Google Earth to launch new service for stargazers By Kate Holton

LONDON (Reuters) - Popular mapping service Google Earth will launch a new feature called Sky, a "virtual telescope" that the search engine hopes will turn millions of Internet users into stargazers.


Google, which created Google Earth to give Internet users an astronaut's view that can zoom to street level, said the service would be a playground for learning about space.

"Never before has a roadmap of the entire sky been made so readily available," said Dr. Carol Christian of the Space Telescope Science Institute, who co-led the institute's Sky team.

"Sky in Google Earth will foster and initiate new understanding of the universe by bringing it to everyone's home computer."

Like Google Earth, Sky will enable users to float and zoom in on over 100 million individual stars and 200 million galaxies. Users will view the sky as seen from earth.

It has created different layers which will show the life of a star, constellations, high-resolution images provided by the Hubble Space Telescope and a users guide to galaxies.

A backyard astronomy layer lets users click through stars, galaxies and nebulae visible to the eye, binoculars and small telescopes.

The imagery was stitched together from numerous third parties including the Digital Sky Survey Consortium, the United Kingdom Astronomy Technology Centre and the Anglo-Australian Observatory. The imagery will be updated over time.

"We're excited to provide users with rich astronomical imagery and enhanced content that enables them to both learn about what they're seeing and tell their own stories," said Google Product Manager Lior Ron in a statement.

"By working with some of the industry's leading experts, we've been able to transform Google Earth into a virtual telescope."

Google Earth launched in June 2005 to combine its search service with satellite imagery, maps and 3D building to display geographical information of the world. The search engine says over 250 million people have downloaded it.

The Sky service will be available on all Google Earth domains, in 13 languages from later on Wednesday. Users will need to download the newest version of Google Earth which can be found at www.earth.google.com

LONDON (Reuters) - Ancient bacteria are able to survive nearly half a million years in harsh, frozen conditions, researchers said on Monday in a study that adds to arguments that permafrost environments on Mars could harbor life.

The findings also represent the oldest independently authenticated DNA to date obtained from living cells and could offer clues to better understand ageing, said Eske Willerslev, a researcher at the University of Copenhagen who led the study.

"When it can live half a million years on Earth it makes it very promising it could survive on Mars for a very long time," Willerslev said. "Permafrost would be an excellent place to look for life on Mars."

The international team, which also included researchers from the United States, Canada, Russia and Sweden, tested the microbes living up to 10 meters deep in permafrost collected from Northern Canada, the Yukon, Siberia and Antarctica.

When a cell dies, its DNA fragments into pieces but the samples the researchers studied were all very long strands -- evidence the cells were able to continuously repair genetic material and remain alive, said Willerslev, whose findings were published in the Proceedings of the Academy of Sciences.

"These cells are active cells repairing DNA to deal with continuous degradation of the genomes, which is the genetic material that is key to life," he said in a telephone interview. "It is the same thing with humans."

The scientists do not yet know the mechanism driving the continuous repair but Willerslev said the cells survived by eating nutrients like nitrogen and phosphate lodged in the permafrost.

This is interesting because the temperature on Mars is much colder with more stable temperatures, representing an even better environment to sustain this kind of life, he added.

While most scientists think our neighbor in the solar system is lifeless, the discovery of microbes on Earth that can exist in environments previously thought too hostile has fuelled debate over extraterrestrial life.

Researchers had known these microbes could survive for a long time without food but until now there was little agreement on how long they could live, Willerslev said.

Knowing this, and eventually pinpointing the key to this longevity, may also help scientists better understand the ageing process, he added.

"It is interesting to see why some cells can survive for a very long time," he said. "That can be a key for understanding ageing."

Aurigidjenniskens For more than 40 years, an asteroid believed to be
potentially dangerous to Earth has been essentially lost to view. But
no
more.

The so-called 6344 P-L was first spotted in 1960, and given the
designation Potentially Hazardous Asteroid – meaning that its orbit
took it within .05 astronomical units (about 4,650,000 miles) of
Earth's
orbit. But astronomers lost track of it; left behind was only a number
and a vague sense of threat.

