Peace to all of you.

This is something i really do want to do. I came across this site, basically the atheist version of Christian-Forums, and they ask very stupid, also alot of easy questions that i think i could answer.
Tell me, would it be wrong for me to register on this atheist site, even though my intention is to witness to atheists?

How would it be wrong if in the end it might result in glory for God? I don't think its wrong...I think its right. This is a trick question isn't it? lol
Samuel
As-salaamu Alayqoum w Rahmutallah

No. It's not a trick question. It was a pretty stupid one i know. I can't remember why i thought it could be wrong. When i was looking on the site, i supposed that i kind of felt like i was betraying GOD.
I'll probably join the site soon, if they don't cut me off for being a Christian, and i'll be sure to put people on the site in the Prayer Requests section.

Shukran Jazila'aan!
Thankyou!

It is never wrong to minister to the lost. But there are pitfalls.

Mar 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Myself, I have learned that there is a determination and willingness to wrest the truth (on their part) which pretty much has a spirit of mockery to it. Atheists are people who are extremely strong willed and self confidant. They consider Christians weak slowbellied " wusses."

Ok to plant a seed, but do not expect instant results. I know occasionally there are converts to be made, but rarely. If you are very strong and able then wade in, but you have to have an extremely aware perspective of biblical truth. God will not back up any of our imagined truths, and Christians are often themselves unsure of certain issues. That is why debate reigns supreme in a context such as this forum. I would sit in a corner and ask God to show you many things first. You have years to go I assume. He once told me, "My son, do not go out ahead of me, for the way is rocky and the occasion to stumble is great."

If you want a taste of it log onto newsgroups alt.flame.jesus.christ. Ridicule, mayhem, blaspemies and the like await you.

HARAAM HARAAM HARAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, i know i'm supposed to be a Christian and i will get blasted for saying this, but when i read things like this i tend to fly into an uncontrolled rage! I DESPISE homosexuals, I DESPISE gays, if i see one (that i know is gay) walking on the same pathway as me, i cross the road to walk on the opposite side, or i go back the way i came. I cannot believe that the Jews are prostituting their Holy City, GOD'S HOLY CITY by making it a place where the infidels can promote their sub-human perversions.
It's events like these that remind me of when JESUS trashed the Temple because the people had defiled it by turning it into a marketplace and as JESUS called it, "a den of thieves."
It's also times like these when i admire the Arab world, because in their lands, homosexuality (sodomy), lesbianism, bisexuality, incest, necrophelia and bestiality (or some obscure name for intercourse with animals) and prostitution all carry the death penalty and, call me cruel, but i can't say that i disagree with such a punishment, i just hold such anger towards these people that sometimes i wonder if we would be better off as an Islamic State.
OK, i've vented my anger, and you're all free to lecture me if you want.

Samuel I do this to point out one thing....You have a person who believes in nothing...An antheist won't tell you that they don't believe in God...They just believe in nothing....
That sin is no different than being a homosexual...

What is the difference? Being angry at one sect of people but wanting reach out preach to another.....

MY POINT: Jesus reached out to ALL!

If GOD wishes to punish me ( laugh.gif ) by doing so, i suppose i'll just have to bite my tongue!
I admire as much as anyone JESUS' acceptance of all people, which is a quality that i could say i'm lacking quite a bit.

Is This Wrong?, Preaching over the Internet

Every person has the capability of an inner voice. When you read a book, that inner voice follows along and 'speaks' the words that you read. They might get stupid and come up with a braille internet for the blind, you know, like 'place your hands on the screen and feel the power!' Preachers on TV used to do that.
But, yeah. Deaf people need to have a written sermon to go by and what better thing than the internet. Maybe now they will come up with churches for the deaf where the preacher delivers his sermon in sign language or the preacher will be a large screen where you can read the sermon.
There would be no singing, nobody would hear it.
It's like. if nobody is in the forest when the tree falls, does it still make a noise?

Absolutely not! They are looking for answers just like we did before we became born again.
By the way... it takes MORE faith to believe there is no God than to believe in God! Because we have to dismiss ALL the signs God shows around us and give them a secular answer! ohmy.gif

So, go ahead!

LORD, please anoint Samuel to go and preach to this atheist forum. I believe you sent him there for a reason. I pray that you give him ALL the wisdom to answer ALL their questions correctly, concisely and shortly. Give him clarity of jugdement, and point to him the exact scripture that is needed in each and every situation. He is one of your hands and voice here on earth, LORD!

Thank you, LORD
In Jesus' name, I pray. wink.gif 1dsz5e4.gif 1dsz5h3.gif cool.gif

Samuel, NO, NO, NO, I am NOT upset with you at all!!!!!! wub.gif I was referring to the web site alt.flame.Jesus that Fervent gave. mad.gif No, I'm not upset at Fervent, either. blush.gif I was upset at what those who spit on us have to say about our beliefs in our Savior, Lord Jesus. Oh, how hard it is to pray for the enemies of Him!!! I find it easy to pray for MY enemies and those who would do evil to me, as Christ instructed us to, but I have real difficulty in praying for those who hate God and love satan.

