Ahmadinejad: On February 11, Islamic Republic's nuclear rights 'will be established'

"Giant achievements" by Iran will be unveiled by its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in the coming days, the Iranian Fars news agency reported on Saturday.



The Iranian news agency said an upcoming dramatic announcement on Iran's nuclear "rights" would be made on February 11. The report was accompanied by a series of announcements heralding alleged Iranian technological and medical breakthroughs, including an "AIDS cure."



Ahmadinejad's "administration is going to publicize the country's remarkable progresses and achievements within the coming days," the Fars news agency said.



"The Iranian president also reiterated that February 11 is the day when the Iranian nation's inalienable right to access and use nuclear technology will be established," the agency added.




"The Iranian nation will celebrate stabilization and establishment of its nuclear rights during the Ten-Day Dawn, (sic)" Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. The "ten-day dawn" in early February marks the date of the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979.



"When a nation decides to stand on its own feet to climb up the peaks, God helps it and that nation will embrace victory," Ahmadinejad said.



The Iranian government's boasts of "great achievements" included an announcement on Saturday that Iranian scientists have "introduced an AIDS cure".




"After seven long years of arduous work, Iranian scientists here on Saturday introduced a herbal medicine which cures Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)," Fars reported.




"The drug named 'IMOD' is completely effective and safe with no proven side effects," Iran's Minister of Health Kamran Bagheri Lankarani claimed during a ceremony.



"The world should know today that the capable Iranian nation, relying on its own youths and scientists, has now conquered the peaks of knowledge and science," Ahmadinejad declared during his speech.

As many of you know, this past Friday February 2nd, central Florida was hit with a night-time storm of 5 Super Tornadoes. Many residential communities and towns were completely destroyed. Latest count is about 1,500 homes damaged or destroyed, 20 people died, and hundreds of Floirda familes are now homeless

I live in Volusia County, one of the Florida counties that has been declared a federal disaster area. Fema has arrived to assist in the recovery process. But the thousands of residents who are now homeless need immediate help

I spent Saturday and Sunday afternoon walking through the disaster areas. Handing out lunch meals, gospel tracts and sharing the love and grace of Jesus Christ with the disaster victims, red cross volunteers, fire fighters and police. The most immediate need is for money for the tornado victims to buy food, clothing and shelter

I am planning on continuing to visit many of the effected disaster areas in the next couple of weeks. I plan on giving each family visited a $100 check, two bags of food and one NIV Bible. I need your immediate help to do this much needed ministry

Four Kassam rockets were fired into Israel and Arabs rioted in Jerusalem - in protest of Antiquities Authority works at the Western Wall Plaza entrance to the Temple Mount.


Restrictions were placed on Moslem worshipers allowed to the Temple Mount, and the police were out in force Tuesday morning at the excavation works site, in anticipation of a fierce Arab reaction to the work. Though less violent than expected, rock-throwers rioted in eastern and northern Jerusalem; 11 Arabs were arrested.

In addition, terrorist groups fired four Kassam rockets, in two waves, claiming to retaliate for the excavation work. In the first Kassam wave, around 1 PM, one rocket landed on the fence of a sensitive infrastructures installations outside Ashkelon, and one crashed into the western Negev. Three hours later, two more rockets smashed down near Sderot, including one that landed in a nearby community. No one was hurt.

Jordan's Abdullah condemns dig near Temple Mount

Jordan's King Abdullah II condemned an Israel Antiquities Authority excavation that began Tuesday near a site holy to Muslims and Jews, warning of potential "negative" consequences for the peace process.

Abdullah called the Israeli dig "a threat to the foundations of the al-Aksa mosque," according to a statement from the royal palace.

"These measures will lead to a climate that is not conducive to the success of efforts to put the Palestinian-Israeli peace process back on track," the king's statement said.

King Abdullah II mentioned Jordan's 1994 peace treaty with Israel, which recognizes a "special" Jordanian role in the custodianship of shrines in Jerusalem, saying the kingdom will contact unnamed countries on the matter and that it will undertake unspecified measures to "ensure the protection of Islamic shrines in Jerusalem."

He did not elaborate, but appeared to mean that Jordan might ask its longtime ally the United States to intercede.

Abdullah said that he instructed his government to contact Israel to "stop its dig and warn it of the negative repercussions of its actions against al-Aksa."

