"My brother-in law has cancer.He does not seem to be worried about his eternal home after death.In the beginning of his illness he was scared to die,however now he seems to have decided to reject Christ and says he knows he is dying soon.His family is puzzled as we are all Christians and can't imagine someone who has only a few days left to live rejecting Jesus so totally.I have cried for fear of eternal damnation of his soul..He must be in a cult . Any ideas that will help us understand him will be greatly appreciated.
1.He is very secretive and has not worked anywhere for years,althoigh he went somewhere every day!.He is very intelligent and educated. He has emptied his elderly mother ,uncle,and 93 year old aunt's bank account (part of which was her burial money)and his siblings inheritance.
2.He refused to probate his uncle's will,and gave no reason why.
3.He has aids and no insurance coverage,but refused to go and get free treatment which would have prolonged his life.
4.He has been sick since 2002 and didn't tell anyone in his family.When he finally shared with one of his brothers ,he lied and told him he was getting treatment and he wasn't.
5. He knew he had aids , refused to go to the nursing home,and allowed his mentally challenged,ill health sister to take care of him(he is bedridden)and then made a will while living in her house and left her out of it totally.(He has property and a house that was willed to him.)
6.He refuses to take any meds (morphine,anxiety meds ect)just tylenol.He refuses prayer ,and flips through the tv when we are praying for him.He says he is going to heaven!
7.He is a rude patient and demands clean ups and food on his schedule.
8.His family members seem to be afraid to cross him.
9.He will not share the monies that friends and family have given him with his major caretaker.He has nothing to show for the thousands of missing dollars.
10.He refuses to look at Christian tv and seems to have a nonchalant attitude toward God.The Hospice chaplain and nurse are worried about his sister because of his bad attitude and because she is so afraid he will die in her house.
11.His sister says he is into the Occult and astrology.
He maybe a sociopath ,but my gut tells me there is something more. I know you will only be making an educated guess,but he is a puzzle to us all.We plan to have a private funeral as we don't know what may turn up otherwise.God Bless you and thanks for your prayers.

I read your post here and tried to walk away and do somethings but my mind keeps coming back to your post.
Not sure but my first thought is he is wanting to die for some reason.
Google some of his beliefs on the internet and see what you come up with.
Above all pray for him without stoping. Get others to pray for him and have someone to be praying for him around the clock.
I know if it was someone here than I would hug the person and while hugging I would touch his head with Olive Oil. This is just me but I have found how much power there is in Olive Oil.
I will pray for him.

Well people can not do anything to bring him to Jesus. Like what is happening to my case. I keep telling my mum to stop praying to idols and stop the traditional ways. Every morning i get up and the whole day i tell her about Jesus and i talk about creation and many things. Today i told her power of Good and Bad. Why God gave us. Many people underestimate it. I told her to stop listening and following what people are doing. I also told her not to trust me but trust in lord Jesus. Only he can saves us. Then she keeps talking about how other Christians forcefully or deceiving other people to convert and how christians are going for war and killing people.

I told her they is no such thing has converting in Christians. Then i told her they are two type of Christians. 1. Liars Christian 2. True Christians. People can trick other people. They can not play games or tricks or be clever with Lord Jesus. He know us very well. He is watching us all the time.

I want to tell you more. To answer to your question

Your brother in law has lot of pride with him. Pride is from satan. God hates pride in people. The more the pride people has God relationship is less and less the light is with him and more darker.

If you can speak to him. Tell him to accept Jesus and ask Lord for forgiveness for the things he have done. If he says no they only thing you can do is Pray and read the bible.

He still has hopes and be saved until he is alive. If he does not accept when he is alive and when he is dead. None can save him. The time is over.

Show all the love to him, Be with him all the times. Read the bible in front of him and pray in front of him.

I am praying for him and for you.

There was someone on this forum who said he has delivered a person of Indian nationality by just laying his hands on his head and saying "Come out of him in Jesus' name". The guy was instantly delivered. Maybe someone here knows the post I am talking about.
This guy seems possessed.

I didnt read it here on the forum but I have seen thing with my own eyes before so I know it happens.

I believe in deliverance ,but don't feel led to lay hands on him when I pray. I don't even feel led to call out what ever the demonic force he has in him. I will google his beliefs .I feel like if I specifically know what demonic force it his I can bind it up in Jesus Name. I went over to see him the other day and I have not felt well since.Physically I mean.
I have no proff but I think he wants to remain alert so that he can cast spells and control others. I hope I am wrong.
I think he may want to die but is afraid to go.Someone suggested that he thinks that if he accepts Christ that he will die .Oh and he also wants heroic measures performed when he dies ,including being placed on a respirator. I am baffled. Thanks for the prayers. The future for him looks bleak.

He is scared of the unknown. We arent because we know about tomorrow but he doesnt. He is scared of death.
Somewhere in the Bible there is a place that said after a certain amount of time God will turn his back on someone. Maybe that has happen to him. Maybe God has tried and tried and now his heart has harden.

Kim, I have been thinking about when a person hardens their heart against the Lord. I wonder if when God has turned your heart over to a reprobate mind are you unable to except God even if you want to? Or if you are possesed do the demons control you so that you are blinded where the Things of God are concerned. I thank God for speaking to your heart so you can recognize the dire circimstances we are in.It is burdening me down, and I don't feel well.I am the only Spirit filled person in the family. Death of a love one is hard enough ,but a hardhearted afraid to die person is oh so pitiful. Read the vision he had when he was in the hospital last month.

My brother inlaw had a vision today. He is in the final stages of prostate cancer, and has double pneumonia.He is very sick. He has within the last two days started having bad dreams ,and not from the meds he refuses to take anything that will calm him down much.He is afraid to go to sleep. He dreamed that a nurse came in his room and removed his full facial oxygen mask(rebreather) because he was getting too much oxygen. She instructed him to keep it off until the very last minute and then put it back on quickly. (He isn't able to do anything quickly)When we hung the phone up tonight the nurse and his sister were trying frantically to get him to keep his mask on. This is errie as he is very sick and could easily smother without his mask. Amazingly he is quite alert mentally . Anyone have a word from the Lord as we are in need of a word from the Lord,and even if you don't please pray for Lawrence and our family.
