Adrian Rogers said on Christian radio today:

Ruth (the Church) was a Moabitess. Moab was under the curse of God; Moab had behaved badly and had rejected God. Ruth had nothing to offer any-one. She was gleaning behind the harvesters, on Boaz's land (by chance), saving the scraps of grain, like a scavenger/the poor. She was not pursuing/looking for Boaz (the Kinsman-Redeemer, the Christ).

But, when Boaz saw Ruth, he loved her, and began to pursue her, and he gave gifts to Ruth. Boaz pursued Ruth, and Ruth had nothing to offer him. Boaz praised Ruth for her wisdom.

Ruth was a stranger in the field of Boaz, and soon, she owned the field (as the wife of Boaz).

Boaz told Ruth "Come and Dine, with my family and I. Eat of my bread, and drink of my water, and harvest in my field. Take my bread home with you, at no cost to you. I will provide for your protection. I will marry you, even though you're an alien, a stranger, a Moabitess. I have no obligation to help you, but I love you, and I will marry you. I give you the best of my riches. I am rich, and all that I have is yours. You are/were a Moabitess (a doomed, un-worthy pagan), but you are now counted as the Queen of the King in the household of the Chosen People. You were under the curse from God, but now, you are the Bride of Christ. "

What a beautiful picture of Christ and the Church!
I love this stuff.

I too love this stuff Dennis.....

I recently read the book of Song of Solomon with the mind of the woman being the church and the man being Jesus....... It too was beautiful. The brides image of herself was dark and unflattering.... but all the groom saw........ was beauty.

Thanks, Miche

Jesus was (and is) fully God, and 100% man. He is both. I'm fully man, but I'm NOT even 1% God.
The Heavenly Father is 100% God, but not even 1% man.

Why did God's Son (Jesus, God) become a man ( a God-man)?

He wanted to become one of us, so that, He could lay down His life for us. His death was a substitute for our death. How could one Death substitute for many deaths? His Life was valuable (NOT sinful). My life is (or was) worthless (ruined by sin). So, His Death can purchase an infinite number of worthless lives.

A bull can substitute for a bull. A man can substitute for a man. But, a bull cannot substitute for a man.

When Jesus became a man, He could call us his brothers. Because He is our race, the Bridegroom could marry the Bride. He could understand our situation, because He is one of us. He's walked the same road that we have. He's suffered thirst, hunger, cold, heat, trials, tribulations as we have. He showed His Love for us, when He chose to become one of us. He condescended to our low level, when He became one of us. He is our species, our race.

Jesus is our Kinsman-Redeemer. He is kin to us. He chose to become a blood relative to our family. And, to be our Kinsman-Redeemer, He must be blood kin. He rescued us from poverty, debts, and criminal charges against us.

Praise the Lord.

God is 100% man?
How deceived you are Dennis???? The devil has been trying to separate the woman and men from the beginning of time.
Read this and tell me your interpretation then???
Genesis 26:
And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness; and let THEM have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

NOTICE: US, OUR, THEM

My heart is saddened by your denial to recognize women in God's image.

Genesis 1:26 The Amplified Bible

God said , Let Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have complete authority over the fish........

I don't know what your post means. I don't understand your question.

Mankind is both men and women

God is a Trinity. The word for God in this verse is a plural. God is one God in 3 persons. They (or He) is gender-less (God is Spirit, and is neither male nor female). But, since He put men in authority over women (and the husband over the wife, etc), then He presents Himself not as gender-less, but as a male person. It's easier for our poor little minds to handle this way.

Jesus was not born as a woman. He was born as a man. Men are no better than women, as far as I know. But, it's easier for us to handle if He presents Himself as a male authority figure. An accomadation to our little brains.

In Our image. I assume that this means:
He has free-will, and we do too.
He has emotions. we do too
He is esthetic (He appreciates beauty, logic, intelligence, humor, taste, smell, etc.). we do too
He is very interested in right and wrong, justice, love, fellowship, etc. We do too

Sometimes, I say man when I should have said mankind. Sorry.

God is Spirit (not male nor female). He presents Himself as a male, but, actually, He's gender-less. We will be gender-less in the resurrection. We will not marry each other in Heaven.

