I have a question, because I don't share the pacifist views of a lot of Christians.
Here's my question:
How far would you go to stop someone evil, or an evil force? Just to make it easier, if you were alive in WW2, with your current views, thoughts, etc, what attempts (if any) would you have taken towards Hitler.
This could include anything from becoming a soldier, helping the military, or some DIRECT form of action.

no actions but follow what my government says.
the bible never says that we should try to be heroes.

So you'd just let them do whatever they want?

Although it might sound like a pacifist's answer,,, the best direct action is prayer.
What did you have in mind?

I know what I'd do... but obviously I'm not a pacifist.
Either join the army; mess around with his organisation; or assassinate him.

In this day of wrath I will use the Elijah way, bringing fire down on the perpetrators head from heaven. Then when my ministry is finished and my service for the Lord in this time is fulfilled. I will lay down my life just as the Lord did and just as He has required. Because the flesh profits nothing. It is the Spirit of God who gives Life.
The Hitler saga played out the way that it was prepared. Including all intervention by all principalities and powers.
The Lord rolls up yesterday behind you like a scroll. Only the Spirits of yesterday impact today and what you do with them now.
Turn it all over to the Lord and trust in Him with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Then you will do well.

I would do like Joshua and David, I would defeat the enemies of my Lord.

Hebrews 11: 32-34;
32) And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Sampson, and of Jephthae, of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33) Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34) Quenched the violence of fire (think of the ovens of Auschwitz), escaped the edge of the sword (think the Battle of the Bulge), out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight (think Normandy), turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
The answer you seek is there, my brother. To not fight against evil is to aid it.
Your sister in Christ, Angela

I agree.
"Christians have a duty to oppose evil through direct action, anything short of that is to condone it" - Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
