Dream Regarding Preparation

The following is a dream I had November 20, 2006
It was nighttime, snow all around. The streets had slushy snow on them which I was walking across to wait for my school bus to pick me up. My little sister was with me and I said I had forgotten my shoes. She said she had too! So I looked and saw the bus was circling up the road to go down another street before it would get to our street. I thought this would give me enough time to get the shoes and get back before it made it to our house. I knew I had to hurry, though. My sister said she'd need a size 12. I ran into the house and up the stairs. I looked through my sister's closet and found small blue shoes, about 4 inches in length and a larger blue pair, which was about 8 inches in length. They were all open toed, so I pondered if that would be ok. Knowing I was running out of time I grabbed the larger ones. I somehow also had a pair for myself and was running down the stairs. While on the stairs, I could see the bus as the front door appeared to be open. The bus was pulled right up to the front door and a nice older gentleman smiled at me. I waved showing I was just about there and to please wait for me. Then when I was actually at the door it was closed so I opened it only to see the bus pulling up the street. My sister was on it but I was too late.
Interpretation:
The bus driver was the Lord who loves us, but does not show partiality. He is a Righteous Judge.
The first scripture that came to mind was the parable about the wise and foolish virgins, in Matthew 25. All went out to meet the Bridegroom, but only half were fully prepared. Those who were unprepared had enough intelligence to know they weren't ready but expected those who were prepared to likewise get them ready. If timing was off for anyone, the door would close, leaving behind those who were foolish enough to disregard the warnings to get ready as the Groom is coming!

"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him PURIFIES HIMSELF, just as He is pure." 1 John 3:2-3
"Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His wife has MADE HERSELF READY." Rev. 19:7
What I believe this dream is saying is that we are each responsible for preparing ourselves by being in God's Word, which is being in Him, John 1:1. We will then know how to "purify ourselves" as we apart from God and His Word are incapable of such, John 15:5. This is not for others to judge about us, but between us and our God, (while in my sister's closet I was studying the open toed shoes wondering if that was ok.) Apart from doing this all in the leading of the Holy Spirit and in His timing, we won't learn of the Lord and His grace to make us white as snow and will try to do it in our own works which are apart from His grace.
The next thing to learn from this dream, is that no matter how responsible we feel for our younger "siblings" in Christ, ultimately it is their decision to get themselves ready. We can not take on the responsibility to be their "Holy Ghost" as Jesus will take the responsibility to teach them, "Show me Your ways, O Lord; TEACH me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and TEACH me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day. Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He TEACHES sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice and the humble He TEACHES His way." Psalm 25: 4,5,8,9 (Sister's 1st shoe was 4" long-these four verses, beginning with verse 4 say four times that God is the one who is teaching us!)
"Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as SNOW." Isa. 1:18
Verse 7 of the above Psalm tells us He will not remember the sins of our youth according to His mercy, hence in the dream my little sister managed to still get on the bus even though she didn't have her shoes. I'm not saying we can be sloppy in our preparation and God will just wink at that and say it's ok, but the merciful Judge will decide for each what they were given and what they did with what they were given and decide righteously what should occur in each case. So for her, even though I didn't think she was properly prepared, verse 12 of that same Psalm, (shoe size for her was 12) was a perfect fit and she was to go on and learn even more:
"Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses." Psa. 25:12
The number 12 also symbolizes the illuminated word of God, discipleship, fruitfulness.
There are three groups of people I see in this dream: 1. Those who are in place to move when God says move, (represented by those already on the bus). 2. Those who aren't quite "ready" as we would think, but according to God's mercy, they are fine to move on, (represented by my sister who got on the bus anyway). 3. Those who are carrying a false sense of responsibility and are distracted. In doing the "good" thing they will miss the "God" thing, (represented by myself).
We are only to be vessels carrying Jesus not carrying the others as He is the one who carries them. We are to let Him anoint us to do what He wants us to do. We can not take on the burden of caring for these other people past what God is ordaining for us to do. We must pray for them and cast the care for them, trusting God that He started a good work in them and He will finish it. Whatever our part in that is, we are to do, but not go beyond the boundaries He has established for us in that work.
Only in Him, will we be ready for all the further teachings of Christ which are soon coming forth, as He is preparing to reveal even more of His nature, dispelling the religious ideas we've conceived. This impartation will be to those who will surrender to this work and just "go with it." Hence the school bus was picking up those who were ready to learn.
Father, I ask for Your anointing to teach us all things and Your wisdom to help do all You would have us, in Jesus' Name! Amen!
