My sis in law sent me this: Early this morning (Monday) we received a phone call from Indianapolis telling us that Sister Urshan was in a head on collision and is in very critical condition. She has a ruptured aorta (which is the major problem, but her blood pressure is so low that they cannot operate) as well as broken arms, legs, ankles, and multiple fractures, with some of them the bones are protruding from her skin. As I write to you, she is in surgery, where they are endeavoring to work on the places where the bones are protruding from her skin because of possible infection.
Brother and Sister Mooney were with Sister Urshan all night, in fact Brother Mooney was present when Sister Urshan was cut (top and door) from her car and life flighted to the hospital. He said that Sister Urshan spoke with him at the scene of the accident and in the helicopter but because of her intense pain, was given pain medication and was unable to talk after that.
