(I have posted this here and in Laurel's newest thread at
http://www.christian-forum.net/index.php?s...p;#entry102446)Everyone,
The auction of the painting turned out to be a much bigger success than thought. Although the bidding ended at $61.00, the winning bidder paid the entire maximum bid for the painting, which resulted in a payment of $250.00! In addition, an anonymous donor has requested to match the final purchase price of the painting. So, in total, this auction has actually fetched $500.00!
Praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST for the generousity of the bidder and those who were interested in extending the help that the generous, winning bidder has made possible.
The bidder had a request:
"The Lord put it on my heart to include payment of my maximum bid ($250.00) and to request that the painting be donated either to the pastor Kanthi and the orphans being evicted, or pastor David (or to whom otherwise you feel led to donate it to) It is a beautiful painting and I think would lighten the hearts of those who inspired the auction of it. A suggestion (not necessary) would be to use part of the additional donation to buy a nice frame for it (if it needs one)."
A generous request. I will PM all of the parties and we will get the money to Pastor Kanthi and determine the final destination of the painting right away.
Blessings to you all in the name of JESUS CHRIST!
Todd
