Full Version: Hmmm - A Prayer I Did For Someone

I kinda figure this is the best place to put it....not in prophecy. I've been writing down prayers and then giving them to those who've requested prayer....or in the case of my husband - it wasn't requested. I did one for my friend J - she said it gave her chills. Hubby was at th enearby christian library - and the lovely lady who was on duty - of the olderly variety - said she'd had 8 teeth out so she could get falsies. She's lovely lady - totally wonderful. And I only know her from there - and our conversations haven't been huge - but some stuff she has revealed to me of her own experiences with God is just mind-blowing. So hubby says to her he'll get me to do a prayer....she didn't realise it was a written prayer - since that seems to be the only way I can do it.....I gave her the prayer yesterday and said to her if she wanted to talk to me about it - then get my phone number from my membership card. She phoned yesterday afternoon and said that it was wonderful - she feels her mouth is better already - I'm thinking she may be in her late 60's but I can't be sure - and I think she's of Russian descent - she has a very strong accent. She aalso said she 'knelt in submission to claim the healing' ! I nearly died! I wrote it down - yes - but it didn't come from me - there's no way I'd expect someone of her age to actually PHYSICALLY kneel - but she did! She said she knelt in the kitchen in front of the sink so she could pull herself back up - and is adamant that she does feel better already. So - obviously - that is her faith that is working there. But - here is the prayer - and it didn't turn out the way I'd intended at all.....my 'pen' took over!

A Prayer for Rena
25 November 2006

Dear Lord,
Be with me today as I write these words for your servant Rena.

Please Lord, hold Rena close and help her deal with any pain she may be feeling as her mouth heals. Rena is such a beautiful person and you know her heart is for You.

Lift her up Lord as you did before.

Let her spirit know that you feel her pain.

Let her heal quickly so she may continue speaking your Word Lord.

Rena, child of God, hold fast to our Saviour during your painful moments, for by Faith are we saved. Know that Jesus is with you every moment of every day. That the pain you feel He has already experienced one hundred fold, for it is by His Stripes and His pain we are Healed, healed by the Sacrifice of the Lamb of God.

Remember too, as we draw closer to the Church’s traditional celebration time of His physical birth that His promises are still in effect. He IS coming soon Rena and He will need your mouth to spread His Word to bring others into His fold.

You are a powerful child of God Rena and He blesses you every day. You know in your heart any pain you feel is nothing. That with His strength, His Love anything is possible.

You have felt His touch and heard His words. You have knelt in submission to His authority.

Kneel now, and be healed Rena. Use the pain as a reminder of His love for you.

In Jesus’ Holy Name
Amen.
Dani

Oh Mikkie, that is beautiful. A Prayer - a Blessing!

YEah - it is isn't it. I was trying to explain to a friend last night - that I start it - and sometimes finish it - the Amen bit - but sometimes what comes out in the middle - I don't know what it is until I'm writing it up neatly. I wish the words would come from my mouth more easily. But maybe this is how I'm meant to do it - who knows. Get the 'hang' of it first, before I 'have' to do it verbally....which I am not good at all at doing. Speaking - chatting, talking is fine - but when it comes to 'other' stuff - public speaking? Even praying out loud or in my head by myself - it just doesn't come out right - I even umm and ahh in my head!

Oh Mikkie,

I hear ya!

There have been a few times where I wish that I could share my prayer closet experience... cuz when the Spirit is involved it just gets so beautiful...

The public speaking, public prayers, or even just my verbal (voiced) prayers ... the words just seem so inadequate.

Madmikkie, you have a gift! Could you do a prayer for me? blush.gif

I need to wrap up my book and find a good publisher; since it's my first book, no known publisher is likely to accept my manuscript, so the only alternative is to self publish (they edit, copyright and print you as many copies as you are willing to pay for, then it's up to you to distribute to bookstores, supermarkets... (do your own marketing). Of course, I'd like the first option, because I don't have to pay them up front like self publishing (just don't have the money). laugh.gif

I will do what I can senteami - I have just 10 minutes ago severely pulled a muscle in my right shoulder trying to lift - no I WAS lifting - my 20kg toddler! My movement is somewhat restricted - it hurts! mellow.gif So once I can move my neck a bit more - and my shoulder - I will do so. I tjust might take longer than anticipated. I have to decide should I go to doctor - even sneezing hurts - or just try and get an appointment to the osteopath.

See comment made in my dream post. One of the things I have to do is slow down.....well - this is one way of getting me to stop stressing about the little things etc.....I'm focussing on Luxor - that is pushing the pain into the background a little bit.....doc appt this afternoon and osteopath - which will fix the problems in my back that have not reconciled from pregnancy number 2 mellow.gif ..... I don't lift things properly - I'm a lazy athlete - do everything the wrong way physically and can only get away with it for so long before things jam up. The irony of it is - I actually lifted my boy correctly! this time. blush.gif But the pain is a little nauseating.....I will re-focus when I can get my mind to settle a bit - it's still trying to work on hiding the pain bit. rolleyes.gif And senteami - as a frustrated writer - I know about the hassles of self-publishing....I can't afford it either!(LOL) So at least I know exactly what you need. Tell me more about your book - fiction/non-fiction??? Christian or secular??

First, apply some heat on your shoulder. If you have a heating source, that's good, a hair dryer should bring some relief. Keep your shoulder warm tonight as you go to bed! wub.gif

It's about the Bible and numbers!!! God gave it to me blush.gif (I had asked him to give me something to do; just a couple of weeks after being born again) and he did! I found the Internet link while browsing for the... Tomb of Esther! Now the movie about Esther (One Night with the King is out) and my book is finished.
They said it took 3 1/2 years to make the movie, and it took me 3 1/2 years to write the book!!!

It's about dates, times, like the Bible codes, but this time it shows that dates of major world events are placed within a divine order. It talks about the origins of religion (just brushing up; boy the book would not suffice if I had to extrapolate about it! rolleyes.gif

I've noticed that many subjects I bring up are enough to make more books! It's like a Russian doll, it's hollow wood in the shape of a doll, like a box; you open it and you find a smaller one in it, then you keep opening the smaller doll and you get a smaller one yet, until you get a tiny doll the size of a peanut! tongue.gif

Plus things and events have occurred in my life, that point out to numbers. This starts as early as MY MOM's birthday, and she was born in 1933... excl.gif

It's about end times and French, the language that reveals! cool.gif It's about the Rapture; but I don't date it; I just point out which signs point out to it!!! laugh.gif

is it in french or english or both....sounds fantabulous. My kinda book - I've read the Genesis code - and the Da Vinci code - great novels. And there's a write called Katherin Neville - hope I got the right author - she wrote a book called the 8 that goes into charlemagne, catherine the great, the knights of something - the ones that had something to do with the holy grail quest - those dudes who went on the crusades as a cover to get to the grail - and the elixir of youth etc....fascinating - and inter-relations between people - umm - and it's all based around the number 8 - even a chess move called the knight's tour and charlemagne's chess set. Fabulous. And there's another one of hers I still have - and another I don't - all interwoven with numbers and these mine bending cryptic messages and stuff - I cannot think straight atm.....2 hours b4 I go to the doctor - migh thave to take a painkiller fbefore hand. Even lost focus on luxor! And that is so mind-numbing.

I'm a reader! I've even been bored enough to read the back of a cereal packet! Osteopath isn't until tomorrow. And biblical 'mystery' and end times and all that sort of thing, and just plain mystery novels - thrillers with mystery - scientific hunting - like CSI and NCIS and Patricia Cornwall novels - just my kind of stuff.
