We got a call today and they told us our home would be open next week.
Our youngest child is 28 and here we go again. We are so happy that time is going so slow for us now. We want it now!! Cant hardly wait!
Today I was talking to my oldest daughter and she told me about a little girl that is 5 years old and her mother took her in to Humans Services and said I dont want her any more. She is up for adoption now.
When I here all these stories I want them all to come to my home but I know I cant.
We will do emerency care and then when a child is up for adoption and the childs wants, we will grab ahold and never let go.
I am asking for prayer for the Lord to send us a child he would want us to have. We will raise the child up it way of the Lord.
Every child that enters our home will hear about Christ and how he loved us so much he died for us.
Over 700 childern in our small state is up for adoption because they are no longer wanted.
God has put it upon our hearts to get one.

Oh, Kim, I'm so happy for you! Are you going to adopt or foster? Either is wonderful. I know that each child received in your home will be loved and will know Christ's love for them. wub.gif

Keep me posted,
Your sister in Christ, Angela

We will take any emerency but that will be only 72 hours. That means we will go to the hospitals and they will bring them here till they can find them a foster home within 72 hours. This will be the bad cases but that is ok.
We will adopt a child but it has to go through foster care first. The way it works is the child will be in your home and it usually takes about 6 months for the adoption to go through. During that time is the waiting period for the adoption. So we ask for only a child that is ready to be adopted to be place with us.
We have been on the web site tonight looking at all the childern ready to be adopted. They also have adoption picnics around the state where you can go to and get to know a child a little. Then you ask for vists with the child and it goes from there.
We can also have them come into our home through foster care. I think they told us in our county along there are over 70 childern wanting to be adopted.

Wow. It must be like waiting on pins and needles. I don't see why so many people who are willing to adopt babies won't adopt an older child, though. (They're already housebroken, ya' know? cool.gif Hee,hee, sorry about that.) But really, why can't more people be like you? If I was better off and had a committed husband (I'm not married), I would love to give an older child a home. I know many have burdens and problems, but how wonderful it would be to give even one child the opportunity of a real home. With God, and with love, no problem is to great.

Your sis, In Christ, Angela

Yes we choose an older child.
There was several in our class that wasnt married. I think out of 16 people there was four or five that wasnt married.
I am praying that God will send us the one he wants us to have because other wise I will be wanting all of the childern. HEEHEHEHEEE

Thank you so much. Please keep us in your prayers.
Yes we will get an older child to adopt. It feels like it is God plan for us because it is all coming together so easy and fast.
In our classes their were several minsters with their wives going through the classes with us. They are feeling same way we are to be reaching out to the next generation and saying yes there is a God for you.
One minster had already adopted several childern and he said even if the parents get their acts together and the child returns home, they will return with the knowledge of Christ. Most of the childern doesnt have a clue who Christ is. So each child that enters here will hear about our Savior. Then one child will want to stay with us for the rest of our lives and that child will see and hear about God love daily.
