Under construction, just making sure I can start a thread before putting forth the effort and losing it, lol.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Kimi
barnabas
Well appareantly I can't edit, so I'll just reply to my own thread. (clearing throat). Man, it took me forever to get here. Dificulties at every turn trying to post here.

About myself...Love the Lord with all my heart. I believe He is Lord, the Son of God and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

I am somewhat studied on the Bible, but always put off learing the prophecies and how they apply to today. I have done that on purpose. I am an off again on again relationship with Jesus, and I ask that you all pray with me as I pray that this time I will be able to withsatnd the fiery darts of the enemy.

I have been knocked down several times going into battle against the enemy too soon, when I was not fully equiped to fight them, (demons). So here I am again, picking myself up off the ground, dusting my knees off, and standing up again.

I realize the spiriual armor of Eph. 6:10-18 is needed more so now than ever, and with the Sword, which is the Word of God, and the Shield of Faith, Belt of Truth and the Breastplate of Righteisness and the Helmet of Salvation and my feet being shod with the Gospel of the preperation of peace, and that before going foward,
I would ask someone or a collection of someones to teach me Bible Prophecy 101.

Tank yo Kimi for the welcome. Nice to meet you.

Yes I too welcome you to the forum! I will be praying for your walk
with the Lord. May He give you strength and equip you for the battle!

There are many here that know the word and could help you with prophecy.

You might start by checking out some of the prophecy threads. I am certainly
no expert but I do love to study the Word! I would be more than happy to try and
help you or point you in the direction of someone that can.

Glad you have joined,
Your Friend in Christ,
Val

Greetings and welcome to the forum.... smile.gif

The best Teacher of prophecy is the author of it....Seek Him and He will open it up to you...If we seek men for the answers we get the answer of men...If we seek Jesus for the answers we get the truth for sure!

I turned to man to for answers and got confusion....I turned to God and got clarity to what His Word is saying spiritually...

Peace to ya......

Hay barnabas. Welcome to the Forum.

Here is the begining of Prophecy 101.
1. Prophecy was Spoken threw or directly to men or woman by God. They wrote it down for you to know and read today.
2. Prophecy is of no private interpretation since it is from God it can only be understood by the Spirit of God.
3. Ask God for His Spirit before you begin.
4. Your words through the Spirit of God can also be Prophecy as long as it is indeed the Spirit of God who dwells in you. The spirit of man pretending is nothing more than babel, speaking great swelling words of emptiness. You can recognize this type by their speaking cleverly devised words that flatter mans flesh.
5. Most if not all of mans interpretations of the prophecies of the bible are understood by their flesh and are wrong. For instance the rapture, Going to heaven, and all of that nonsense. Dreamed up by the vanity of man.

So according to you Godsloft, most if not all of mans interpretations of prophecies are wrong because they are understood by the flesh. So I would assume that most all of Christians are in the flesh but you are in the Spirit? Is that safe to assume? So besides you who else is in the spirit? Is it just as select few that are the privledged? So I am curious please tell us Your interpretation of these prophecies since we are in your words understanding them by our flesh?

Your Friend in Christ,

Well, you are the second person here that has said you can't learn prophecy here. I am disappointed, but I have only wasted three days here coming to that conclusion. No big lose. Thank all of you for your welcome and civil exchange's, maybe we will cross paths again.

In Christ...Good Bye.
Pamela
barnabas would you rather the truth be spoken and the correct direction given OR just someone spewing something that may not even be truth???

No one but the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth can reveal prophectic things and truth to you....Not one man/woman can teach you to be prophectic.....It takes the individual seeking the truth in His word AND seeking Him so real revelation in all ways can be obtained...

I am sorry you didn't reconize that....We didn't mean to run you off, as I did ask you some questions to see where you were coming from....I am sorry if I offended you in any manner....

Peace to ya..

Hi Barnabas! Ah, don't mind Godsloft, he's a bit rough on the edges and abrasive. That's his style but he doesn't mean any harm. wink.gif

As for Bible prophecy, the truth to the matter, I believe it that it is received by the Holy Spirit. But, I believe it requires listening to the Spirit of God.

Now, how does one learn to listen to the Spirit of God? That's a whole different question many here are and myself included are trying to understand. So, if that is your true objective, well then welcome.

No one ran me off, lol. Everyone has been cordial if not downright hospitable. As far as only the Spirit can teach whatever whatever whatever, I realize that. But then why are there books on prophecy and how cuurrent events ties in to Bible Propheccy?

The reason I am searching is because for years I intentionally avoided the subject and reading Revealations, because I wasn't being lead at that time to learn of it.

Now I am being pulled into wanting to learn about it, so I looked it up on the Net, and you dummies smile.gif are here. lol

I saw where 113 countries got together to discuss Global Wariming, and it instantly hit me like a brick that I need to learn this area, because I am not familiar with it, and it's time! So I have an urgency I can not explain. Hope this helps.

you know Revelations fascinated me years ago and the more I looked into it the more people had opinions about it. I didn't know how people can flip the interpretations all kinds of ways. But when you really stand back and look at it....we're not going to know who interpreted Rev right until it happens. There are some things that i feel comfortable about in Rev but I've decided to study other areas and revisit Rev til later.
barnabas
c-los, please see my response in the Bible Prophecy forum, with my thread entitled "Bible Phrophesy and current event". or something close to that affect.

I just gotta say this. Me too!!! I am always trying to read about something in Revelations. The more I read the more I become interested I become.
Alot of people has told me that it is weird why I enjoying studying the book so much.

hello barnabas, i myself am new here and wanted to say hello. I saw that you said you have struggled with some things and i have been there too. I allways try to remember what Jesus said to paul in second corinthians "My Grace is suffcient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"
Gypsylass
I have a hard time with Revelations as well....but I just got my first Life Application Study Bible so I'm gonna give it another shot soon. I am finding a whole knew level of understanding when I know more about who wrote each book and a little about the history of the day and who the key players in the book are! Makes a world of difference for me....and maps...love the maps smile.gif

Wow Barn! Can I call ya Barn...LOL! for short that is...J/K

You want the book of Revelation revealed to ya huh? Just like it was stated, we can share with you what has either been revealed to us, or some can share what they "think" Revelation is saying..
This is a heated and debated topic for sure...

I can share with you that the book of Revelation was giberish to me until it was opened up to me by the Holy Spirit...Nothing like the Master Teacher....Yes, it is good that you're wanting to seek out the meaning in this book...Just this morning I heard Pastor John Hagee teaching on it...It's good stuff...

I will check out your thread in the BP under CE and see where your going with it...I pray your search yields you a harvest so full you cannot contain it....

Peace to ya...