However, meteor researcher Peter Jenniskens of the SETI institute now
argues, with confirmation from the Smithsonian Astrophysical
Observatory' Minor Planet Center, that this wayward wanderer is in fact
the same thing as the recently discovered 2007 RR9, making a
reappearance this year as part of a
4.7-year orbit.

"The object was long recognized to be dangerous, but we didn't know
where it was. Now it is no longer just out there," said Jenniskens.

Moreover, the astronomer says, the "asteroid" doesn't really qualify as
an asteroid at all. Instead, Jenniskens believes it's the dormant
fragment of a comet nucleus, part of a larger body that broke up in the
relatively recent past (in stellar terms), creating the Gamma Piscid
meteor showers in mid-October and early November.

Under neither name is it likely to hit Earth anytime in the near
future.
But the little long-lost beastie will be high in the southern sky as it
passes by Earth in early November, about .07 astronomical unit away
(about 6.5 million miles).

China aims for moon with patriotic blast

XICHANG, China (Reuters) - China launched its first moon orbiter on Wednesday accompanied by a blaze of live-to-air patriotic propaganda celebrating the country's space ambitions and technological prowess.

The Chang'e One orbiter lifted off from the southwestern province of Sichuan at 1005 GMT. Barring technical failure, it will spend more than a year scanning the lunar surface in preparation for an unmanned moon vehicle planned for 2012 and a manned landing in future decades.

Chinese television broadcast the take-off more or less live. Domestic news reports said unnamed senior leaders were at the launch site to witness the country's latest feat in space.

The broadcast described the blast-off as untroubled.

A torrent of state media reports have celebrated Chang'e One, named after a mythical Chinese goddess who flew to the moon, as a display of the country's growing strength.

"Without a doubt, the launch of the Chang'e One will again show the world that Chinese people have the willpower, confidence and ability to constantly scale the heights of science and technology," said a commentator on the Sina Web site (news.sina.com.cn).

The patriotic upswell was echoed among thousands of space enthusiasts and tourists who crowded onto viewing platforms near the small city to view the launch, paying 800 to 1,000 yuan ($100-130) for the privilege.

"This is our first probe to the moon, and it will be a symbolic event," said one spectator, a woman surnamed Bian. "I feel this is very important for us."

Thousands of villagers in a 2.5-km (1.6-mile) radius of the site were moved before the Long March 3A rocket heaved the 2,300-kg (5,071-pound) orbiter skyward, the China News Service reported.

GREAT SIGNIFICANCE

"This has important significance for China's space program development, in particular technologically," said Chan Kwing-lam, a Hong Kong-based expert in solar physics, who will study data sent back by the orbiter.

Chan said the feat would help China catch up technically with Japan, which launched its own orbiter last month.

Beijing's space plans have faced increasing international scrutiny. Fears of a potential space arms race with the United States and other powers have mounted since China blew up one of its own weather satellites using a ground-based missile in January.

Beijing has stressed that its intentions are peaceful.

"China will not be involved in a moon race with any other country and in any form," the chief commander of the orbiter project, Luan Enjie, told Xinhua news agency on Wednesday.

But officials have also left little doubt they want to show the world that their country's capacity for developing homegrown technology is rising along with its economy.

President Hu Jintao told a Communist Party Congress last week that encouraging "homegrown innovation" would be a focus of state policy in coming years.

China is jostling with neighbors Japan and India -- as well as longtime space powers the United States and Russia -- for a bigger presence in outer space.

In 2003, China became only the third country -- after the United States and the then Soviet Union -- to launch a man into space aboard its own rocket. In October 2005, it sent two men into orbit, and it plans a space walk by 2008.

As well as Japan, India too is planning its first unmanned mission to orbit the moon in 2008, when the United States also plans to launch a lunar orbiter.

Scientists behind China's effort have been careful to leaven their confidence with warnings that space exploration has always been risky.

