thong is broken.

28 Their arrows are sharp,
all their bows are strung;
their horses' hoofs seem like flint,
their chariot wheels like a whirlwind.

29 Their roar is like that of the lion,
they roar like young lions;
they growl as they seize their prey
and carry it off with no one to rescue. 30 In that day they will roar over it
like the roaring of the sea.
And if one looks at the land,
he will see darkness and distress;
even the light will be darkened by the clouds.

Joel 2

1Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

3A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

4The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

5Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

6Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

7They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

8Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

9They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

10The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

12Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

14Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?

15Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

17Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

18Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

19Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

20But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up (hook line and "stinker"), and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

21Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

22Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come. 32And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila

WASHINGTON – Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, the Mexican drug smuggler given immunity to return to the United States and testify against two Border Patrol agents, was involved in smuggling a second load of marijuana into the United States after he was given court protection, records have confirmed.

Newly released transcripts of the trial of Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos have corroborated WND reports that the Mexican illegal alien was involved in the second drug case, this one involving a load of marijuana brought into the U.S. in October 2005.

The incident followed his grant of immunity by U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton in return for truthful testimony against Ramos and Compean. The former agents are serving 11 and 12 year prison terms for their actions in a Feb. 17, 2005, incident in which they shot Aldrete-Davila as he was fleeing across the border into Mexico.

Activist organizations have made repeated calls for President Bush to pardon the former agents, who, they say, are being punished for doing their duty.

As WND also has reported Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., has sponsored a resolution calling for a congressional pardon for Ramos and Compean, and his office confirmed the resolution already has 82 co-sponsors.

The transcripts obtained by WND include a discussion between the agents' defense attorney, Mary Stillinger, prosecutor Debra Kanof, and Judge Kathleen Cardone, outside of the presence of the jury.

"For instance, let's just start with – not the October load, let's start with this load," Stillinger states matter-of-factly in the discussion.

Stillinger charged Aldrete-Davila lied when he described himself under oath as a drug amateur who only agreed to drive the drugs to a U.S. stash house because of his indigent state.

"But he (Aldrete-Davila) told them (the jury) the story about he's a little mule, and he needed money for his mother's doctor bills, and he needed money to renew his commercial driver's license. He doesn't know who hired him. He doesn't know where the stash house."

Stillinger then argued Aldrete-Davila's second offense revealed him as an experienced drug smuggler:

"In light of the fact that he (Aldrete-Davila) did it again in October, and he personally took the load to the stash house, I think they (prosecution) know that that's a lie."

Stillinger argued Aldrete-Davila's statement compromised his grant of immunity, which the prosecution had predicated upon Aldrete-Davila telling the truth. Stillinger continued, mocking statements Aldrete-Davila made about himself under oath which Stillinger claimed were lies, given the second drug offense:

"It goes to the scope of his immunity. One is, he was dishonest back then when he said I'm just a poor little mule. Some guy named Chavo, but I have no idea who he is, hired me. I don't know where the stash house is. Someone was going to meet me and tell me all those things. Those were lies he told back in March."

The transcript shows that during the trial conference with the prosecution and defense lawyers, the judge talked about Aldrete-Davila's second offense in an equally matter-of-fact way.

The transcript shows Cardone commenting as follows:

"In other words, all the investigation they've (government) done to investigate this case leads up to him (Aldrete-Davila) coming into the country, and then in October committing this second involvement. Okay? But there's no lying, if that's what we're characterizing it as, until the October incident."

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., told WND the trial transcript now makes clear "the prime witness against these two Border Patrol agents was involved in another major load of drugs and the prosecution made a conscious decision to keep these facts from the jury."

At the trial, Cardone ruled Aldrete-Davila was not on trial. She ruled that no reference about the October 2005 drug offense was to be made to the jury, and she sealed all records concerning that offense, despite vigorous defense objections that this information not only violated Aldrete-Davila's immunity grant but also went to the heart of the defense argument that the smuggler's testimony was not credible.

Rohrabacher expressed continued outrage that Sutton had decided to grant immunity to an admitted drug dealer so he could prosecute two Border Patrol agents who were trying to apprehend him.