It is a beautiful picture of the church and love itself. Ruth was already SO much more than a pagan. Her genetics may have pegged her as that, but her gleaning was primarily for a widow who was not able. Boaz saw her of course because it was his field (the earth belongs to the Lord and He knows everyone who is in it). Please remember, though, Ruth was sent to lay at the feet of Boaz, and isn't that what we are required to do? Present ourselves at the feet of the Master and ask to be taken in by Him? He is always there for us, but by His own choice we have "will". The Lord is the beautiful hope of teh redeemer Boaz, we are the willing servant and how can they know except someone teach? Namoi was a wonderful mentor and companion, giving good advice to someone in a strange land with unfamiliar practices. (For those of you into the numbers, that's a 3. Or to go one step up -God the Father, Jesus the servant and the Spirit as our guide).

100% God and 100% "man". Would it work otherwise? He came to redeem man completely as I understand it. I, for one do not require perfect diction. If there is a question of motive, I shall ask. Until then, dear brother, you have the benefit of the doubt at least in my corner. No problem with authority, that is why we wear the veil.

There is wonderful story of a man and a boy who went walking and the boy disturbed an ant hill. He was distraught over causing the little creatures to run around trying to save their little ones who were not yet hatched. He asked, "Can't we help?" To which the man replied, "To help, we would have to become an ant ourselves."

************

I hadn't thought about "presenting ourselves at His feet, and asking Him to take us in".

Thanks!

****************

Some New Agers are into "spirit guides". Which are 'demons masquerading as E.T.s, Martians, spirits of re-incarnated people, animal spirits, alledged deities, etc.
These 'spirit guides' give advice, answers to personal questions, intelligence, healings, divination, etc.
Don't get involved at all! The NT and the OT forbids us to do such things.

But, I was reminded of *MY* "Spirit Guide". Which is the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit!
Trust in the Lord always, and acknowledge Him in all ways and times, trust not in your own understanding, and He will lead you and guide you.

Again, I'll find myself in Heaven, and have no idea how I got there. But, Jesus knows.
I hope and trust that Jesus knows the Way. Some of this stuff is a mystery to me.

DO YOU REALIZE WHAT TIME IT REALLY IS? by Jeanniene Lee «

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A WORD FOR YOU TODAY -- "DO YOU REALIZE WHAT TIME IT REALLY IS?" -- READ THIS PROPHETIC WORD FROM THE LORD!
Jeanniene Lee

DO YOU REALIZE WHAT TIME
IT REALLY IS?

"And when he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came
unto him privately, saying, Tell us when shall these things
be and WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGN OF THY
COMING, and of the end of the world?"
Matthew 24:3

When I woke up this morning the Holy Spirit asked me, "Do you realize what time it really is?" Beloved, I was reminded of what God asked me on September 1st -- "What time is it?"

Today is September 30th, the last day of the same month that He started off asking me WHAT TIME IS IT?

Beloved, apparently the Lord is trying to get something through to us. Yes, He is urgently trying to get us to realize THE TIME THAT IT IS! My mother always says, "Jesus said we would be able to discern THE TIME AND THE SEASON!"

As I shared in the September 1st devotional, as quick as I heard this question, answers began to roll up out of my spirit from that same voice. I heard the voice of the Lord, within my spirit, answer the question He had just asked me.

WHAT TIME IS IT?

IT IS TIME for my bride to arise and shine for her light has come and My glory has risen upon her and shall be seen upon her!

IT IS TIME for the first to be last and the last to be first!

IT IS TIME for prophetic fulfillment!

IT IS TIME for the wealth transfer to manifest throughout the earth!

IT IS TIME for treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places to be uncovered, unveiled and manifest for my children!

IT IS TIME for mass multitudes to be swept into my Kingdom -- out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light!

IT IS TIME for the heathen to say that I have done great things for you!

IT IS TIME for those who have sown in tears to reap in joy!

IT IS TIME for Me to make my name known to your adversaries!

IT IS TIME for those who know Me to do exploits!

IT IS THE SET TIME OF MY FAVOR UPON MY BRIDE!