Earlier Tuesday, Islamic leaders called for a new wave of violence against Israel over the contentious dig near the Temple Mount.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. and Iraqi forces swooped on the Health Ministry on Thursday, seizing a deputy minister accused of funneling millions of dollars to Shi'ite militias in the first major sign that a crackdown in Baghdad has begun.

Ministry officials and witnesses said Deputy Health Minister Hakim Zamili, a member of radical Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al- Sadr's political group, was detained during the raid, the latest operation by U.S. and Iraqi forces to target senior Sadr aides.

The U.S. military, without naming anyone, said a senior Health Ministry official had been captured on suspicion of infiltrating members of Sadr's Mehdi Army militia into the ministry and using it as a cover for sectarian killings.

"The suspect's corruption is believed to have funneled millions of U.S. dollars into rogue JAM," it said, using the U.S. military's acronym for the Mehdi Army.

The Pentagon has identified the Mehdi Army as a greater threat to peace in Iraq than Sunni Islamist al Qaeda. ----for- tat killings by Sunni Arab and Shi'ite militants has killed tens of thousands of Iraqis.

In a massacre that bore the hallmarks of a sectarian killing, gunmen machine-gunned 14 men from the same Sunni family in a village north of Baghdad after dragging them from their homes and lining them up, police said.

South of Baghdad, a car bomb killed 17 people in a market in the mainly Shi'ite town of Aziziya and mortar rounds hit a Shi'ite village near Iskandariya, killing seven people and wounding 10, police said. A car bomb in Baghdad killed six.

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, a Shi'ite, has vowed to tackle both Shi'ite and Sunni Arab militants in the U.S.-backed offensive that aims to strengthen his government's fragile grip over Baghdad, epicenter of the sectarian bloodletting.

Critics say previous campaigns failed because Maliki, who got the job thanks to support from Sadr's group, had resisted moving against Sadr's supporters and the Mehdi Army.

But the U.S. military has intensified operations against the group in recent months as Washington has stepped up pressure on Maliki to curb violence.

The arrest came a day after the U.S. military said the long -awaited Baghdad offensive had begun -- seen as a final attempt to halt Iraq's slide toward all-out civil war.

NEW TOP U.S. COMMANDER ARRIVES

General David Petraeus, the new top U.S. military commander in Iraq, has arrived in the country, a U.S. military official said. Petraeus, who replaces General George Casey, is due to take formal command of some 130,000 U.S. troops on Saturday.

The arrest of Zamili, sparked anger from Sadr's political movement, which accused the U.S. military of trying to provoke a confrontation. It urged the government to free the official.

There was no comment from Maliki's office. But a Shi'ite official told Reuters the arrest was deliberately made at the ministry to send a message that no suspects are above the law.

"They wanted to tell everyone that they are serious and even government officials cannot take refuge in ministries."

Some Shi'ite sources said that Zamili was a suspect in kidnappings, including the abduction of ministry colleagues.

Zamili's brother, Waleed, who said he saw U.S. and Iraqi soldiers handcuff his brother, protested his innocence, saying he was a victim of a campaign against Sadrists.

Iraqi and U.S. forces have seized or killed hundreds of Sadr's followers in recent weeks.

West of the capital, U.S. forces said they killed 13 insurgents in an air strike on two suspected foreign fighter safe houses. A doctor at a local hospital, however, said 30 bodies, including those of seven children, had been brought in from the village of Zaidan.

The U.S. military also announced the deaths of four U.S. Marines killed in combat in western Anbar province.

President Bush has said he is sending 21,500 more troops to Iraq to help quell violence.

Archeologist: Ancient cistern proves location of Second Temple

An Israeli archeologist said Wednesday that he has pinpointed the exact location of the Second Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount.

The site identified by Hebrew University archeologist Prof. Joseph Patrich, based on the study of a large underground cistern on the Temple Mount and passages from the Mishna, places the Temple and its corresponding courtyards, chambers and gates in a more southeasterly and diagonal frame of reference compared to previous studies.

Patrich based his research, which is about to be published, on a study of a large underground cistern on the Temple Mount that was mapped by British engineer Sir Charles Wilson in 1866 on behalf of the Palestine Exploration Fund, along with passages from the Mishna.

The giant cistern, 4.5 meters wide and 54 meters long, lay near the southeastern corner of the upper platform of the Temple Mount. Examining the location and configuration of the cistern together with descriptions of the daily rite in the Temple and its surroundings found in the Mishna, Patrich said that this cistern is the only one found on the Temple Mount that can tie in with the ancient rabbinic text describing elements involved in the daily purification and sacrificial duties carried out by the priests on the altar in the Temple courtyard.

