Full Version: God's Promises

I saw the movie "The Nativity" tonight. During the course of the trip from Nazareth to Bethlehem in the movie, where Joseph was taking Mary up to attend the census, being with child and near the end of her term....

The Lord began ministering to me about His promises...There can be no better example than this one for the birthing of a promise of God in our lives. We are given a word and we become pregnant with expectation of it's fulfillment. The Holy Spirit will overshadow us and form in our being a holy thing which must be brought forth by a process of both time and of a walking out in the natural that which originated in the Spirit. It is in putting feet to our faith that we move affirmatively, yet slowly and even painfully to the place where it is brought forth. But even as with Mary, being told she would be the mother of One who would save mankind...from the lowest of men to the highest of kings...we are called to attend the place of birth and the trip will not be an easy one. Even family will doubt you and suspect that you have been unfaithful in you quest.

Even Mary and Joseph headed into hardship in making the journey to the place of blessing. But Satan will try and thwart the plan of God to bless you. But any promise of blessing from God will have inherent within it a promise of further blessing to men. When you arrive at the appointed place and time, the blessing will be born in a lowly estate and only a few will acknowledge it. Gold, frankincense and myrrh will be offered as an ointment of sweet smelling savour unto God. The promise of God will come forth from the smallest and most humble of beginnings and that which began as a word in the Spirit and by angelic ministration will at last have that manifestation which will grow up as a tender plant and as a root out of the dry ground.

Like as not, the attempt of Satan to destroy the promise will cause you to go down into Egypt, even back to a place where you were once in bondage. You may sojourn there until that which would seek it's death is itself dead.

Is anybody with me?

And She Brought Forth Her Firstborn Son

My beloved people I would say unto you today, it is time, time to once again meditate on the miracle of My birth so long ago in that lowly stable in Bethlehem. I was born in a stable because there was no room in the Inn for my parents. When I was born I was lain in a manger with the sheep around me. My Father put a star in the eastern sky to guide the wise men who came to offer gifts of gold, frankincense and mirrh.

The shepherds who were watching their sheep in the fields heard of My birth and came to worship Me.

O, My people, seek out the Scriptures pertaining to My birth and meditate on them. Refresh your memory by reading the accounts of the events of that day. Of My mother....

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:6,7)

Of the shepherds tending their sheep...

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidingd of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord. (Like 2:11)

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men." So it was when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. (Luke 2:13-15)

And the shepherds came to Bethlehem and found me lying in the manger and 'they made widely known the saying concerning My birth.'

My precious people, I would urge you this Christmas to keep your mind stayed on the real meaning of Christmas and not be caught up with the materialism of the world. Of course you need to make preparation for fellowship with family and gifts for loved ones but in your daily quiet time with Me concentrate on the stories of that first Christmas when I was born.

Even with the world in chaos I shall be with you, guiding your thoughts, your words and your actions. This is a time to consider the poor in your midst, those who would not have much at Christmas and share your plenty with them. Think of the children who will not be receiving gifts this Christmas and do what you can to share with them. You cannot imagine the joy you will feel in being able to bring joy to them.

O, My people, draw ever closer to Me as the new year dawns. Determine in your heart to embark on a new beginning in your Christian walk with Me. Seek Me with all your heart and I shall be found.

Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. (Isa. 55:6)

And now, My people, go forth and partake of the joys of this Christmas season. Do not allow busyness to overcome but rather enjoy the activities of the season that honor Me...the musical presentations, the special services at your church and all the special events. If you begin to feel oppressed just bring your needs unto Me and I shall raise you up into the glory of the season and you shall rejoice

You may have been touched by a big budget yet heart felt movie production but, I watched Nestor, the Long Eared Donkey last night. Silly me, 30 something, no kids, watching animation. It was about a long earred donkey that thought he wouldn't be worth anything but in the end he discovers God made him just to carry pregnant Mary to Bethlehem. To me, the story, goes right along with the teachings of Christ...for the king called all those who were not worthy, the poor and the lame...and all those who been thrown away by the rest of the world...the humble will be exalted, and the exalted made low...

Remember too, the animals...for besides Mary and Joseph there were no witnesses to Jesus's birth except the lowly animals

It doesn't matter what one likes, for the devil "is" in the details...He was in the details with Jesus also...Jesus Himself told us a powerful "much more" of scripture...how little do we regard and anticipate it?

Mat 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more [shall they call] them of his household? Mat 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. Mat 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, [that] speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, [that] preach ye upon the housetops.

yes and me too, I would love to give him a kick in the but! laurel

I know you meant to write "butt" here (as in derriere) but you are one of the tremendous folks with whom the Lord speaks prophetically in your typos...For when it comes to believing God over the devil, you always have to be ready to kick the devil in the "but."

God is with the poor more than He is with kings. He does speak through a braying a$$ at times also. Especially if one is a mad prophet...

2Pe 2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb a$$ speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