Yes beloved, the KING OF KINGS is in the field waiting to shine His countenance upon you. Go out into the field and allow His glory to overshadow you. This is your time and this is your season. For such a time as this have you come to His kingdom. So, arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you and shall be seen upon you. Shout "Amen," Somebody!

The King of kings is waiting to grant you all you request so ask of Him. It is His good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. IT IS THE SET TIME OF FAVOR UPON THE BRIDE OF CHRIST!

REMEMBER, THE YEAR OF THE BRIDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Click to read that prophetic word NOW -- The Year Of The Brides!

THE YEAR OF THE BRIDES!"
by Bill C. Yount

theshofarhasblown@juno.com

As the threshold of the New Year is approaching, I heard wedding bells ringing throughout the earth at the striking of the midnight hour...

In the Spirit, I heard a huge order of "Bridal Veils" being called into the throne room of Heaven.

"Make that an extra large order," the command came from the Father of the Brides.

I sensed that not only was the Father excited over His own Son's wedding that would soon take place, but He was seemingly beside Himself for the joy of a multitude of long awaited "end-time" weddings that would take place upon the earth, just preceding the greatest wedding in the Universe.

"Get those six water pots out again and fill them with 'living' water! I've saved the very best wine for last, for these end-time weddings."

"BEGIN TO LIFT THE VEILS OF 'SINGLENESS' OFF OF THEIR FACES!"

I saw veils of "singleness" that had been covering many single men and women for years in spite of their desire to marry. These veils were actually covering them to protect and hide them from wrong relationships.

Many thought, "What is wrong with me? No one seems to notice me or seems to even look at me!" But I saw the wisdom of God hard at work to preserve these chosen ones for the person whom the Lord was preparing and keeping separate for them also.

I sensed the Father saying to their guardian angels, "Begin to lift the veils of 'singleness' off of their faces! It's time for them to see and be seen by the one whom I have ordained for them. I will continue to order their steps and 'stops' and cause their paths to cross as they faithfully continue serving me.

"As I sent an angel to direct the steps of Isaac's servant to find Rebekah for him, I am sending angels before them to guide them. In the everyday, ordinary walk of life they will begin to discover My surprise appointments with Divine contacts for the desires of their hearts."

EACH WEDDING BRINGS HEAVEN AND EARTH A LITTLE CLOSER

Veils were coming off of many "widows and widowers" as the Lord was proclaiming, "Your lonely days are coming to an end!"

I saw some divorce papers being shredded to pieces as some who had divorced each other were now making plans to renew their wedding vows and start over!

All of Heaven seemed to be ecstatic over earthly weddings. To them, each wedding brings heaven and earth a little closer, with the intent to portray the ultimate marriage that all creation awaits...the marriage supper of the Lamb!

An angelic conductor was about to move his baton for angel choirs to come in on Heaven's grand finale of -- "Here come the Brides!"

A WITNESS TO THE EARTH OF THE LOVE OF THE FATHER

These end-time marriages were being brought into the Kingdom to witness to the earth the love of the Father between a husband and a wife. This demonstration of God's love would be contagious and influence many in the earth to become the Bride to be -- whom the Father is preparing for His Son.

I sense a "Ruth and Boaz" anointing coming upon single men and women. A word to the Ruth's (single women) is: "Keep serving and gleaning unto the Lord where He is leading you...your Boaz is near!"

And a word to the Boaz's (single men): "Untie your shoe* laces...and prepare yourself to redeem your 'Ruth'"!

* In the days of Boaz concerning redeeming and purchasing, a man would pluck off his shoe, and give it to his neighbor. This was a testimony to confirm things in Israel.

The Call of Ruth, to Cry Out for the Redemption of Israel

If we know Jesus, and have embraced His heart; we know His heart suffers to be reunited with His love, Israel. I have been feeling a urgency in my spirit, that now is the time to cry out for her redemption. This cry in my heart, has been rekindled recently, through inspiration I have found in the story of Ruth. I was worshiping the Lord in song. Singing about laying my life at His feet. When the story of Ruth came alive to me. I sang the following words.

"Like Ruth, I come to you in my night.

I find You, laying there at rest.

