The prophecy of the destruction of Tyre seems close to the prophecy of the destruction of Babylon. Compare
Ezekiel Chapter 29 verses 27-36 and Revelation Chapter 18 verses 11-18. The major difference that seems to be the case is that Tyre goes under the sea and Babylon is destroyed by fire.
EZEKIEL
29 All the rowers and sailors of the sea will leave their ships. They will stand on the land 30 and cry in a loud voice of sorrow over you. They will throw dust on their heads and roll in ashes. 31 They will cut off their hair because of you, and dress themselves in cloth made from hair. They will cry over you with much sorrow in their soul. 32 In their crying they will sing a song of sorrow for you, saying, 'Who is like Tyre, destroyed and quiet in the sea? 33 When your good things went out on the sea, you pleased many nations. With all your riches and good things you made the kings of the earth rich.
REVELATION
17 For in one hour her riches are destroyed.' The captain of every ship and all who traveled on ships and all who worked on ships stood a long way back. 18 They cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'Has there ever been such a city as powerful as this one?' 19 They threw dirt on their heads. They cried out with much sorrow and said, 'It is bad! It is bad for the powerful city! She is the place where all those who owned ships on the sea became rich from all her riches. For in one hour everything is gone!'
ALSO THE PRINCE OF TYRE SEEMS LIKE AN ANTI-CHIRST FIGURE, WHILE THE KING OF TYRE IS AN ADAM FIGURE...A SYMBOL OF FALLEN MAN...IT IS PROPHESIED THAT HE GOES TO THE PIT, JUST LIKE THE BEAST WITH 7 HEADS AND TEN HORNS SHALL RISE AND GO TO THE PIT IN REVELATION 17:7.
The prophecy againist Tyre could also be a prophecy againist Babylon and the Beast ( the Beast represents a group of nations led by the anti-christ who thinks himself a god just like the king of tyre) ?