"We're convinced of our ability to successfully realize satellite exploration of the moon, but on the other hand there is this invisible pressure and anxiety," Ouyang Ziyuan, the project's chief scientist, told Outlook Weekly.

of Comet "Holmes" I have to wonder if this new vision the Lord showed
me might be tied in. I was half awake in a very relaxed state and all of a
sudden in my mind's eye a white horse burst forth from a bright area of
space. The white horse was glowing and had a gold plate on the bridle
against his forehead that said HOLY TO THE LORD. His bridle and reins
were decorated with diamonds and jewels. His mane was long and flowing
as he ran full throttle through space. His saddle was white pearl with gold
trim. He was magnificent. He snorted and ran galloping towards the earth.
Could this be a representation of both the comet and our Lord and Savior
coming for us?....I wanted him to come and ride away with us. This horse
was also very mighty in appearance and stealth. He just glowed! This
happened on Saturday October 27th 2007. We shall see...Enjoy!

EXPLODING COMET: Exploding Comet 17P/Holmes is now larger than Jupiter. Astronomer Eric Allen of Quebec's Observatoire du Cégep de Trois-Rivières combined images he captured on three consecutive nights (Oct. 25, 26 and 27) and placed them beside a picture of Jupiter scaled to the same distance as the comet:




The diaphanous and curiously spherical cloud surrounding the comet's core is now large enough to swallow the King of Planets! It's gotten so big, in fact, that many observers say they can see it without a telescope. "I estimate the comet's brightness at magnitude +2.2 and last night I could see the disk easily with the naked eye," reports Martin McKenna of Maghera, Northern Ireland. "I saw the disk, too," says Doug Zubenel of Lincoln County, Kansas. Bill Smith of puts the comet "at magnitude +2.1--nearly as bright as Polaris"--and notes that "to the naked eye, it is no longer a simple point of light." [sky map]

What would make a comet explode in this fashion? Actually, a better question is, what would make a comet explode twice in this fashion? This is the second time Comet 17P/Holmes has erupted. The first was in 1892, an outburst that led to the comet's discovery by British astronomer Edwin Holmes.

The answer may be sinkholes. There is growing evidence that some comets and asteroids may have a porous internal structure akin to, say, swiss cheese or a honycomb. Suppose one of the chambers of the honycomb suddenly collapsed, exposing many square kilometers of fresh cometary ice to sunlight for the first time. A flurry of sublimation would ensue with mega-jets of dusty gas emerging from the sinkhole to create a cloud around the comet much as we see now. Twice = two sinkholes, one in 1892 and one in 2007.

Because no one can see the comet's nucleus--it is small, far away and hidden inside a Jupiter-sized debris cloud--this "explanation" is no more than conjecture. The true events at the core of Comet Holmes remain unknown. Grab your telescope and savor the mystery!

This is what is pictured to us here. We see a glorious "Breaker" taking His place before His redeemed, breaking forth at their head, breaking down all barriers, and breaking the heads of Leviathan and all his hosts. In His right hand He has His "sore, and great, and strong sword" lifted up to smite and break down the enemy. He has wings on His feet, which tell us that He is coming very swiftly. In His left hand He carries the head of the enemy, whom he has slain.

In the Denderah Zodiac His Name is Kar Knem, he who fights and subdues.
It is a beautiful constellation of 59 stars, two of which are of the 2nd magnitude, four of the 3rd, twelve of the 4th, etc.
Their names supply us with the key to the interpretation of the picture.
The star a (in the waist) is called Mirfak, who helps. The next, g (in the right shoulder), is named Al Genib, which means who carries away. The bright star in the left foot is called Athik, who breaks!

In his left hand he carries a head, which, by perversion, the Greeks called the head of Medusa, being ignorant that its Hebrew root meant the trodden under foot. It is also called Rosh Satan (Hebrew), the head of the adversary, and Al Oneh (Arabic), the subdued, or Al Ghoul, the evil spirit.

The bright star, b (in this head), has come down to us with the name Al Gol, which means rolling round.
It is a most remarkable phenomenon that so many of these enemies should be characterised by variable stars! But this head of Medusa, like the neck of Cetus, has one. Al Gol is continually changing. In about 69 hours it changes from the 4th magnitude to the 2nd. During four hours of this period it gradually diminishes in brightness, which it recovers in the succeeding four hours; and in the remaining part of the time invariably preserves its greatest lustre. After the expiration of this time its brightness begins to decrease again. Fit emblem of our great enemy, who, "like a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8); then changing into a subtle serpent (Gen 3:8); then changing again into "an angel of light" (2 Cor 11:14). "Transforming himself" continually, to devour, deceive, and destroy.