I uncover Your feet, and I lie down.

And I give, my life, to You."

The name Ruth, in Hebrew, means Friend. Oh, what a friend she was to Naomi. She loved her so much. When Naomi, whose name means pleasant, decided to return home, Ruth would not be parted from her.

"Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following you. For wherever you go, I will go. And wherever you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God."

Ruth came to the feet of Boaz, as a close relative through her Mother-In-Law, Naomi. Is Israel, not our Mother-In-Law? Is Boaz, in this story, not representing the second Adam, the Messiah, coming to redeem what the first Adam could not? The song went on.

"You woke, and saw me laying there.

You said, ‘My love, your kindness to Me is Great.

You please me, My love. You please me, My love.

Ask what you will, and I will give it to you.’"

The book of Ruth is filled with so much prophetic symbolism that ties into what I am sharing. I am not going into depth because I want to emphasis what the Lord was birthing in my heart, through the experience of this song. Boaz spoke to Ruth as she lay at His feet and told her;

"And now My daughter, do not fear. I will do for you, all that you request."

As I was singing this song, and the words came to me,

"Ask what you will, and I will do it for you."

There was but one desire that burst forth from my heart. I am sure that this desire was also on Ruth's heart.

"Lord, if there is one thing; if there is one thing I can ask of You, Lord; it is for Naomi.

Lord, will You restore her? Lord, will You restore her?

Naomi, Israel, Naomi, Israel; will You restore her once again to Your heart?"

Back in September of 2004, right before the release of the movie "The Passion", I had a dream. This was the most realistic, heart retching experience I have ever had. In this dream I felt the passion and suffering of the heart of Jesus for His bride. I wrote this dream up and it was widely circulated on the internet. You can read it on my web site.

( link below), the title is "Dream of suffering bride and Groom". At the time I related the dream to the current day church and only mentioned Israel as an afterthought at the end. Soon after the posting went out I knew I had made a mistake. Israel was what this dream was all about. There is a part of the dream I never shared. A part that I did not understand, that I now believe is to be our prayer.

The dream took place in the house of a woman. There was a Man who lived in the house with her and they were greatly in love. A time came when the Man drank from a bowl and entered into great suffering. At this time of His great suffering, the woman's eyes were closed to Him and she could no longer see Him. He was still in the house, in His suffering; but His love, the woman, was separated from Him by these scales on her eyes. Here is the part of the dream I did not share before because I did not understand it.

The house in the dream was on the side of a river. All during the dream I kept getting flashes of people in the River splashing and playing and enjoying themselves. This could not be seen from inside of the house because all of the shades were pulled and it was dark. There came a time in the dream when the woman left the house with a faceless man (Holy Spirit). They took off on the river in a speedboat. When she returned to the house her eyes had been opened. She was then able to see the Man, and knew that His suffering was for her, and she was reunited with Him. This is now so clear to me.

Here is the call I feel the Lord is issuing to His body.

"Will you embrace the heart of Ruth for Naomi. Will you come to my feet and cry out for My love Israel. That she would again be restored to My heart. For My heart suffers for her. Pray that the opening of her eyes would be quickened. For the time is short, and the time has come, and the time is at hand."

I would encourage you, if this call has moved your heart, to read and meditate on the story of Ruth. Let her heart for Naomi rise up within you. That you also would cry out for the Redemption of your mother-in-law; Israel. That she would no longer exist in the bonds of the law; but that she would know the work of Boaz, the second Adam, who has made the way of her redemption.

Fresh Oil Releases
Heaven’s Court releases Its Verdict!

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

We read in verse two of the above passage that there are those who mourn in Zion. This seems to be a contradiction. Surely the inhabitants of Zion live in joy! It is understandable that those outside Zion are in mourning - but these people have ashes, mourning and heaviness INSIDE Zion. It seems that although their address denotes blessing, they have yet to experience the manifestation of it personally. The truth they believe in their heart has not yet come on earth as it is written in Heaven.

However, NOW I hear the sound of the gavel crashing down in the court of Heaven and the voice of the Judge declaring that the day of the Lord’s vengeance has come. It is time for the verdict reached by the heavenly court to be carried out in individual lives.

