I am working with a minister friend from Kansas who is here laying the ground work in prayer for 400+ people who are coming here to New Orleans to do street ministry during Mardi Gras. They do make a difference in the lives of many. Many runaways come here at this time. God convicts many backsliders also as they participate in the decadence. Others are open to ministry due to the emptiness that bankrupt morals and debauchery bring.
Please pray through 'Ash Wednesday' for the deliverance and salvation of many, and that many backsliders and runaways return to their Heavenly Father or their father and mother. Remember "the effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much".

Will be standing in agreement with you....
America took a hit on 911 that aroused her out of her sleep. She hit the snooze button and closed her eyes and went back to sleep. The alarm keeps going off and her eyes peek open when the Katrinas happen, only to fall back to sleep....

Me, too. Also, to the protection of these ministers as they spread the Word.

We've been doing street ministry and I've met dozens? of ministers, but only two are from here. The church here is not represented much at all. Thank God for sending so many ordinary folks with a burden for the lost and the backslidden. I've made many new friends. It has been awesome ministering with them. It is so good to see the body functioning in unity. Nobody among us even asks about denominational affiliation, we simply love each other and the people that we're here to serve. It is tiring but refreshing. People come to party but many are touched by God through His people. We're not religious about it, just real and the people are suprisingly receptive.