This brings us to the conclusion of the Second Book, in which we have seen the Redeemed blessed with all blessings, delivered out of all conflict, saved from all enemies. We have seen their Redeemer, "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world," "the Conqueror," "the King of Kings and Lord of Lords."
This is the Revelation recorded in the heavens. This is the prophetic testimony inspired in the Book. And this is the heart-cry prompted by both:

Comet P17/Holmes is in the right hand/shoulder area of Perseus. The above states that the Greek's perverted the pictorial to include the head of Medusa which it doesn't(?) In His right hand He has His "sore, and great, and strong sword" lifted up to smite and break down the enemy. This expanding comet near the "sword arm" of Perseus could be very significant. I don't know how "to read" it correctly but it sure seems important to me. I think I will stay tuned and see what this comet does for the next few days... or weeks....

The implications are PROFOUND INDEED......I believe this portends the actual fulfillment of Genesis 3:15 and what Paul wrote in Romans 16:20.

This fits perfectly with the concept of ''the breaker'' or the one who ''treads down''/

Paul was giving a prophecy here that a day would come when Satan will be trodden under foot and broken in pieces.

Further, this all seems to be THE FULFILLMENT OF the oldest prophecy in the scriptures:

Note that this word is one time translated as ''break''........so the verse could have easily said....''he shall break your head''.

Thus, both Paul and Moses in Genesis use a word that can mean ''to break'' and this puts it ''in line'' with the meaning of ''the breaker''.........and again this star is appearing right where the head is in the constellation showing clearly .........as if HIGHLIGHTING......THE FACT THAT THIS IS WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.

The comet flared just beneath the arm of Perseus, that holds the sword.

In cosmology, Perseus is the "Breaker" of the devil's head.

In mythology, Perseus is the father of Perses, the founder of the
Persian nation (modern Iran).

The name "holmes" means "surrounded by water".

Warning Of Cataclysm As The 13th Sign Of The Black Sun Arrives

I, once again, feel compelled to bring forward for your attention the continuing research of Sister Adriana-Maria as outlined in her ever growing report, "Astrological Algorithms Contained In Isis Unveiled", I had previously commented upon in my report "Cross of Blood Alignment Sparks Fear of Horrific August Cataclysm".

As I had previously reported to you in my August report, Sister Adriana-Maria is a theoretical linguist who for the past three years has been researching the works of the 19th Century Russian Seer Helena Petrovna Hahn [pictured top, left], or as better known to the Western World as Madame Blavatsky, and who was the Co-Founder of the Theosophical Society.

Sister Adriana-Maria’s discovery of the new polyalphabetic cipher contained in Madame Blavatsky’s 1877 book, Isis Unveiled, has provided to us, these past few months, much greater insight into the current ‘signs of our times’, even to the point of raising our concern as to the catastrophic consequences being revealed to humanity by the sudden, and dramatic, appearance of the Head of Satan Star known as Comet Holmes.

Of this new Comet we can read as reported by Western scientists:

"A weird glow is visible in the night sky right now, and astronomers don't know what to make of it.

It's an obscure and very faint comet that suddenly blazed into astonishing brilliance and is growing larger but dimmer - and while it's still clearly visible all night long, astronomers are puzzling over the unexpected outburst.

"It's really bizarre," said Joseph Miller, a UC Santa Cruz astronomer and former director of the Lick Observatory atop Mount Hamilton near San Jose. "That thing started out only a few miles in diameter, and suddenly it expanded at a thousand miles an hour until it was as big as the Earth within only a couple of days."

But, and most importantly to Sister Adriana-Maria’s research, are the latest reports about this New Comet that “the blue-colored gaseous tail of Comet 17P/Homes [has] broke[n] away from its greenish dense nucleus”, and, at the same time that reports of Meteorite Fireballs hitting our Earths Northern Hemisphere atmosphere have been reported from the United States, Germany, Netherlands, Canada and Japan, with all occurring during the time of the ancients ‘Wandering Star’, Planet Mars, making its last grand appearance until 2016.