Isa 61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery and wrong; and I will direct their work in truth (AMP I will give them their recompense faithfully in truth), and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

What is recompense? It means payback time! The year of the Lord’s favor is the day of recompense for His people. Every area where the enemy has stolen; every part of your inheritance that has been held captive, is about to be loosed.

I want to declare the Lord’s favor over His faithful ones and the release of His righteous judgments on your behalf.

Let us read the document which governs the decision of Heaven’s court because all judgment is according to what is written:

Exo 22:9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ---, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.

Whatever has been stolen from God’s faithful servants is about to be restored in double quantities. This is what the Lord declares and He confirms this when He declares in Isaiah 61:7

Isa 61:7 Instead of your shame ye shall have double; and in place of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

According to this scripture, God is commanding the restoration of double honor in place of the shame you have endured, double recompense, double restoration! How does this happen? I want to explain to you the biblical practice of ‘ restoring the name of the dead to his inheritance’.

In Israel, when a man died, his wife was left penniless. She had no access to her dead husband’s resources. It was considered the duty of the nearest male relative (called a kinsman-redeemer) to marry the widow and this released the dead man’s wealth for use. This was called ‘restoring the name of the dead to his inheritance’. In the book of Ruth, we see Ruth and Naomi are widows. They can only glean what is left behind in the corners after the other reapers have passed by. They could not use their dead husbands’ resources because a woman was not allowed to inherit and there was no heir. Then Ruth discovers she has a kinsman-redeemer, Boaz.

If he will marry her, then Elimalech’s resources will be released and Ruth’s children, born of this second marriage, can inherit them. The child will bear the name of the dead person’s house, not the name of Boaz. According to this ancient law, this child is called ‘the first-born from among the dead’. By law, he received a double portion inheritance! He received all that rightfully belonged to the dead man’s house, plus an inheritance from his father – in this case, Boaz. There was a restoration of all that had been lost or stolen through death plus full inheritance from his father’s house.

In this story there are two women who travel together. They are on the same journey to the same destination but they are radically different. Naomi cannot marry Boaz as she is too old and past childbearing age. One has to still have the ability to be fruitful to lay claim to this ancient law. Naomi represents those in the church who cling to the old, who say, “I have been through so much heartache and suffering that it has irrevocably changed me, so call me ‘Marah’ – which means ‘bitter’”. In complete contrast, Ruth is of a different spirit. In spite of what she has suffered, she is willing to go on. Ruth says, ’where you go, I will go’, in other words ‘not my will, but yours be done’. Ruth carries the mark of a bond-slave on her heart- having been set free, she still follows. Because of her heart attitude Ruth catches the attention of Boaz, the owner of the field. She finds favor in his sight because of her self-denial and servant heart.

Have you caught the attention of the Lord of the Harvest? The Lord of the harvest has been watching those in His fields and certain ones have found favor in His sight. He sees they have left all to follow Him and He has noted the deprivation and suffering they have endured without complaining. All has been recorded in the annals of Heaven – nothing escapes His sight. Those who are mourning in Zion because of what has been taken from them, have been noted. The thief, who comes to steal and kill and destroy, has been active against them for a season but it has only served to refine and purify their hearts as they continue on serving in the fields of the Lord of Hosts. Deprivation has not turned them back; hardship and persecution has not embittered their hearts. The fragrance that comes from their laid-down lives has caught the attention of the Kinsman –Redeemer and He is in need of a Bride!

In Ruth 3:3 we read that Ruth washed and perfumed herself – here we see a picture of the Bride making herself ready - and she goes and lies down at his feet and requests him to spread his skirt or wing over her – this is another way of asking him to marry her. In essence, what was she saying? “I want to be fruitful and release the inheritance that lies dormant and locked up”. This inheritance was not just for her, but for those who were coming after her. Her request was not for selfish gain but for the good of others. This is similar to the case of Esther, who when offered half the kingdom, requested rather release and freedom for her people.

According to the custom, Boaz then spoke for her in the gates – where the elders sat and court processes happened. The wedding then took place and we can read the double blessing that was released upon the joining of the Bride and the Kinsman-Redeemer.