On this basis, he says, one can reconstruct the placement of a large basin that was used by the priests for their ritual washing, with the water being drawn by a waterwheel mechanism from the cistern.

After this purification, the priests ascended the nearby ramp to the sacrificial altar.

By thus locating the laver, the water wheel, the ramp and the altar, one can then finally map, again in coordination with the Mishna, the alignment of the Temple itself and its gates and chambers, he said.

These considerations led Patrich to place the Second Temple further to the east and south than earlier thought, and at a southeasterly angle relative to the eastern wall of the Temple Mount, and not perpendicular to it, as earlier assumed.

Patrich said that his research indicates that the rock over which the Dome of the Rock was built in the 7th century CE is actually outside the confines of the Temple.


The rock is believed to be the place at which the binding of Isaac took place, while Muslims consider it to be the spot from which Muhammad ascended to heaven.

The Temple Mount is Judaism's holiest site as the ancient compound where the two Jewish Temples stood, and is Islam's third holiest site after Mecca and Medina.

Will Israel Attack Iran with Nuclear Weapons?

Last week, The Times of London said Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons. Several things make this widely-published report plausible.

Today, many people are calling Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, “a second Hitler.” Doing his best to live up to this description, the Islamic leader continues to spew wild, inflammatory rhetoric and actively call for the total destruction of Israel. He has declared, “Israel must be wiped off the map.”

Iran sponsors terrorism worldwide; organizes, finances and trains Hezbollah leadership in Lebanon; funds outlawed Shiite death squads in Iraq; and are actively assisting the return of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Iran provides cover and comfort for al-Qaeda.


Why Is Iran a Threat?

Iran’s strutting belligerence on the world stage and its indecent threats grow more frequent and more dangerous. The country’s nuclear ambitions and the potential of such weapons in the hands of these irrational leaders should not be downplayed or underestimated.

On January 23, the official news agency of Iran, IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting), reported that Ahmadinejad “assured” Syria’s foreign minister, Wailed Mualem that both the United States and Israel “will soon come to the end of their lives.” Iran’s own news agency said:

Ahmadinejad has threatened the State of Israel with annihilation several times in recent months, and has recently added the U.S. and Britain to the list of countries he says will be destroyed. The United States is unable to inflict serious damage on Iran.


He claims the Holocaust was a hoax perpetrated on the world by Europe. Last December, he even convened a Holocaust Conference in Tehran, inviting a motley cast of Holocaust deniers. Speakers included David Duke, America’s Imperial Wizard of the KKK, and Ali Akbar Mohtashamipour, one of the founders of Lebanese militia, Hezbollah.

Iran is a major player in the “hate America” group of nations. These despise America’s values, culture, influence and strength. They take advantage of every opportunity to disparage or harm the United States. Consider these facts:

# Before September 11, 2001, Iran was responsible for the deaths of over 1,500 Americans—more than any other state sponsor of terror or terrorist organization in history.

# The U.S. Department of State has called the government of Iran the “the most active state sponsor of terrorism.”

# A report by the Israeli secret service estimates that Iran has “invested more than $10 million to encourage terrorist activity against Israel.”

# Iran is responsible for developing Hezbollah in Lebanon, and underwrites it with training, equipment, funds and political support.

# Many indicators show that Iran is connected to al-Qaida.

# Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, repeatedly and publicly calls for the destruction of the only democratic country in the region, Israel.

# In one of his public speeches, Ahmadinejad spoke of “a world without America.”

# Iran is intent on possessing both nuclear weapons and the ballistic missiles to deliver them, as well as electromagnetic pulse weapons, which experts say pose a direct and major threat, directly to the American homeland.

The threat of international misfits controlling nuclear weapons is frightening. Israeli Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz has warned:

Ahmadinejad believes he is on a divine mission. I’m the last person to call him insane. Although I am not qualified as a psychologist, it’s clear to me we are dealing with a person driven by an extremist ideology, who is determined to fulfill his mission.


Preparing to Strike?

All this has led Israeli officials to conclude that it will be left to them to strike. Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh said last month:

The time is approaching when Israel and the international community will have to decide whether to take military action against Iran.

The widely-published report from London said Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons. If Israel carries out the reported strike, this would be the first attack with nuclear weapons since atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II. Experts say the Israeli weapons would each have a force of one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb.

