What is My best for you? What is it that I would have you do with your minutes and hours? I would have you happy and at peace. I would have your bodies healthy. I would have you in a place where you can hear My voice and fellowship with Me. Do you know that fellowshipping with the Lord God Almighty is a special privilege that He purchased for you? Do you know that I take delight in fellowshipping with you, hearing your voice, and speaking to you?
Ps 4:3-4 NKJV
But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly;
The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin.
Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.
1 Kings 19:11-13 NKJV
Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD."
And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains
and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind;
and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake;
and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire;
and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it,
that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave.
Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
OK Lord. I've quieted my heart, I've quieted my soul.
I've laid everything down that has taken its toll.
I give You my time to be still before You.
Please open my ears to hear something new.
I wait before You at this crossroads in life
A season has closed, I let go of my strife.
Be still oh my soul and wait before Him.
His small voice will surface as noise grows dim.
Surrounded in peace as I lay upon my bed
All cares are gone as I seek Him instead.
Come oh Dove, the One Whom I seek.
Whisper Your heart, please come and speak.
Your people are troubled in masses of care.
They need extra help to know You are there.
They want a Word for the season to come.
They desire assurance from Your kingdom.
I call upon You, my heavenly Source
It's not about them, it's about You, of course
So what do You have to say, this new day?
As I lay here before You, lingering to stay.
Your peace surrounds me as we become one.
I am received as You say well done.
Please let Your Words flow to my ears
As we commune together throughout our years.
Psalm 91:4 "He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark."
Cover but not smothered. A soft sleet is falling gently from the pre-dawn sky this morning. I turned by face upward. As the sleet softly fell upon my face, the Lord spoke these words to my heart for you: You have been in My presence many times. The pellets of sleet are a prophetic sign to you that My blessings have come upon you. But today, I am sending increase, a blanketing snow to cover you with my grace and mercy. The pellets will be underneath, but I want to give you more than just pellets. I want to cover you as a mother eagle covers her chicks with her wings. I want to draw you in close to the warmth of My body, My heart. Don't settle for the soft sleet when you have My glory cover you like a blanket of snow. Some earthly coverings, who seek you out, end up smothering you in the end. Not so with Me. Covered but not smothered.
Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
Take time to rest in My presence, says the Lord, and to seek Me for strength and peace. This will alleviate the pressure and strain generated by dealing with stressful situations. Refuse to be overwhelmed, but rather face one moment at a time in the strength of My wisdom and guidance. And, you will come through this in great victory.
The day is here and I am calling you to worship Me in Spirit and in Truth.
Delight in the works of My Holy Spirit.
Delight in the Spirit of Truth.
I will lead and guide you in all truth.
The truth is My beloved children that you need to worship Me.
I delight in your worship.
I delight in your praise.
I delight when I see your hands lifted up unto My Holy Name.
How I delight in the praises of My people.
How I delight to see you praising Me and abandoning your hearts to My
ways and My will.
Abandon your hearts in praise to Me.
I will take that complete abandonment and surrender and receive it
my children.
It is what I have been waiting for.
Release all of your heart to Me.
Lift up holy hands unto Me and surrender your inner most being to Me.
I would have you to lift up your hands as the evening sacrifice and I
would have you to praise Me when you put your feet on the floor in
the morning.
I would even have you to praise Me on you beds and I would be your last
thought at night and your first thought should be of Me in the morning.
I should be in your thoughts all the day long.
How I long to be all that you need.
Do you know that I am all that you need?
Truly, beloved, I am all that you need?
My children think they need so much of this world to sustain them and
make them happy.
The opposite is true beloved.
The less you have of the world the closer you will be to Me.
Draw closer to Me beloved.
Draw closer to Me precious ones.
I want all of you each moment of each day.
I desire your love and it is sweet to me like honey from the honeycomb.
Your love for me is sweetness.
You love for me is My delight.
Know that your praises are also My delight.
You beloved are My delight.
Know that you are My delight and that I delight in you.
Come to Me.
Know Me, My Beloved.
I am the sweetness you need in your life and the only love that will ever
satisfy and meet all of your needs.
Do not look for another to satisfy you.
You shall surely be disappointed.
Look to Me for your satisfaction.
Look to Me to be all that you need.
I would be the delight of your life.
I am the Rose of Sharon.
I am the Bright and the Morning Star.
I am your righteousness.
I am your treasure.
I am you one true love.
I am altogether lovely and there is truly none like Me.
Rejoice that I am again revealing this unto you.
Rejoice that I am sharing My love with you.
I am telling you My beloved that I am love.
I am love. Rejoice for I am your love.
Wonder at My love.
Ponder it.
Rest in it.
Tell of it.
It will keep you in the most difficult of times beloved.
My love will keep you until My Kingdom comes.
Nothing will keep you but the love of God in your heart.
I will be the first love in your life and it shall satisfy.
Allow Me to satisfy you and you shall not look to
anything else to satisfy.
I will quency your thirst. I will satisfy you. I will be all that you need.
Come beloved, come.
HEAR AND BE HEALED
Luke 5:15 “But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to HEAR, AND to BE HEALED by Him of their infirmities.”
Luke 6:17 “And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to HEAR him, AND to BE HEALED of their diseases.”
Notice in the two verses that the people want to be healed, but they do not want to hear anything-and people like that seldom get anything from God. So if you want to be healed, hear!