Rth 4:11 All the people in the town square that day, backing up the elders, said, "Yes, we are witnesses. May GOD make this woman who is coming into your household like Rachel and Leah, the two women who built the family of Israel.
This was the normal blessing released upon the bride at a wedding but then an additional one was added:

May GOD make you a pillar in Ephrathah and famous in Bethlehem!
Rth 4:12 With the children GOD gives you from this young woman, may your family rival the family of Perez, the son Tamar bore to Judah."

So we see the joining as one of the Bride and the Kinsman-Redeemer releases a double blessing. Bride of Christ, you shall walk in the earth with a double portion of favor resting upon you. Those of you who have prepared your hearts, even though in mourning, those who have lain at His feet and requested covering and release of that which has been stolen, will be a part of the Bride and the day of the Lord’s favor is declared over you.

The child who was born of Boaz and Ruth was Obed. His name means ‘bond-slave’. From the Bride will come forth the bond-slaves of the Lamb spoken of in Revelation 14:4, who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These bond-slaves will walk in a double portion of inheritance and recompense and will have authority to release recompense and restoration over others by the words of their mouths.

The first thing restored to the Bride is the continual presence of the Bridegroom –she dwells in His presence before His face and in His presence there is fullness of joy. Then fruitfulness comes and double portion of inheritance is released to those who are bond-slaves of the Lamb.

Jesus was called ‘the First-Born from Among the Dead’. He was named for the house of the dead, being called the Last Adam. He was the first to surrender and be wed to His Father’s will, the first divine Bond-Slave, Who ensured that all given to Adam was released and restored - and all that was His Father’s was also His (He said, “Everything the Father has is mine”) so here we see the double inheritance which was His to appropriate.

Having provided the pattern which we are to follow, there is now coming forth a body of those who are forerunners, an Obed generation who walk in this double restoration and recompense. Through intimacy with the Bridegroom, we are heirs with God and co-heirs with Christ. Because we are born of an incorruptible seed, Heaven’s resources are available to us and as we lay down our lives, all that is the Last Adam’s is ours to enjoy. This is the glorious riches of His inheritance spoken of in Ephesians 1. It cannot be accessed until we lay down our lives and surrender to the Bridegroom. Even though Elimelech’s wealth still existed, Ruth could not access it until she became the Bride. Even though Christ’s inheritance is within you, you cannot access it until you surrender to the Bridegroom and become a bond-slave of the Lamb.

We see this described in psalm 110:

Psa 110:3AMP Your people shall offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power; in holy adornment from the womb of the morning will spring forth Your young men who are as the dew.

Out of womb of the morning is coming a first-fruits company of bond-slaves who will be able to access and release this double portion inheritance – receiving and declaring restoration and recompense in the earth. In effect, they will be releasing God’s righteous judgments in the earth because He has declared in Isaiah 61 that He hates robbery!

Do you desire to become a vessel dispensing a double portion of God’s righteous judgments in the earth? Do you want to open prison doors, set captives free and open the eyes of the blind. It is for those who are prepared to be a bond-slave Bride, those who have prepared and washed themselves, those who have been lying at His feet in the darkness. Only through bridal intimacy will the glorious riches of Christ’s inheritance be possessed and experienced.

It is very important that the message must manifest in us before we can take it to others. We cannot effectively describe the taste of a meal unless we have partaken of it ourselves. We must personally experience the day of favor ourselves before we can dispense it to others. We need to taste and see that God is good!! The hardworking farmer must have the first taste of the harvest. For this reason, the Lord is releasing recompense and restoration in double measure. You need to stand and receive it.

When Ruth left the threshing floor very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Boaz instructed her to hold up her mantle. Then he poured into it six measures of barley for her to return home with. She had previously gathered one measure by her own efforts but this outpouring of grain required no effort from her. All she had to do was receive. The mantle she held up was her widow’s mantle. It represented all that had been taken from her by force, all her loss, all her mourning. Into this empty cup, the bridegroom poured all that was needed to make up seven measures –which represents a full portion, all that was owed.

