You can't stop people from disagreeing with you. There will be people like that EVERYWHERE!

Just look at Jesus! He was the most perfect human being, he never sinned, yet he was condemned injustly and crucified...

That's why I myself try to never accuse or judge anyone. I don't say I NEVER do it because I am still a sinner, still making mistakes and judgement errors. But I have learned to love others no matter what and ask God to bless them, even when I did not understand them.

In case you change your mind, please feel free to return here on this forum. We might not agree EVERY ONE with EACH OTHER, but to me you ALL are still family. (Look at our BLOOD siblings; we all have had at one point at least ONE disagreement...

What did Paul really mean when he said let the woman keep silent? Could he be referring to the "UNSAVED" woman who went to cause problems? Because if scripture tells us that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to ALL men and woman would the Lord truly keep the woman silent? What would be the point of given a woman a gift if she was to keep silent about it? A saved woman in right standing with her husband is operating according the will of God.

Though I do agree and always have when this kind of topic arises: I don't believe a woman should preach or place herself in a place where she has authority over her husband. To do so is to be out of order. What if her husband gave her permission to do so, would it then be okay? Still pondering that one and asking my husband....

If truth holds, you will see this post as "fluffy words"....But you don't see heart that laid it bare....You see first of all Kim48 and I don't really like one another, Miki and I are not that close, AngelainPraise I have spoken with once and don't really know her, and NoFool reminds me of my eldest son because he is into music and has produced it...So you see, I can look at each one of these people and say, I know they are saved, I can say I hold a measure of love for each one because they are my brother's and sisters in Christ, I can say the truth as I believe it and one of them may come in and say, "hog wash!" Storm, I am truly sorry for misreading the intent of your post...I had no right to try to defend myself to begin with, I know that already but failed to restraint myself....

I do appreciate the maturity displayed by some here. If you are a casual reader know that we're a family here of sorts, with a few blotches here and there, but we do love each other much and we learn from one another, just as in any family. When one of us misses the mark and offends as siblings are prone to do, we try to die to self and forgive. Scripture such as "Those who love the Lord, nothing shall offend them." correct and transform us from the wretched people that Jesus saved and is in the process of transforming. It can be painful at times, but that is for our perfecting. So don't mind our humanity, and grow with us.

Prayed over my decision this morning, only to get a very cryptic "Do what you think is best." Logic says stay here, but emotionally I feel like I stirred a hornet's nest speaking too soon without reading the entire original post on the thread in question. Instead of unregistering, I'm going to take a break. Forgiveness is not the question as I have already done so.
I think we all know the Bible has certain teachings in it which are uncomfortable. Nor do I like the reality of some of material in there, but who am I, a mere human, to tell God what is moral for Him to say or do? Another thing is context. For example, when the Book says "a woman shall not excersise authority over a man", it never seems to get asked in so many churches out there what context that should be taken in. If you follow that idea too far, somebody could argue that a little boy doesn't have to obey his mother! We all know that's patently absurd. Context is important in good exegesis. Otherwise the bible contradicts inself because Deborah was a judge, clearly a woman in a position of authority over many men. My boss is a female and I have no problem with that at all. Best employer I ever had, quite frankly. In church, though, the book says deacons should be a husband of one wife who has no unruly children (I get that right?). As I understand it so far, I can have a female boss, but my pastor has to be male, for whatever reason that may be. Truth reveals itself through reconciliation of these apparent paradoxes. Another example... new testement says "no difference between jew and greek, male and female, slave and free....", then you look in the Old Testement and see that male slaves commanded a higher price than female slaves. Contradiction? Hardly so. Lots of heavy lifting had to be done in those days. A group of male slaves could get the job done faster because they could haul larger loads at one time, saving the master time and money. Heavy, often dangerous grunt work was more in demand. That's economics, not sexism. In Paul's case, he was talking about salvation. God saves all equally.

That should at least clarify where I am coming from, though I should have made this more clear much earlier. Chalk that up to another lesson learned. The comments and PM's here confirmed what decision I should make, so, I'll be back after taking a break. Take care, brothers and sisters. God bless.