From the beginning of this year, Mars has gone from being 221 million miles (356 million kilometers) from Earth to this week when it will be 63 million miles (102 million kilometers) away from our planet. On November 15th, however, the War Planet Mars will seemingly halt its Eastward march through the heavens, reverse its course for the next 11 weeks, pause on January 30th, 2008, then resume its Eastward course again.

Now, with these things known to us we can see how these events are eerily close to the polyalphabetic cipher Sister Adriana-Maria has interpreted from Madame Blavatsky’s book, Isis Unveiled, Chapter 8.

The exact words as written by Madame Blavatsky say:

"Now, let us turn to the oldest written records left us by the Chaldeans, the Hermetic Book of Numbers,* and see what we shall find in the allegorical language of Hermes, Kadmus, or Thuti, the thrice great Trismegistus. "In the beginning of time the great invisible one had his holy hands full of celestial matter which he scattered throughout the infinity; and lo, behold! it became balls of fire and balls of clay; and they scattered like the moving metal** into many smaller balls, and began their ceaseless turning; and some of them which were balls of fire became balls of clay; and the balls of clay became balls of fire; and the balls of fire were waiting their time to become balls of clay; and the others envied them and bided their time to become balls of pure divine fire."

The deciphering of these words, though, reveals:

“The sudden star, though seen by all of the Earth, does not elicit the fear it should even as fire begin to stain the Northern skies. But, when Mars retreats from Ophiuchus, and the blue light separates from the green, know that war and sudden destruction is at as the Black Sun rises once again.”

There are a number of interpretations to be made from these hidden words of Madame Blavatsky, the first, and most significant, is that there are 55 words being used by her to convey her warning to us in the future. The significance of this lies in the esoteric power of numbers, and the attachment to same, of the World’s ruling dark power elite as the number 55 is believed by them to lead to ‘the direct mind of God’.

Of these dark powers who rule our Earth it is worth our time to remember what has been said of them by those few World leaders who have dared speak of them:

The knowing of the power, and uses, of numbers by the dark overlords of humanity is evidenced by Madame Blavatsky by her personally created crest of arms [see 2nd photo, upper left] which contains the symbol of the Dark Sun, known to the World today as the swastika, but whose true power, meaning, and reverence, lie in the most ancient times of our human race.

And, contained in these 55 ‘words of power’ there appears to lie a prediction for these very days in that the ‘sudden star’ Madam Blavatsky writes about could very well mean the mysterious appearance of Comet Holmes, or The Star of Satan as known to us.

Her reference to the ‘fire’ that will ‘stain’ the Northern skies could, likewise, be the sudden, and numerous reports of Fireballs currently being reported all around the World.

Most intriguing, however, of her words is her reference to Mars ‘retreating’ from Ophiuchus.

Not known to many, outside of those of us who have studied the heavens at great length, the ‘accepted’ knowledge that our Sun travels through only 12 constellations [Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces] is not true.

There exists Ophiuchus, the 13th Sign of the Zodiac known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder, of which we can read:

"The constellation, Ophiuchus, has been known since ancient times, and is better known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. It is included in the list of 48 constellations described by Ptolemy. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man handling a serpent; his body dividing the large snake into two parts, giving way to the symbol used today as an Asclepius - the medical staff.

Astrologers have not included Ophiuchus in the wheel of Astrological signs because the Sun spends only about nineteen days in this 13th sign of the Mazzaroth. Not that there wasn't a 13th sign in the Heavens, but as far as Astrologers were concerned, the Sun traveled from the constellation 'Scorpius' and then proceeded directly into the sign of Sagittarius. In reality, this was not the case. The Sun, for 19 days of the year, travels through the star constellation 'Ophiuchus' before entering Sagittarius from Scorpius."

As our Sun is about to enter into Ophiuchus, once again, while at the exact same time that the War Planet Mars is indeed ‘retreating’ as it reverses its course for 11 weeks, and as “the blue-colored gaseous tail of Comet 17P/Homes [has] broke[n] away from its greenish dense nucleus” does, indeed, seem to match Madame Blavatsky’s words, “also blue light separates from the green”, there does appear to be a valid, and concerning, warning being given to our World today about these weeks we are about to enter.

