I'm not sure if this is where I should post this as I am so unsure of what i t is. I am feeling worried and don't know why.
For the last month or so I keep seeing the numbers 11:11 everywhere.
When I look at the clock the time is 11:11 . It is so strange and each time it happens I get the feeling that it is for some reason.
This has happened about 4 times now, and it happened again tonight. I turned over to see what time it was and it was 11:11 AGAIN.
I got up and read Isiah 11:11and Rev.11:11. Why I do not know.
I would really appreciate any imput from you all as I feel agitated and strange about it. I don't know if it is a bible verse, a day, Aspecific time or what. Please pray about this for me . I have but don't seem to be able to work it out.
If this is a date which I tend to lean towards, its the 11th November. That has already passed so is it 11th november 2007??????????????
Is our Lord coming in the New Year? I pray so.

'The Celestine Prophesy' and the follow-up 'The Tenth Insight,' I believe, try to explain what that is. Not exactly what 11:11 means, but you can say that they are trying to explain the same thing to people who are in different areas in their fields of vision. What I am saying is, there are many ways to say the same thing. The bible tells you that. The signs are not in the bible; they are in the 'great light.' Whatever your 'great light' is. Whatever rules your day and whatever 'lesser light' rules your night. If you are controlled, 'ruled,' by the clock during the day, signs will be given by the clock. Many people now notice this 11:11 when they look at a clock. Two times a day. The bible says, 'Do your work while it is day so you can see.' Those who are not 'ruled' by the clock may be 'ruled,' and I am using the word 'ruled' in this case to mean 'major interest,' by reading books, education, labor, using your hands, or whatever it may be, are given the same message through whatever they are doing. And that message is, 'Continue doing what you are doing.'

The mind is a very powerful thing and can create mountains from molehills very easily indeed. The number 11 happens to be the number of perdition, but most Christians do not understand or even know what that means. The reason people spend so much money on psychiatrists and psychologists is because they set themselves up by asking the wrong questions. Our self-analysis generally pertains to the ‘affect’ side of the equation with little or no regard for the ‘cause’ coefficient. My experience over the years is that we fall into these seeming dramatic and obsessive behavioral periods to force ourselves into seeking answers about something, when actually trying to wake ourselves up about something else. In other words, your subconscious is likely trying to make you aware of something totally unrelated to the number 11:11, but this temporary condition will subside in the time that your higher self feels you are heading off (or returning) in the right direction.
Of course, without having the opportunity to sit you down and read your body language with data about your reactions to particular questions about various related topics, then my makeshift reply is nothing more than speculation from helping others in the past in similar situations. The key for success is to realize that changing a behavior pattern takes a minimum of 14 weeks and we replace bad behavior patterns by adopting new ones. In other words, when you feel caught in the cycle of the current behavior pattern, then treat those things like a stranger and give them no light from your mind’s eye. Sometimes people begin having these periods of obsessing over things, because they have retired from careers or turned the page on a major part of their life. These obsessions become the ‘new’ set of behavior patterns that inadvertently replace the old ones without our even taking notice, as we become the victims of an overly active mind trying to fill in all the down time. My best general advice for someone in your situation where these variables are present is to start something brand new. That can be anything from taking a walk every morning and evening to taking up a new hobby or involving yourself more with a group who can benefit from your past experiences. The new behavior patterns dismiss the old ones and the joy filling your heart from helping others is the cure for the obsessive behavior that probably originated from too much inwardly obsessing in the first place. I've heard about this 11:11 phenomenon alot recently. There's even a movie about it. It's New Age hocus pocus. I don't know if you are aware of some things going around the internet about it, but the gist is that it has to do with some collective consciousness "awakening". When people point this 11:11 thing out, suddenly we start to take notice of it on a subconscious level, because it's an idea that has been planted in your mind to look for it. I wouldn't worry too much about it, Tilly.
I also notice 11:11 alot, as well as 9:11, and a few other numbers. It's just a subconscious recognition thing going on. We all have a mental clock in our minds and it's possible your mental clock tells you to look at the digital clock at that time. I don't think it means much beyond a subconsciously triggered reflex. Stick with God's written word as it relates to current events and don't worry too much about arbitrarily ambiguous signs. New Agers want to take your mind off of Christ's words so you'll start believing their "christ-consciousness" tomfoolery. That's not to say I believe you would fall for it, I'm just trying to explain my perspective from my experience on the matter.

Your feeling of worry is probably a good sign that the Holy Spirit is warning you about where this "phenomenon" originates. There's no way you can figure out what 11:11 means because frankly it's just an arbitrary number and probably a bad omen of spiritual wickedness that is tickling many people's ears.

My reply is only one possibility of many that can explain the kind of obsessive compulsive behavior described in your opening post. I can very well be dead wrong, but your request for assistance includes a minimal amount of information. You are the one asking for help. Right? You should expect to receive a wide range of answers from members with a spectrum of experiences. The best response from a person in your situation is to thank everyone for responding while treating their answers like eating fish. Eat the meat and throw away the bones. Every twelve hours or so? So, one with a true relationship with the Lord runs to read Isiah 11:11 and Rev. 11:11 at 11:11 at night? That is all of the facts in this case and we are supposed to make heads or tails out of that. BTW, your reply is that of someone I am describing in my original post. Denial has a lot to do with that and finding fault with others rather than taking responsibility for your own feelings and behavior. Now I am the one with the problem. There are thirty one books in Scripture with 11 chapters and 11 verses but only ten in the New Testament. Maybe one of these fits the situation:

I will praise my Lord for the warnings that He has given me. (The worried uncomfortable feelings) and continue to praise Him.
This is the first time I have ever heard of people getting these numbers. 11:11.
I looked on the net and was absolutely astounded at the amount of people who interpret these same numbers.
I feel much more at rest knowing that God is in control and I have no need to think or ponder on these numbers any more.

You are a walking 11. Somebody said 11 is the number of perdition. That is not very helpful. Does that mean that when you look at a clock and see 11:11, you are a devil in perdition. There are a lot of combinations of numbers that add up to 11. When a mathematician looks at a clock and sees 11:11, he or she might think 6+5:7+4 or 3+8:9+2 or 10+1:11+0. I guess that is what a new age mathematician sees when they think of numbers. I say you are a walking 11 because your body has a pH level of 7.4, pure water has a pH level of 3.8, plants have a pH level of 6.5. The pH level is how much acid is in whatever. That's my contribution to the meaning of 11:11. It probably means you are in the right place.

Oh My. Its been a couple of months since starting this post and after many wonderful replies decided to not allow these numbers to bother me but to place all things in God .
But they are still happening actually more often. Nearly everyday. I ignored it for awhile but it just seems to be more often. I have asked God as to what this means knowing that he is a faithful God and will reveal what it means, to me.
But it is happening so often now that its hard to ignore. I happen to look to see what time it is and so often it is 11:11. Very odd.
Am I in danger here. I just do not know.
I would love to hear what you think. I am not worried as I know that I am safe in Christ but I would like to understand what is happening.

Looking at the eleventh hour - it signifies 2 different things in particular - the Day of Remembrance, for those fallen in battle, we stop at 11 am.
