I LOVE that story, Julie.
Many times satan has tried to pull his little tricks on me to try to make me doubt. All I have to do is look out the window and watch the wind blowing, or look at the stars that count as many as there are grains of sand, or look at the intricate pattern of a bird's nest, the sweet scent of hay or grass, or (as Don said) see a magnificent rainbow to be able to tell him he is a liar and to get behind me in the Holy Name of my Savior.
My avatar picture is a bloom from a plant that my husband gave me on our first wedding anniversary. An anniversary that almost never happened until our Lord intervened and showed us His truth. That "woman at the well" bloom is a reminder of His loving Grace and Redemption.
Tim and I like to be sarcastic when we witness the awesome beauty and miracles of our Father's creation. When we read that birds will pick up a certain bug to rub under their wings because they have a toxin that kills lice (how does that bird know that?), or when we heard that every single element found in the earth is also found in the human body, we just laugh and say, "oh my, what a couple of rocks banging together, and causing life from non-life, can create"!
We just pray that the evolution theorists would wake up, take a serious look around them, and admit that there is nothing short of a miracle before their very eyes.
We know people who need "proof". I just ask them..."can you see gravity?" No, but you know it exists because your feet are sticking to the ground. "Can you see the wind?" No, but you know it exists because you can feel it blowing and see the leaves and grass and wheat moving because of it. "Can you see oxygen?" No, but you know it is real because you are still alive from breathing it. Why do you deny physical proof of our Creator when it is right in front of your face? He gives us more TANGIBLE, SEE-ABLE proof than the scientists do and that is still not enough.

Much love in Y'shua,
Angie

I like to be sarcastic too. I have a friend from an old job who I really love and care about. He is an older man that is the sole athiest in a very Christian family- his son is a pastor, sisters are missionaries, mother was very devout. Anyway, at first, I tried to debate with him- but that didn't do any good. It only stressed me out- and he loved the fight (he'd gotten very good at it over the years I am sure). He is a nature lover- has a big farm, lots of land, cats, geese, etc., grows his own apples and tomatoes. He just loves the outdoors! But- he still sticks to religion of evolution like a life preserver. One time, we went on a field trip (I was a teacher). We went to one of those IMAX shows- where you wear the 3-D glasses and everything looks GIGANTIC. Well, the title of the movie was
BUGS. It was amazing. We could see all the little details of tiny little bugs- the individual markings on a butterfly, the delicate clear wings of a dragonfly. It was really marvelous. I was sitting in my seat PRAISING GOD amazed and the shear VOLUME and CREATIVITY of the Creator's work. My athiest friend was sitting beside me. I couldn't help myself- suddenly I bursted out in a loud wisper (I was in a movie theater), "OH yeah! These bugs are all prime examples of slime and time! Slime and time."

He KNEW my point- because everyone in the theater was just in awe of how wonderfully and fearfully made even tiny insects are.
It must be just wonderful to have a partner that loves the Lord like you do... that rebukes, prays, reads the Word. What a blessing for you two. My husband will get there. I can't wait!!!
I'm just falling in love with you, my dear.