[It is also important to note that on April 6, 2007, over Jerusalem, the planet Jupiter stopped at the right foot of the 13th Sign, Ophiuchus, just above what the ancients knew as the Golden Gate of Heaven on the very day of the Jewish peoples Passover Feast of Unleavened Bread, and which celebrates their protection from the 10 plagues sent upon the Egyptians by their God. Could this have been a ‘sign’ to the Jewish mystics that from this danger they would be protected too?]

In my many decades of research, and study, I have come across many intriguing signs such as the one being given to us today by Sister Adriana-Maria through her deciphering the works of Madame Blavatsky. I have, likewise, come to appreciate the inaccuracies, of which there are many, of any person being able to always, and correctly, comprehend the multiple signs always right before us.

That is why I will tell you that this ‘sign’ of which I write about to you today, could indeed, as Madame Blavatsky does indeed appear to be saying, be a warning to us; but which like all such warnings as these should be met with strict objectivity so as not to allow yourself, or anyone, to believe to be the only truth. This is never so.

Rather, words such as Madame Blavatsky, in my experience, serve an even greater purpose in their ability to stir our minds to think beyond our ordinary lives and towards those things which have the truest of value, our loved ones, our homes, and our souls.

To be prepared, on the other hand, should these words indeed prove prophetic is what everyone should have already done, or be preparing to do. For it doesn’t take the words of the ancients, no matter how concealed or termed in mystical language and symbols, for you to know that the times we live in are much troubled and that all of the paths currently being taken by our human race all lead to Total War.

But, in knowing this know also that you’re first, and foremost, responsibility is to yourselves and your families and their protection in the troubled days to come.

It now looks to me like Comet Holmes may be related to the 7.7 quake on a 7/17
last year! This would put us nearly "500" days from that event as Comet Holmes
nears Mirfak (meaning "who helps"). When you count the months by "INCLUSIVE"
count, we see "another 17". In other words, when you count July, 2006 as month
"ONE", November, 2007 becomes month number "SEVENTEEN"!

Just an observation, I thought I would alert you all about.

The Celestial Sphere, called 17P, has either moved or is moving, It was the left point of a triangle of three points of light.

I noticed the change because I have been using the triangle, to find it quickly..

Now that is new, as of last night.

On the 10th i had overcast, and missed any chance of observation, so last night the 11th was clear, and I was surprised to see the change.

Further more, I remain steadfast, that at the very least, you are seeing Prophecy fulfilled, LUKE 21: 30 onward..

This means at least the way I understand the Prophecy, by JESUS, that soon we will be seeing allot troubles.

I also think that when the gas, or cloud begin to come into the Earth Atmosphere, it will cause hail about the wieght of 75Lbs.

There will be a large sound, ear damaging at some point, thus the trumpet, perhaps?

"It looked similar to the Andromeda galaxy--then, it began growing larger and we realized it was moving fast," reports Anna Webb of Hawaii. "Is this a new comet? A satellite burning up in the atmosphere?" Answer: It was a rocket fuel dump. Pierre Martin of Ottawa, Canada, photographed the event using his Canon 30D:



"Saturday night (Nov. 10) at 8:50 pm EST, a Delta-4 Heavy Rocket was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida," says Martin. "The payload was a Defense Support Program missile warning satellite (DSP-23). A circularization burn for the DPS-23 was scheduled for 3:01am EST, followed by a fuel dump at 3:21 am EST. Because both the Centaur rocket burn (duration: 3 minutes) and the residual fuel and oxidizer dump after payload separation occurred at an altitude of 22,000-miles, both were briefly visible to the naked eye. Through binoculars, one of the expanding clouds looked strikingly like an angel."

What is interesting is that Holmes' path crosses ALGOL, the darkest, most evil star in the Universe! (Arab name AL GHOUL!

I too think that tribulation according to prophesy should begin the last part of 2010 because 110 and 118 in psalms are golden psalms and 2011-2017 correspond with psalms 111-117 with 117 being the shortest psalm. (It kinda looks like a 9 candle menorah) Also in the language of God series the study on the great pyramid shows that Jesus comes back the end of 2017.

i was watching this "comet" and it looks like it has moved closer to the star Mirphak. As a matter of fact it looks like it is headed right for it ...like an occultation of it. The gap between that star and the "comet" has closed a little. What does that mean ...i dont know. Would anyone care to look up the story of the star Mirphak and what its name means ? And i believe Perseus was the god of war or something like that ? I dont normally give much thought to the meanings behind the constellations but i believe God is poetically trying to get our attention. Meaning in the stars that we helped put there. Makes sense to me.