I once was told of how the greatest deception satan could perpetrate in our world is that he, and therefore God, don't exist, so I look to atheists as being simply fools. These people downright hate God, and I don't handle that to well.

Thanks Senteami3 so much for your support.
At the moment i could say i'm suffering from a bit of procrastination, i don't know for what reason though, i suppose i'm just anxious about the reception i'd get if i do register. I suppose you could say i'm like the person on the edge of a diving board and delaying the plunge! I'm pretty sure that they don't have anything against Christians voiceing their opinions.

Also, AngelaNPraise i'm glad i didn't offend you, but if anything else on this website still has offended you then i offer my apologies anyway( wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif 1dsz5e4.gif 1dsz5e4.gif 1dsz5e4.gif )

Samuel, I hope your faith is strong, for there are many atheist arguments out there that appear to be quite convincing to those who have not studied all of the facts. Do not go wading into "battle" unarmed lest you put your own faith in danger for lack of knowledge. Please visit www.ex-atheist.com and www.tektonics.org. Arm yourself. These guys are pretty sneaky lol. They are not above using outright lies to discredit your faith. I do not debate atheists anymore because I have no tolerance for shaming language and insults. Remember: Have a thick skin and be armed with knowledge before you even start. Hope this helps.

But for some reason i feel really rotten!

Have courage Samuel, and trust in the Lord. If anything it will give you wisdom in understanding the enemy that clouds the mind. The spirit of athiesm runs rampit with the spirit of vainity and self indulgence. These are the spirits that govern many people in the world, and all are afflicted to some degree. I myself have an aflliction with these spirits, but I resist them each day.

Don't doubt or feel guilty for it is the gateway for these spirits. And you can always retreat here if the athiest are giving you a rough time.

That depends. Have you preached the gospel to everyone in your immediate family? Co-workers? All of your friends? Their friends? The neighbors? Those around the block? In other words, have you first gone to those in your direct proximity where God has placed you? How about other Christian Boards where others might grow from your knowledge of Scripture? When you have gone to everyone where God has placed you, then head out to bear witness to the sons of Satan if you must. Why you would want to do that, I haven’t a clue!

The lonely straight guy who signs up to change the life of homosexuals on their Board is throwing time and effort after foolishness. How should we receive an atheist coming here to deny the God and His Only Begotten Son? If the atheists have enough sense to stay home, then why must those for whom Christ died learn from their example? You found this Board and so did I and so can any of Satan’s sons who have any inclination to see the Light. Going to any Discussion Board to herald our gospel is a great idea, but to single out the enemy and the sons of our adversary is every reason for you to feel rotten inside! Why not join an Arts and Crafts Discussion Board or an Auto Mechanic’s Board and lead someone to God yet to be numbered among the enemy? Please forgive, but your behavior here appears fool hearty to an old bible thumper like me. My two cents,

In Christ Jesus,

Terral, i can't say that i disagree with you. i was feeling pretty overconfident in myself, when i decided to try this. I do witness to my collegues, (my family/relatives are all already Christians (alhamdulilah!!!)).
But thankyou all for your patient words anyway. If i can't say anything to change these people, the most i could get out of it is a better understanding of the Bible, more restraint in what i say, and a better understanding of how to speak to these sorts of people in the distant/near future.

Good answer! cool.gif

Remember Samuel, if you don't feel up to it on a certain day, don't go and argue with them. Wait for the prompting of the Holy Spirit. smile.gif

And yes, guard your faith with all your might and all your strenght because it is about YOUR eternal future as well; it is a very serious matter. If you feel their arguments are getting more and more convincing, leave! 1dsz5h2.gif

I am not very good at witnessing in person to people. I haven't really been trained to do so, and I don't think everyone is equipped to do it or called to do it. There are different callings, such as teachers, evangelists, prophets, comforters, etc. (I can't remember the exact list right off hand, but has to do with the different spiritual gifts)

I think Paul put a limit on how many should be teachers.

Anyway, I spent quite a bit of time on a message board unrelated to religion and I got slaughtered by quoting bible verses to mainly an atheist (or otherwise "new age spiritual") audience, but maybe it wasn't my calling. Then again, I don't know if I reached anyone or not, only God knows. I did get a few positive responses and I think I got some people actually interested in digging deeper, but I also made a fool of myself by getting angry a few times and I'm afraid I might have turned as many away. It is very hard to keep your cool in situations like that, especially if you are not prepared, which I don't think I was, and I think I was overzealously doing it in the flesh, anyway (looking back). No one can be drawn except by the Holy Spirit anyway. If you do decide to go forward, make sure the Holy Spirit leads, and not the flesh.

that's my 3 cent deposit. Keep the change smile.gif

Miki
I'll keep the change! tongue.gif You are right. You can cause harm if the Spirit isn't leading you.

You have to understand the ways of the world. You have to enter in and eat dinner with them on their turf. Most don't really want to take the time to do it right. They want to thump and it's useless in most situations. You have to earn the right to speak...other wise it becomes an intellectual argument. You might win a few but like you mmddll, l'm not equipped to do this.