"Once Aldrete-Davila was caught a second time," Rohrabacher told WND, "it unmasks the indefensible nature of the prosecutor's decision to go after the Border Patrol agents. If the jury is not allowed to know about Aldrete-Davila's second offense, then Ramos and Compean did not get a fair trial."

The revelation also "raises questions whether what we're talking about here is two honest Border Patrol agents who stumbled across a drug cartel operation and are being punished for coming up against the power of the cartel," Rohrabacher said. "The second drug incident makes clear that Aldrete-Davila's profession is drug smuggling."

Rohrabacher was harshly critical of both Sutton and President Bush.

"What Ramos and Compean got was a screw job from day one by the U.S. attorney's office in order to send a message to all Border Patrol agents," Rohrabacher told WND. "The message from Sutton was that the president of the United States makes policy on the border, so don't get in the way. If you haven't gotten the message yet, this is an open border."

He said Sutton was running a "public relations campaign" and charged that his purpose has been to "poison the well of public opinion, calling Ramos and Compean corrupt, when there never were any corruption charges, then suggesting they shot an unarmed man in the back, when we only have (the) drug dealer's word he was unarmed and the medical evidence is that he was not shot in the back."

"In the Ramos-Compean case we have lie after lie after lie coming out of Sutton's office," the congressman told WND. "And now we've got a public relations campaign to protect Sutton because he is a protégé of the president and the president doesn't want to see his career destroyed."

Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, was equally critical of the prosecution.

"It would now appear that Aldrete-Davila was not some innocent, poor migrant mule bringing narcotics into the United States so he could buy medicine for his sick mother," he said.

"From a reading of the trial transcript, it would now appear that there is at least one more case of bringing drugs into the United States illegally involving Aldrete-Davila," said Poe.

The Texas congressman also insists the information should have reached the jury.

"If the jury would have heard about this second instance, it certainly would have affected the drug smuggler's credibility," he said. "The drug smuggler was the prosecution's case. This star witness, Aldrete-Davila, had a lot of baggage, no pun intended."

WND previously reported the prosecution provided Aldrete-Davila with a multiple-use border pass signed by Homeland Security Special Agent Christopher Sanchez, along with his badge number. WND also had specifically asked Sutton a broadly framed question, whether "there was any second incident of any kind involving Aldrete-Davila." He responded by denying the prosecution's star witness was involved in any second drug incident, but the trial transcript now available appears to directly contradict Sutton's denial.

Where is the Bushmeister? Where's the beef! Where's the beefed up Homelandt SeKKKurity? Women will rule over us, and children will be our oppressors.

At the trial, Cardone ruled Aldrete-Davila was not on trial. She ruled that no reference about the October 2005 drug offense was to be made to the jury, and she sealed all records concerning that offense...

yes!

the adversary would always point to the "other", so as to go undetected.
it is the "other" that we war against, instead of the principalities of darkness

From the World Net Daily story below…

WND previously reported that at that meeting the DHS Inspector General's office asserted it had documentary evidence Ramos and Compean:

  1. confessed to knowingly shooting at an unarmed suspect;
  2. stated during the interrogation they did not believe the suspect was a threat to them at the time of the shooting;
  3. stated that day they "wanted to shoot a Mexican";
  4. were belligerent to investigators;
  5. destroyed evidence and lied to investigators.
Under questioning by Culberson, Skinner admitted DHS did not in fact have investigative reports to back up the claims: "The person who told you that misinformed you," Skinner reportedly replied.

This certainly explains quite a bit. The above admission by the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General, Richard Skinner confirms what many have suspected for sometime now–the government has been conspiring to cover up and bury their inappropriate and criminal actions in regards to their malicious prosecution of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

Johnny Sutton, Debra Kanof, Richard Skinner, Alberto Gonzales, and George Bush, to name a few, are all abject con artists and despicable examples of human beings. They didn't simply lie to protect their own asses. They lied in order to send two good men to jail–men who had only done as they were trained to do by the federal government and the border patrol. How long does this trail of lies extend? How many more deceptions and untruths yet remain tucked away in order to protect reputations of dishonorable people who have no shame?

Imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos was severely beaten in prison, Ramos' family members have confirmed to WND.

In interviews with WND tonight, both Ramos's wife Monica and father-in-law Joe Loya confirmed that Ramos says he was assaulted in prison on Saturday night by a group of five Hispanic inmates who Ramos took to be illegal immigrants.

In a phone call from prison, Ramos told his wife earlier today that the assailants allegedly threatened him in Spanish, taunting him with, "**** la migra," insulting him – "migra" roughly translating as "immigration," slang for Border Patrol agent.

The assault occurred at Yazoo City Federal Correctional Complex, a medium facility federal prison in Mississippi, where Ramos had been moved about 10 days ago.

Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean began prison sentences last month, of 11 and 12 years respectively, for their actions in the shooting and wounding of a Mexican drug smuggler who was granted full immunity to testify against them. The case has caused national outrage, and dozens of congressmen are publicly insisting President Bush grant an immediate pardon of the two law enforcement officers.

Ramos's family feels that the decision to place him in a medium security prison violates a promise from federal authorities Ramos would be kept in isolation at a minimal security prison.

At Yazoo, Ramos was housed with the general prison population. A medium security prison such as Yazoo would be expected to house illegal immigrants, including those incarcerated on drug offenses.

The prison attack came immediately after the airing Saturday night of a segment on Ramos and Compean by the "America's Most Wanted" television show.

"On Saturday night my husband said he went to bed," Monica Ramos told WND late today.

She recounted the telephone call from her husband in prison earlier in the day: "He just told me that he dropped his guard. 'They got me,' Nacio told me, 'they got me pretty good.'"

"'What happened?'" Monica Ramos said she asked her husband. "He told me they were in the television room watching 'America's Most Wanted.' After that, some time after 10 p.m., he went back to his cubicle and was almost falling asleep. He awoke to the sound of shoes stomping. It startled him because at night the prisoners are supposed to take their shoes off and put flip-flops on."

She continued: "He said he didn't have a chance to turn around and look at any of the guys attacking him at that time. He just felt a blow to the back of his head. The prisoners were kicking him with steel-toe shoes, the work boots they are issued in prison. They kept kicking and kicking. And they kept calling him in Spanish a **** immigration officer, saying 'darle, darle,' which means, 'give it to him.' They were cussing him out in Spanish. He couldn't fight back he was outnumbered."

According to Loya, Ramos also said of the attack: "They kicked me in the head, they kicked me all over the body. I'm all bruised and very sore."

How did the attack stop?

"No security came to his rescue," the jailed Border Patrol agent's wife told WND. "Another inmate came and got Ramos and said 'Hey, dude, let me help you up.' The other inmate walked my husband over to security."

Did the prison give him any medical treatment?

"As of the time we talked this afternoon, the prison still hadn't given him any medical treatment," she said, adding that he told her, "'I asked all day yesterday.' I'm in a lot of pain and I have blood coming out of my left ear.'

"His head and his back are hurting him badly. He said it was almost time for the prison doctor to go for the day and he wasn't sure when any doctor would be able to see him."

Ramos told his wife he was able to identify only one of the five assailants: "They all cursed me in Spanish," he said, according to Loya. "As they were beating me up and kicking me, they kept calling me 'migra,' 'migra.' I'm pretty sure they were all illegal immigrants."

Ramos told his wife that he was badly bruised and bleeding from the ears. He said that immediately after the attack, he was placed back into solitary confinement, where he has been for the last two days.

"He told me that he asked to call me Sunday, after the attack," Monica Ramos continued, "but the prison wouldn't let him call me and they wouldn't let him call his attorney. He said the only reason the prison was letting him call now, on Monday, was because the Congress intervened, otherwise he wouldn't have been permitted any calls at all."

Patti Compean, wife of imprisoned agent Jose Compean, told WND her husband was in a different prison, still in solitary confinement.