Also another thing i have noticed while trying to focus in on this "comet" in a light polluted area. Is ....my eyes are becoming more sensitive and stronger to very little light. I imagine my eyesight now to be better than 20/20. Looking for faint starlight can do that to a person.

When Italian astronomer Andrea Boattini announced from Arizona’s Mount Lemmon Observatory, this past week, of his discovery of a new comet (C/2007W-Boattini), expected to be observable from Earth in June, 2008, it brought the number of new comets discovered this year to 146, and which, according to Sergei Smirnov, of the Pulkovo Observatory in St. Petersburg, constitutes 'an historically unprecedented comet swarm' never before seen entering into our Solar System.

More significantly, perhaps, of this current comet swarm entering our Solar System is that three of these comets, 17P/Holmes, 8P/Tuttle, and Boattini will be visible to our entire World during the early months of 2008.

This should tell you where Sorcha Faal is coming from. She doesn't believe the New Testament. Note that Peter, himself, accepted what Paul said. See for example: 2 Peter 3:14-16

She also seems to mix up the creation and the fact that people are created in the image of God. This is what God constantly took the nation to Israel to task for in the Old Testament when they worshiped idols and other created things, and what Hindus do when they worship animals.

This on its own is a miraculous event, An extremely rare occasion. The silence about its even existence is deafening.
There are people who i have spoke with who fact think that this is the misinterpreted story of the bible, related to the 3 days of darkness.
They think the Sun will be on the galactic cross and die and be reborn again after 3 days.

Explosive news was disclosed during my November 29th interview with NASA scientist Carey Lisse, co- investigator of the Hubble Comet 17P/Holmes observing team.



Dr. Carey Lisse, a member of the NASA Deep Impact Mission science team, a Senior Research Scientist in the Space Department, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. His current research areas are the physical properties of primitive solar system objects, dust in comets, the IPD cloud, the Proto-Solar Nebula, YSOs X-ray emission from solar system bodies---heliosphere, and solar system spacecraft missions.'



Never before explanations were disclosed during our discussion as to what caused comet 17P/Holmes unusual and unexpected "outburst". Dr. Lisse says: "17P/Holmes is very unusual. In fact I have never seen anything like this in my 20 years as (NASA) solar physicist and senior research scientist."



One of the two main possibilities as to the cause of comet Holmes sudden and unusual outburst is that an asteroid collided with comet Holmes causing dust particles to expand to the size of our Sun. This explosion was so profound, it expanded by a factor of 1,000,000,000 (1 million). Although this is extremely fascinating, it was the second possible cause that had me sitting straight up in my chair.



The second possible cause of this "extraordinary event" says Lisse, "is comet 17P/Holmes was hit by charged particles (solar winds) setting off an electrical/magnetic discharge. This source of this solar wave could have been a GRB (gamma ray burst)."



"Some of my senior colleagues at "Chandra" believe it may have been picked up by the Chandra telescope on or around October 28th. This is an ongoing investigation and may take one year to gather all the analysis to determine all the factors for this event" says Dr. Lisse.



But there is still more to this story----I asked Dr. Lisse if comet 17P/Holmes had been in the skies before. Lisse: "We know comet Holmes is a seasonal effect. It is cyclical with its last showing in 1892. What we have found in our database tells us the 1892 comet Holmes event had a similar outburst which was just slightly smaller than the current event measuring at approximately Mag. 3. The one which just occurred was Mag. 2.5 which is a bit larger."



I asked Dr. Lisse if it is possible that what is known as the "Star of Bethlehem" could have been comet Holmes, or one like it. Well he did indeed have something to say about this, and his answer may be quite the surprise to many of you.

im an experience sky watcher, and a couple of weeks back i saw something i can't explain. I was viewing the stars with my 20x80 benocs and i saw a flash like lightening. IT was a clear dry night, this was not lightening. mind it could have been stray light from a nearby aircraft but i don't recall seeing one at the time.

