Full Version: Dreams Of Neice Dying A Horrible Death

I had a dream a few nights ago that my niece died in a school fire. She got locked in the school because she went back inside to grab her favorite CD's. (They did this when I was in school during a fire drill. They would close the hallway doors to contain a possible fire. Of course, they weren't locked but whatever.)

My dream basically contained a lot of me screaming... I was mad at myself because I didn't witness enough and I didn't know is she was over the age of accountability (she's 13). I was mad at my dad for buying her the CD's which were of vulgar rap artists. (She actually has CD's that my dad bought her that are of vulgar rap artists.)

I had a dream a few months back where she drowned in the river near my home. In it, she was being bratty (and she is a huge brat in real life) and pressured me to go to the river for a swim.

Thanks for at least listening...

The school fire represents the fire of Hell. If she stays focused on this world, she will be lost to the fires of Hell. The water she drowned in probably represents the world and she is drowning in it. You are viewing her spiritual situation from a Christian perspective and this concern is reflected in the dreams. Even though she is annoying and bratty, worldly and uncaring, you and I know how much she would change for the better if she got saved.

I agree with Laurel. The screaming, I believe, has to do with crying out to the Lord on her behalf, and perhaps the frustration you're experiencing. Bind her feet to the path of righteousness and her mind to the mind of Christ and her will to His will.
Ask the Lord for her salvation; ask that the Holy Spirit would hover over her to prick her heart, to show her she is needful of a savior and to protect and keep her. Command the angels to go forth and cause laborers to cross her path, as they are ministering spirits sent here for those who would become heirs unto salvation.
Don't let her behavior change your mind, heart or sense of direction in the least. You never need to nag. Pray first, then simply show her the way to the cross.
Also, ask the Lord to dissolve any unhealthy relationships and break any soul ties that she has with people who are in her life that will only hinder her.

Wow, already 4 replies! Thanks so much!!!

Silly question: How do I fast? Eat nothing, only water? How do I do that when I live with a host family and classes (albeit God-centered classes...)

My niece went to church with me when I was home. We would even discuss some of the things that were talked about. Of course, I came to Oregon and left her in Kansas where I hear she's been in all sorts of trouble. I don't know if she goes to church at all anymore...

Whatever fast you feel you need to go on. The Daniel fast is a good way to start. First, do you feel you even need to do this. If so, then write down exactly what you want to get out of it, i.e; 'see my neice set free from...' fill in the blank. Make sense?
James says, 'you have not because you ask not...'
Ask!!!
Then make a demand on your covenant.
Make a demand that the Hand of the Lord would manifest itself with the deliverance of your niece.
Hope this helps.
Tim