Today is Ramos' 38th birthday. According to Loya, Ramos's three sons, aged 7, 9 and 13, woke up crying, not wanting to go to school. The children wanted to buy a cake and wait for their father to call so they could sing "Happy Birthday" to him on the phone and blow out the candles.

Early this morning, Loya began working with the office of U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R.-Calif., to see if the warden would give Ramos special permission to call home on his birthday, after his children got home from school.

However, the birthday call didn't happen, Monica Ramos told WND.

"We went out and bought a cake," she said. "The kids came home expecting their dad to call from prison so they could wish him a happy birthday. But there isn't going to be any call. My 7-year-old, when he woke up this morning, the first thing he asked was if we could still celebrate today. I told him, 'Sure we can, baby,' and he's been looking forward to it all day."

However, Monica added, in tears: "He told me, 'They're not going to let me call later today.' He said the call in the afternoon only happened because Congress allowed it to happen. He said he doesn't have any privileges in prison. He hasn't even gotten the mail that everybody has been sending him. He told me, 'You really need to get me out of here.' That's what he told me last."

If all of this is true I am so outraged! We as Christians need to start rising up and making our voices heard against this lawless government and the lukewarm church that tags along. President Bush is a lawless criminal for allowing these things to happen and judging other nations when ours is no better. Judgment begins at the house of God, not out there in a foreign land. God has given us borders for a reason, and a military which is supposed to defend them, not to be sent into foreign lands to spread "demon-cracy" and emperialism.

The article I read about how the Kurds in Iraq are being ignored sums up the seal of this once great nation which has become a harlot with many wicked lovers and no boundaries between good and evil.

QUOTE

Violence Toward God’s Law (Laodicean church)

God’s people have gotten so far away from His presence that they are becoming entangled with false religion. Zephaniah 1:9 states that God’s own people are committing violence against their master’s house. Violence against God’s house would include violence against the ark of the covenant. God’s Laodicean people have been violently moved away from the Ten Commandments. Here is what Joseph Tkach wrote to the members of the WCG in a co-worker letter (May 27, 1992): “These moral problems, along with the more ‘invisible’ moral problems of neglect and oppression of the weak and the poor, and corruption in business, politics and religion, would indeed be improved if people began keeping the Ten Commandments. However, it is a common mistake to assume, ‘If everybody would just keep the Ten Commandments, what a nice world we would have.’ Christians should consider that the Ten Commandments do not require kindness, mercy, compassion, generosity, sacrifice for others, impartiality, patience or love. Nor do the Ten Commandments specifically forbid conceit, envy, hatred, rage or selfish ambition.”

The above statement is violence against God’s law! God’s law has everything to do with love (Rom. 13:10). If everyone in this world would keep the Ten Commandments, the world would definitely be changed. The earth would become like the garden of Eden. God’s Ten Commandments do require kindness, mercy, compassion, generosity, sacrifice for others, impartiality, etc. The Ten Commandments do forbid conceit, envy, hatred, rage and selfish ambition. That law expresses the very love of God! (I John 5:3).

QUOTE

That according to California pastor and researcher Todd DuBord who says he was stunned on a recent tour of the historic town when "our guide responded to our inquiry by saying that she was 'unable to speak about the plaques. We are only allowed to say they are religious plaques.'" Jamestown is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year.

Isaiah 5:12 They have harps and lyres at their banquets,
tambourines and flutes and wine,
but they have no regard for the deeds of the LORD,
no respect for the work of his hands.

I heard on a Christian radio station the other day about a Christian led tour which explores the capitol, Mt. Vernon, and I believe Williamsburg and Jamestown, as well, which is NOT afraid to speak the truth concerning American history. (Unlike the tours conducted by the current government.) If I were to go back 'home' to see anything historical (which I won't, I want to remember her without all the extra security AND the P.C. rubbish.), I would seek these out. Revisionist history has just about done away with all of the truth regarding our founding, it's no wonder so many are lost both spiritually and politically. "They" have no esteem for Our Lord and the role He played in our founding. We were founded so that we may freely worship Him, not a king, not a church, but Him.

In Christ, Angela
