strongs is like if you want to get a feel for what a word is in greek or in hebrew.
this book is like:
example:
lets say your reading 1st Cor 1:11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of
Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
and youre like...who's Chloe or what is it?
So you look up Chloe in the bible dictionary at it is defined from scripture who Chloe possibly was. In this case it is a female, who was more likely a Christian.
This is a great tool because sometimes names or places can temporarily "stall" a study.
It's not a dicitonary in the sense of a Webster's.
As mentioned, thumb through it to get a feel of what kind of book it is.