Bride of Christ, you have been lying at His feet and it is now very early in the morning of the Third Day, which is also the Seventh Day from creation. The seventh day is the day of Rest. The time to cease from your own labors and gathering by your own human effort has come. You have only managed to gather one portion, with all your sweat and tears. Now it is time to surrender to the Bridegroom and be wed to the will of the Father. Where He goes, you will go. Where He rests, you will rest. His journey is your journey, His people will be your people and not even death is able to separate you from His love. Now, as you go forth from this place of death-to-self, stand and hold up your widow’s mantle. Prepare to receive an outpouring from the windows of Heaven – six measures bringing recompense and restoration to wholeness again. There has been a verdict released from the Courts of Heaven – RESTORE! God’s righteous judgments are being released and His judgment is in favor of the saints.

Isa 66:14b AMP And the hand of Jehovah will be known and shown to be toward His servants, and His fury toward His enemies.

The set time to favor Zion has come! Hold up your mantle and receive beauty to replace your ashes, the oil of joy in exchange for the mourning veil and a garment of praise to replace that spirit of heaviness. You are destined to be an oak of righteousness, planted by the Lord, that He may be glorified in and through you. Then you will restore the ancient ruins:

Isa 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

You will go forth, declaring God’s righteous judgments in the earth – Restore, raise up, repair! You will co-labor with the hand of the Lord as it is shown to be toward his servants and against His enemies. God is searching for those who are not looking for an inheritance to provide for their own comfort and luxury, those whose heart is one with the heart of the Father; those willing to lay down their lives for the sake of a broken world. Will you pay this price?

If so, prepare to receive the double portion due to you, Beloved!

Ruth 4:15 (KJV) - And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life…

1 Kings 7:21 (KJV) - And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

One of my favorite books in the Bible is the Book of Ruth. The Book of Ruth is a picture of our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is chocked full of divine revelation. It is a love story about Ruth and Boaz. Boaz was a “kinsman redeemer” of Ruth. In verse 4:10, Boaz states “Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up (resurrect) the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren…”. This verse illustrates exactly what Jesus has done for each one of us. He shed His own blood on the Cross to “redeem” us from our sins. If you have never taken the time to read through the Book of Ruth, take time today. It is only four chapters long. As you read it, see yourself as Ruth and Jesus as Boaz…the revelation will amaze you.

The Word of God is so deep. I love studying it. Boaz and Ruth were the great-grandparents of King David. Boaz’s father was Salmon. Salmon was the husband of Rahab, the prostitute who assisted Joshua’s spies when Israel was directed by the LORD to conquer Jericho. King David and Jesus both have a Moabite and a prostitute in their lineage. The Moabites descended from a incestuous relationship between Abraham’s nephew, Lot, and one of Lot’s daughters. These facts prove that God can take anyone born into any situation, redeem them, and turn them from a nobody into a somebody. The Word also reveals that it is fruitless to have fleshly pride about one’s earthly lineage. There are sinful skeletons in every family tree. God cares less about the past as long as it is repented and covered by the Blood of Jesus. He rather takes notice of the heart that turns to Him…the person that places their trust in Him and presses forward to serve Him the way He originally planned before sin got them off track.

King David appeared on the scene three generations down the line from Ruth and Boaz. It is astonishing to note that if one studies the Hebrew name of Ruth, they find that the third root word of her name means “shepherd”…“ruler”…“teacher” (Strong’s Concordance). God gave a prophetic picture in Ruth’s name of her great grandson, King David. Isn’t that awesome?

Boaz’s name means “fleetness” (Strong’s Concordance). “Fleetness” means to be swift and “quick“. We are told in 1 Corinthians 15:45 “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a “quickening” spirit”. By His bodily death and resurrection, Jesus became a quickening spirit. What does that mean? It means that He defeated death caused by sin entering into the world through Adam and brought the gift of resurrection life to all who will receive it by faith. Based on my research, just as Boaz is a prophetic picture of Jesus Christ, I believe his name to be a prophetic picture of what Christ accomplishes in each one of us when we receive Him as Lord and Savior. To be “quickened” means to be “made alive” in Christ.