“As soon as the green light is given, it will be one mission, one strike and the Iranian nuclear project will be demolished,” according to someone inside Israel, The Times.


Targets Considered

Israel has identified three prime targets south of Tehran, which are believed to be involved in Iran’s nuclear program. They are:

# Natanz, a nuclear facility where thousands of centrifuges are being installed for uranium enrichment. An Iranian opposition party, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), disclosed its secret existence in 2002.

# Bushehr is a complex of light water reactors located on the Persian Gulf, southwest of Isfahan, where an Iranian vice-president said, “250 tons of gas for the enrichment process has been stored in tunnels.”

# Arak, the site of two planned heavy water facilities, which, in the future, may produce enough plutonium for a bomb.

Israeli officials believe that destroying these three sites would delay Iran’s nuclear program indefinitely, and prevent Jewish people everywhere from having to live in fear of a “second Holocaust.” The Israeli government has warned repeatedly that it will never allow nuclear weapons to be made in Iran.

Meanwhile, Israeli military commanders feel conventional strikes may no longer be enough to annihilate Iran’s well-defended enrichment facilities.

Several have been built beneath at least 70 feet of concrete and rock. However, the nuclear-tipped bunker-busters would be used only if a conventional attack was ruled out, and if the United States declined to intervene, according to senior sources.
The U.S. has declined to intervene so far.

The paper quoted Israeli sources that said two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear “bunker-busters.” Under the plans, they said, conventional laser-guided bombs would open “tunnels” into the targets. “Mini-nukes” would then immediately be fired into a plant at Natanz, exploding deep underground to reduce the risk of radioactive fallout.

It has been reported that Israeli pilots have flown to Gibraltar in recent weeks to train for the 2,000-mile round-trip to the Iranian targets. Three possible routes have been mapped out, including one over Turkey.

Sources in Jerusalem reveal that Israeli Air force squadrons based at Hatzerim, in the Negev desert and Tel Nof, south of Tel Aviv, have trained to use Israel’s tactical nuclear weapons on the mission. Major General Eliezer Shkedi, commander of the Israeli Air Force, is supervising the preparations.


Will America Respond?

Reports say that both the U.S. and Britain are bolstering their naval strength in the region. A second U.S. aircraft carrier group, the USS John C. Stennis and escort ships, entered the Persian Gulf in late January. For the first time, President Bush appointed an admiral, William Fallon, to take over as head of U.S. Central Command. This command is responsible for Middle East operations in both Iran and Iraq.

Retired Colonel, Sam Gardiner, called the deployment of a second aircraft carrier strike force to the Gulf region, as well as British minesweepers, as a “huge deal.” “It is only necessary to do this if you are planning to strike Iran and deal with the consequences,” he said.

Consequences could include Iranian attempts to shut the Strait of Hormuz, the sea route for much of the world’s oil. The United States announced it was also sending two more nuclear submarines to the area. One U.S. sub collided with a Japanese tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

Reports say that U.S. Navy nuclear submarines maintaining vigil off the coast of Iran indicate the Pentagon’s military plans include, not only control over navigation in the Persian Gulf, but also strikes against Iranian targets.

Admiral Eduard Baltin, a former commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, told the news agency, Interfax:

The presence of U.S. nuclear submarines in the Persian Gulf region means that the Pentagon has not abandoned plans for surprise strikes against nuclear targets in Iran. With this aim, a group of multi-purpose submarines ready to accomplish the task, is located in the area.

He said the four submarines in the Persian Gulf area also control navigation in the Gulf of Oman and in the Arabian Sea.

American patience is not unlimited. They might receive different orders in future to block off the Gulf of Oman—that is the Iranian coast—and, if need be, launch missile strikes against ground targets in Iran.

Already there are indications the Pentagon is preparing for that eventuality. Over the past few months, senior U.S. officials have been traveling to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states to discuss ways of strengthening defense ties and military capacities in those countries.

It may be necessary to defend U.S. military bases in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain from possible Iranian retaliation, in the event of a U.S. attack. However; Robert Gates, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, has called military action against Iran a “last resort.”

Israeli and American officials have met several times to consider military action. Military analysts say the disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment, cajole America into action or soften up world opinion in advance of an Israeli attack.

Options Are Limited. Given the current political climate in both the U.N. and the U.S., Israel may not have a choice.

President George W. Bush has stressed he is seeking a diplomatic solution to the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program. Yet, he has not taken the military option off the table. His recent statements, plus tougher financial sanctions and actions against Iranian involvement in Iraq, has kept alive talk in Washington about a possible U.S. attack on Iran.