If NoFool was agreeing with me, then obviously we were right about something. :0) The girls just do not know how to gracefully accept the ‘water witness’ position in the man (spirit witness), seed (blood witness) and woman (water witness) triune mystery set. You stand in the same position as the Holy Spirit in the Father (spirit), Son (blood) and Holy Spirit (water) triune mystery set. 1John 5:7-8. The womenfolk are the “helper” (Gen. 2:18-20) like the Holy Spirit is the “Helper” (John 16:7) serving the Father and the Son. The angels (spirit) and men (blood) are ‘one’ in the sense that the women (water) were deceived by Satan in God’s Infinite Realm where we are ‘gods’ (Ps 82:6, Jn 10:34). The men were deceived by the women (like Eve feed Adam the fruit), but the angels were deceived by nobody. That is why women wear a covering (veil) over their heads as a symbol of authority, “because of the angels” (1Cor. 11:10). Your covering symbolizes the First Veil leading into the Holy Place and the division of the Earth and Heaven above.

The Holy Spirit is not bellyaching about being placed in the ‘water witness’ (Perpetual Priest) position, even if the universe has an “anxious longing” (Romans 8:19) to be “set free from slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” Romans 8:21. Maybe the ladies moan and groan like Creation (water witness), because the physical realm serves Heaven (blood witness) and the Heavens (spirit witness) in the very same way. At the end of the day, man is still the ‘image and glory of God’ and woman is the ‘image of man’ (1Cor. 11:7) and we simply have to put up with some moaning. NoFool should take a little break and continue offering his views of God’s Living Word. 2Tim. 2:15. Israel is the Lord God’s chosen race (1Peter 2:9) and the apple of His eye to which the Law and promises were given (Romans 9:1-4). The Gentiles had no opportunity to debate Scripture, because the thirty nine Old Testament Books were written to somebody else (Israel). The Jews were occupied by Rome and lived under the sound of their trumpets and the constantly changing guard in Jesus’ day and to characterize the entire race as “most prideful and arrogant folks” of 2000 years ago misses the mark IMHO. The Romans were accustomed to crucifying Jews and doing things to God’s chosen race that was unlawful for Roman Citizens (Acts 16:38). The Jews had to bow to Roman authority even to crucify Christ, because “We are not permitted to put anyone to death” (John 18:31). Since the Romans leveled Jerusalem and the Temple, then my vote is that they represent the most prideful and arrogant folks in Jesus’ day.

We can agree that the enemy is inside the camp, but that is why we hash out our differences using Scripture. 2Tim. 2:15. Scripture says there “MUST be factions (sects/divisions) among us so those who ‘are approved’ may become evident among us.” 1Corinthians 11:19. Everyone should produce the Scriptural support for their dogma in all of these threads, so our readers can sit and judge everyone to see who ‘is’ approved VERSUS who represents the ‘servants of righteousness’ (2Cor. 11:15) serving their ‘angel of light’ (2Cor. 11:14). If anyone here cannot stand the heat of meaningful debate (Acts 15:2+7, etc.) on these Bible topics, then they should stay out of the kitchen IMHO. Scripture teaches the “Inequality Of The Sexes” from Genesis to Revelation and anyone working under the pretense of “Equality Of The Sexes” is setting themselves up to be offended apart from the assistance of anyone. We are all the body of Christ, worshipping Him, and following Him. We will all disagree with each other at times, yet we will continue to love each other through those disagreements. Has anyone here not disagreed with someone here at sometime? It is because we are unique individuals. In the body, the cellular structure of bone is not the same as muscle, nerve, or soft tissue, yet it all functions together. As we are the Body of Christ, we are similar in this respect. All are different and have different gifts and functions, yet we work together for Christ. When someone comes in trying to cause grief and dissent between us, the result is the same as in the physical body. A cancer erupts. The Body-body is no longer functioning as it should. I believe that our faith in Christ and our love for one another can overcome these things, sometimes easily, and sometimes with fortitude. What we should not do is give the instigator the satisfaction of causing us to quarrel. Satan seeks to divide us, and we need to stand firm and in one accord.

slam with or without scripture...intent to use the Word to slam
is a strike in the face of the Lord...to correct or simply inquire of
each other, and inquire together of the Word is the sharpening of
our stones, one upon the other...

while seeking out scripture for the purpose of debate...let us first
seek out the Holy Spirit before Bible bashing each other...surrender
to that which is kind...truth does not need to bully for the truth will
be worked in by the Holy Spirit...and that inworking will be evident

Terral, my brother in Christ. Whether your statements are true and scripturally accurate is not the point of my post. You must look inward now. What good does this post truely serve. Is there a true spirit of glorifying the kingdom, or is it to magnifying ones self. The point has been made, the scripture quoted, and a divide created. Beyond this, there is only a self serving spirit. Tearing others down to build ones self up. We can not turn to a wolf pack mentality, and prey on those we see as injured or down just because we can.