When we talk about Jesus’ ministry, people will say, “Yes, but that was Jesus, the Son of God.” While that may be true, in the context in which it is used is a half truth. Half truths will more times than not cause more harm than good. Granted it was Jesus ministering, and no one else could minister that way. Yet the Lord told us in John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Did Jesus make that statement? Of course He did. If we are to do the works that Jesus did, then would He not expect us to do them without the same Holy Spirit that He had and without the same Father? Certainly not. In John 14:10, Jesus said, “. . . the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” In other words, Jesus did not even claim to do the works Himself! He said His Father did the works. How did God do them? Well, Acts 10:38 tells us that “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
When Jesus came into this world, He stripped Himself of His mighty power and glory, the Word tells us, and He was born as a human being (Philippians 2:6, 7). That is the reason He could not heal anybody any more than any other human could. That is the reason that He never healed one person or performed one miracle during His first thirty years of life. It was only AFTER He was anointed by the Holy Spirit.
Of course, Jesus stands in a class by Himself, personally and as a Deity. But when it comes to ministry, Jesus does not stand in a class by Himself. We have not examined the Word of God close enough on this subject.
Because Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, the Holy Spirit would manifest Himself in Jesus’ ministry as the Holy Spirit willed, not as Jesus willed, even though Jesus was the Son of God!
Jesus ministered primarily as a prophet of the Old Covenant anointed by the Holy Spirit. If you recall, He called Himself a prophet in Luke 4:24: “And he said, verily I say unto you, no prophet is accepted in his own country.” Jesus stood not only in the office of prophet, but He stood in all of the fivefold ministry gifts: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher (see Ephesians 4).
The Greek word apostolos, where we get the English word apostle means “sent one.” Jesus certainly stands at the head of the list of sent one, would you not agree? Hebrews 3:1 calls Jesus an apostle: “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.”
Second, Jesus stood in the office of prophet. We established that according the Luke 4:24. He also stood in the office of evangelist. Notice Jesus said in Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. . .” That is the message of the evangelist!
Fourth, He stood in the office of pastor, for He said, “I am the good shepherd . . .” (John 10:11). Fifth, Jesus stood in the office of teacher. We know that be reading about His ministry in the four Gospels, because the words “teach” or “taught” are mentioned more than “preach” or “heal,” or any other words in connection with Jesus’ ministry. For instance, Matthew 9:35 states, “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, TEACHING in their synagogues, and PREACHING the gospel of the kingdom, and HEALING every sickness and every disease among the people.”
We can see that Jesus placed teaching first, preaching second, and healing last. Of course, many people want to reverse the order. They want to run into a meeting and have you heal them, but that is not how it happens.
Those that do not “hear” Him usually do not receive healing. The gospel of Mark says of Jesus’ ministry: “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them” (Mark 6:5).
Take note that it does not say He would not. It says He could not. Even though Jesus was the Son of God, and divine blood flowed through His veins, He ministered on the earth as a human, a prophet anointed with the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 9:35 states that “Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching.. .” What did He teach? We get a hint in Luke 4 which tells us He read from Isaiah.
Read if you will Luke 4:14-21. Jesus taught from the prophets. Back to Luke 5:15, the writer states, that great multitudes came to hear Jesus and be healed. Does hearing have anything to do with being healed! Definitely! Why did the folks in Nazareth not get healed except for a few? They would not hear!
Oftentimes, it is a combination of things. Some simply will not listen. Others are sitting right there, but what you say does not register.
Luke 6:17 tells us that a great multitude of people came “to hear him and to be healed of their diseases.”
Look closely at the next verse, “And they that were vexed with unclean spirits; and they were healed.” Somebody might say, “I thought you had to cast spirits out.” Sometimes you do, but not always. Those who were vexed with unclean spirits were healed. The same power that will heal people of sickness will deliver them of demons.
Read on in the next verse: “And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.”
Why did the multitude want to touch Jesus? They could not see power going out of Him. They saw the reactions. How did they know power went out of Jesus? Because of what they heard.
We learn something about the healing power of God: it is a tangible substance. One can be anointed with it as God wills. This healing power is transmittable by the touch, a cloth. But it is faith that give it action. Faith comes by hearing!
riotous – violent, disorderly, unruly, uncontrolled, uncontained, lawless, mutinous, rebellious, revolutionary, wild, hedonistic, intemperate, rowdy, immoderate, debauched.
hedonistic – self-indulgent, pleasure-seeking, self-gratifying
I want to talk to you, beloved, about riotous living. I want you to know My feelings on this type of living, this type of lifestyle. I am a holy and righteous God. I take delight in My beloved children. I take so much delight that I want the best for them, for you. I want you to know that riotous living is not My best for you. It is not even in My plan for you. It is foreign to Me, and I want it to be foreign to you.
Will you do Me a favor? Will you stop and think before you participate in some of the pastimes that the world has to offer? Will you stop and seek My heart on certain matters pertaining to this riotous lifestyle that some of you are choosing? If you will seek Me, you will know My heart on that matter and then you will be able to see things more clearly.
What is My best for you? What is it that I would have you do with your minutes and hours? I would have you happy and at peace. I would have your bodies healthy. I would have you in a place where you can hear My voice and fellowship with Me. Do you know that fellowshipping with the Lord God Almighty is a special privilege that He purchased for you? Do you know that I take delight in fellowshipping with you, hearing your voice, and speaking to you?
I am a holy God Who is after a holy people. I take delight in one who chooses to follow My course. I am able to bless one who follows My course. So hear Me today and follow the lead of My heart. I want you, dear one, to stop, think, and seek the face of your Lord before you step over that line from the holy to the riotous. I want you to know that as you choose to stay the course with Me, it will get easier for you to say no to the ways of the world. It will become second nature for you. That is what I want for you, dear child. I want My ways to become second nature to you. I want you standing firm in the knowledge of My love for you, and following My course no matter what the evil one puts in your path. Will you give it a try? Will you give following after Me, seeking My face on certain matters a try? If you will, beloved, you will have no regrets, but if you choose the enemy’s path you will be riddled with regrets – enough regrets to last for a lifetime!!!