In one of our key scriptures above, we find that in 1 Kings 7:21, King Solomon set up pillars on the porch of the temple he built to the glory of God. The temple plans were given to King David, Solomon’s father, but David was not allowed by God to build the temple. The Hebrew root word “temple” means “to overcome”…“to prevail”. The Hebrew root words for “porch” and “pillars” mean “to bind” and “to stand, to endure” (definitions from Strong’s Concordance). King Solomon named the two pillars “Jachin” which means “He will establish” and "Boaz". We already know that Boaz means “fleetness” (Strong’s Concordance) and I believe “quickening”. Nothing in the Bible is coincidental or circumstantial. This passage in 1 Kings has always intrigued me. I believe the revelation to be that a thousand years before Jesus was born, God unveiled a prophetic revelation through King Solomon that He had already established “quickening” or “life” for all mankind through Jesus Christ. We are the temple of the LORD and He lives within us, giving us the power to prevail and overcome sin in our lives allowing us to stand and endure through anything the world and the enemy may throw at us. When we receive Jesus, our spirits are “bound” to the Holy Spirit, forever changed and made alive in Him.

The Word of God is endless and eternal…forever yielding its treasures of revelation to those who are willing to open their hearts and receive. When you study the Word, you find a brilliantly interwoven tapestry of the prophetic that ultimately points to one thing…that God loves us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to snatch us from the clutches of sin, death and hell and restore us back to the place of fellowship with Him…the place Adam and Eve vacated when they allowed sin to enter the earth through them.

Take some time today to go treasure hunting in the Word. I use the online Strong’s Concordance located at Crosswalk.com. Do a little digging and God will quickly fill your spirit…your treasury…with His golden nuggets of Truth.

Be blessed this weekend,

A Word for Your Day!
by John Mark Pool

January 5-8, 2008 Your Redeemer is at the Gate!

“Then Naomi said to her, "Just be patient, my daughter, until we hear what happens. The man won't rest until he has followed through on this. He will settle it today." Ruth 3:18

Now it is HARVEST TIME! Blessings came at the GATE of the REDEEMER!

I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES!

"And as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth.” Job 19:25

Descendants of Boaz and Ruth

Ruth 4:13-17:

So Boaz married Ruth and took her home to live with him. When he slept with her, the LORD enabled her to become pregnant, and she gave birth to a son.

14) And the women of the town said to Naomi, "Praise the LORD who has given you a family redeemer today! May he be famous in Israel.

15) May this child restore your youth and care for you in your old age. For he is the son of your daughter-in-law who loves you so much and who has been better to you than seven sons!"

16) Naomi took care of the baby and cared for him as if he were her own.

17) The neighbor women said, "Now at last Naomi has a son again!" And they named him Obed. He became the father of Jesse and the grandfather of David.

►COST IS NOT AN ISSUE TO COMMITMENT!

A REAL REDEEMER IS A “RESPONSIBLE” MAN!

The First Family Redeemer refused due to the “COST.” [Human Planning!]

Vs. 4:4-6 The nearer kinsman agreed to pay the price of purchasing the land of Elimelech, until he found out that it involved the responsibility of marrying and supporting the widow Ruth.

This would jeopardize his own inheritance, being a double financial burden by

(1) buying the field for Ruth's heir, rather than for his own, and

(2) providing for Ruth and her family.

BOAZ WAS A “BUSINESSMAN” AND REDEEMER!

Boaz suspected this outcome would be the case when the marriage to the “MOABITESS” was required with the land deal!

NOTE: BOAZ DID NOT BRING UP HER NAME, HE SAID THE “MOABITE’ WOMAN….In other words, you must take on that “outsider” and divvy up your inheritance if hers is ever an issue!

“NO THANK YOU,” THE FIRST OF KIN SAID! NO BAGGAGE ON MY WEALTH!

So, then it was time to conduct Official Business:

►Boaz was not only a Pillar he was a SHREWD ONE!

God is now telling His people that we must cut our dead past and losses and move into the Gates of your redeemer! God has your answer waiting on you at His Gates of Blessings! When we allow ourselves to move out of dead dreams and lost aspirations into the Open Gates of Promise into your new “Judah.” Move to your New Gate because waiting for you now Your Redeemer is at the Gate!