Last night I was going to write to someone whom I have blocked out of my life who has recently been harassing a friend of mine. I wrote what I honestly believed about this person, but it was accusations against him because he was accusing me and those that I loved. Thankfully I showed it to my boyfriend who told me that I should remember this:

Romans 12:17- Don't return evil for evil.
Colossians 3:8- Avoid Anger, wrath, and malice.

I erased it because our Lord does not accuse us, only Satan does that. And Satan does not accuse us so that we will change our ways for the better, but to create tension and division, which usually lead to more sin. It's hard to distinguish, but we must.

Yes I have tried to avoid all of this debate, but Signet I had to respond to your post. Just wanted to tell you great words of wisdom! Sometimes it is not at all what is said but the way in which it is said. The words you have spoken reflect the heart of Christ! Thank you for your kindness and humilty!

Pam...you were right. I needed to take a break.

The devil has worked through men to abuse women for centuries. Not that it's the only thing he's done but for me, in the here and now, it proved to be my undoing. A mocking spirit masked behind juggled scripture threw me over the edge of restraint.

Have l been "rude" for sometime now? I don't think so but if l have it hasn't been with evil intent .... I'm frank sometimes because l don't know how else to do it. My heart is on my sleeve most of the time. Maybe the word is rude...I don't know.

I've been on the forum a long time and watched ideas and people come and go. It's been trying at times because my heart is here and devoted to the task at hand. I've offended some of you for speaking the truth. I've offended some because l don't know how to word things as politely as l should? Remind you of anyone?

I probably won't be posting as much.

As l've looked back over the many words and thoughts on this forum for the last several years it's plain to see that what's coming has been said... over and over again. How many times does it have to be repeated?

I felt a need to post here as the enemy wants to use this in my life and others. Most of you are near and dear to my heart. Especially Shekel. Val...thanks for coming to the table. Linda, you know l love you. Larry you're endearing! You've had a lot to offer me and l've received it. Some of you may not like to hear that but to bad. Julie...keep on! God is chipping away at all of our stony places. It's pretty exciting.

What about me? Have l been wrong..Probably in ways l don't understand and know. One that stands out is the ability to hear and know what the enemy is saying at times. This is disturbing to me...Also revealing.
I don't want to elaborate to much because l see even as l attempt to go there the enemy would like to speak.

Get a grip no fool... Much will be required of you if you intend to stay the course. Maybe it won't be here but were ever you go you will have to turn the other cheek and make a decision to love. If you don't the enemy will use it. But then who am l but just a dumb women...oops...there l go again.

It is good to hear from you Miki! I have thought about you several times in the past few days, praying that all would be worked out and that you would be back. We love you Miki and it would not be home without

you! I am reminded of the dream you had months ago about the table. Its all those little pieces that get thrown on the table. I have gleaned so much by all the yummy carrots and peas that you have thrown on the table. Relationships are hard we know that the Lord never said that it would be easy. We are all unique and gifted in different ways. I know that I am an extremely sensitive person. I do not apolgize for this because this is the way that the Lord made me. I have struggled over the years to try and find a balance. I must admit it is a daily chore to keep the feelings in check. Miki we love you to pieces and to be quite honest I wish I had more of your guts! I admire the the way that you stand up for what you believe. I know that you struggle in your own little corner just like the rest of us. I just pray that your not posting as much on the forum is the Lords decision. Do not let satan get any victory here. Your words are valuable and needed. I pray that the Lord's will be done in all of this.

Not that this is the same - but just my own personal experience, I have found it necessary, as of late, to take up the promise that Jesus makes to us - that whatever we ask the Father in Jesus' name - that He will do... I have found it necesary to ask for protection in hearing His voice - because the adversary makes many attempts to intrude with a voice that is ever so close - but just a little off.

I can be as you described yourself and when I find myself being well, rude, it is a sign for me to pull back and rest...We can correct, rebuke and teach using the Word as we ought, but when we get off in the side lines of being mean we are out of order...That is the plain and simple truth...
I am a tow the line truth speaker as well, and people don't like me much for it either...It was plain evident a few moon months back and humorous as well...But anyway, tow the line girl...Your good to go...
