Backstory: I'm doing a sort of exchange program (Frontier Year Team) through my family of churches (New Frontiers). They sent me from Kansas (where I've lived all my life) to Oregon to study with the pastor and elders of another church. Oh, and I had this on Saturday morning...

My dream was that I went back home and visited my home church. At first, I was excited because my church had grown exponentially from the little church plant it was when I left. They had also gotten a new building to hold all these people.

When I went inside, I was shocked. I was in a grand cathedral! I looked around and saw people I recognized that hadn't gone to my church before. When I got up to them, I noticed that they had aged considerably from what I remember. Then, I looked around, and saw that most of the newcomers were old people! (No offense to old people! lol) I told myself it was no big deal because, all in all, it meant growth.

I found a seat towards the back and waited for worship to start. But instead of guitars and drums, I heard an organ! I again told myself it was no big deal because I love the old songs as well as the new.

After the first song, I realized that my church was no longer a church but that it had turned into a show! I wanted to leave and I could see the open door but I was afraid to walk through it especially because my pastor had started this weird monologue about satan this and satan that. It was really weird and really creeped me out.

Many are hearing the call of the Lord to come out of them, at the moment. The true church (called out ones) are meeting away from the formal dogmatic institutions we use to call "church" Church is really the called out ones that follow Jesus, gave up everything for Him, laid down their lives for Him.Those who died to self so they can live. Those who freely give because freely they have received (not for salaries or money or gain) Those who eat the unleavened Bread of the Word and care not for the doctrines of man, nor the "security" of being accepted in a group.(some do,even if the group is not Scripturally pure)

Christ is not divided, so we cannot have denominations as it is not of God.We are suppose to have only One that ties us together: Jesus Christ (the Word, that became flesh) all those who follow the Bread without leaven, are following the Master, even unto death. The rest are not.

A strange "unplanned by man-thing" is happening all around the world....people are leaving the "churches" and starting to follow after Jesus Himself. We are meeting in houses all around the world. Nobody gets paid, no buildings are being built. love C

not to get technical but we are the Laodecian church like it or not. it's just a matter of what we do within the church.
besides we have to look at something more broader than show and spectacles because the Laodecian church age is more than 20 years old. smile.gif