It would be helpful to know this wasn't near the Disney area. Anyway, I've read about some people experiencing the exact opposite -- brief moments of total darkness in broad daylight. They at first suspected an eye problem until others in the room said they experience the same thing.

My theory: both of these types of incidents are mini-warnings of upcoming supernatural events. The dark is going to be a manifestation of evil, the light a manifestation of God. This is the preview show. Could get interesting!

I may have experienced several such things in the past- seriously, in my own room. It was like thousand camera flashes went off at the same time that caused the whitest white I have ever seen (or as the men in the above described as if someone turned daylight on) but the light wasn't blinding. I am not joking, and my girlfriend has experienced it several times too.

Oh wow, just last week while driving in country far west of Dallas Texas area, I saw something that happened so fast I could not believe my eyes. It was like a huge firework blast that filled the entire sky very very brief. This was right about time when dusk is setting in, after the sunset colors have died off and almost fully dark with only glimmer of light far off in west.

I thought maybe I was imagining things at the time.

NewsChannel 7 got several calls wondering why there are “three suns” up in the sky.

No, the sun didn’t just divide and multiply – but the two large, bright flares to the sides are known as “sun dogs” according to meteorologist Larry Gebert. The scientific term for the halo is parhelion.

"Any time you get the moisture in the air that crystallizes and freezes and is fairly close to the ground - you get the reflection and refraction of the crystals along with the sun," Gebert said.

In this instance, the sun dog fully surrounds the sun, but is most visible on the sides near the horizon.

A SCIENTIFIC EXPLAINATION OF DEC. 23rd

GLP can be a great website. There are often a few gems that find there way here that aren't in the mainstream news that are important. It can also be a real pain because people shoot off their "mouths" without knowing what they are talking about.

2007 is 2012. I am sorry to say. To say everyone is going to die is totally irresponsible. To say there could be difficulties in this period is not. To say there is some big plan by the "illuminati" or others--well, who cares. They have to go through the same stuff we do and can only maintain power by consent. So they are not that important.

People need to understand that Dec 23rd is not the one and only day. In fact, there may be events leading up to and after this date. And things do not just happen because there is a scientific explaination to everything.

Sunspots and cme's of the sun occur when two or more planets align. The serverity is determined by the number of planets, the accuracy of their alignment, and what area or constellation of the solar system they are in.

In a similar fashion, the same holds true for the earth. Earthquakes and storms are earth's version of sunspots, cme's and solar flares.

You may notice it has been a little cooler than normal. This is because of the convergence of Jupiter and Pluto in the GC, or galactic center. As the two converge, it will become cooler. Around the 10th or 11th of this month, they will be in conjunct with the sun. During this period from now until then, the Sun will become aggitated--which you can view on the SOHO website. On the 10th or 11th, a huge sunspot or number of spots will form on the back of the sun.

The Sun has a 25-28 day orbit. Because of the earth's position near the solstice, it will take a few days before we see this spot com around the edge of the sun. The sun during this period will "darken", and on the 23rd, the spot should be aimed at earth--and at the same time, the earth will be aligned with the moon and mars--and jupiter will be on the other side of the sun. This should trigger one heck of a cme, which may be earth directed. Also around the 23rd, there will be a neptune venus square earth--which should also trigger simultaneous earthquake activity--among other things. Sunspots I believe also contribute a great deal of micro wave activity too. It might be a bad time for electronics and power grids if this occurs, reguardless of whether or not we are hit with a CME.

On the 12th of December, GC, Pluto and jupiter will be aligned with the earth causing a pulling, which should affect the earth's oceans' weather patterns, and could cause quake and volcanic activity. This will be modulated on the 19th and 20th by the passing of Mercury, further raising difficulty levels. Expect a cold wave to intensify as arctic air is pulled downward. Earthquakes may also be on the menu.

So if you are worried about the 23rd, you must also realize that things are going to occur before that date. How bad will things get--this is the big question? But if you wish to procure supplies for your own well-being, this weekend may be your best opportunity. To not prepare for any type of disaster is stupid. Weather can be man's best friend or worst enemy and preparations of even a modest nature can reduce the strain on any emergency services in your community or country.