The world is moving inexorably toward the coming of the Lord. Turmoil continues to boil in the Middle East. The prophetic spotlight shifts from crisis to crisis and from country to country, but it always goes back to Israel.

Pray for President Bush and other decision-makers of the United States. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray that evil will be defeated and justice and righteousness will triumph.

Once again we are seeing the interference of Iran and Syria using any and everything they can to promote more Arab kids being wrapped with bombs and sent into Jewish public places to kill as many of us as they possibly can. You might remember the rash of killings because of the excavation near the Western Wall known now as the Western Wall tunnel, but originally it was known as the Hasmonean Water Tunnel, but actually it dates back to the first Temple Period. What happened then is the Arabs who like to call themselves “Palestinians” used the opening of the northern end as a reason to kill more Jews. Before that tunnel was opened tourist had to go in one group at a time and the next group would have to wait until they came back out the same entrance. All we did was open the far end (northern) so groups could be moved through the tunnel more easily. But if you listened to the News on CNN, BBC and others you’d think Israel was doing some terrible thing to these poor Islamic Arabs.



We are seeing the same thing happen again, but this time I want to show you a couple of pictures and explain what is being done so when you hear this on the news you will know the truth and possible be able to tell otters.



For those of you who have been to the Temple Mount while visiting Israel will remember going through a gate near the Western Wall in Arabic it is called the Mughrabi Gate and you will be hearing that name in the news for awhile.



You will notice in this picture that there is a temporary ramp that was built the first reason was the old earth ramp was the only thing left after the excavation on both sides of the Western Wall many years ago in order to expose more of the Western Wall. This mount was left as a ramp to give entrance to the Mughrabi Gate. You will also notice that it has absolutely nothing to do with the Al-Aksa Mosque that you will be hearing so much about. You will also notice that the new ramp has a roof over the walk way, the reason for that roof was to protect tourist from getting hit in the head by Arab rock throwers. What caused the building of the wooden ramp was the earth quake a couple years ago that caused much of that ramp to collapse.








The Al-Aksa Mosque is at least 150 yards from the retaining wall of the Temple Mount and could in no way be affected by building a better and more permanent ramp for Tourist to enter the Temple Mount. Once again we are seeing the Islamic Arabs using any and every possible event to kill Jews and we can be sure to see the Liberal Media assist them in everyway possible.



Here is a closer look where you can see the entrance to the Gate and the old mount of earth that must be removed, but removed in the Holy Land means excavated.



One thing the Moslems are frightened of is Israel will find much more Jewish History as this mount goes right over one of the main Roman roads that ran near the Wall. Already we are finding many items in the Kidron Valley where they have dumped the earth removed from Solomon’s Stables.








So now when you hear the news, you can say I know the truth, as usual these people, who love to kill Jews and even each other, are simply trying to set the world stage to excuse another round of Islamic killings.

Are the makings of a Sci-Fi movie happening in the Piedmont-Triad?


There have been strange reports about flying objects in the skies -- and some people think they're UFOs.


WXII 12's Nicole Ducouer spoke to a Kernersville man who said he captured an object on his cell phone.
Jamarus Crews said he was sitting in his Farmwood Garden Apartment when he saw something in the sky. It had lots of lights and made no noise, he said.


Wilkes County's Charles Miller said he also caught an image of an object.


"From the first time I saw it until it was gone, it was 45 seconds and it crossed the entire sky," he told Ducouer.


Strange sightings have been reported in a number of locations in recent days.


The National Weather Service said it has seen nothing out of the ordinary on its radar, and the Appalachian State University Observatory said it was probably a bolide -- a fireball-like meteor that frequently enters the earth's atmosphere but is rarely seen.

Mysterious lights in the sky witnessed and photographed by an Air Force colonel who described them as "not of this world" apparently have an explanation of this Earth after all according to the U.S. Air Force, WND can reveal.


LUU-2 flare deploys parachute to float slowly to Earth

Officials say the colorful illuminations seen Jan. 9 over western Arkansas came from special military flares that slowly parachuted to the ground as part of an Air Force training mission involving A-10 aircraft pilots at nearby Fort Chaffee, a base used for testing weaponry.

"We were flying A-10s in that area and they were using flares," Jessica D'Aurizio, chief of public affairs at the 917th Wing of the Air Force Reserve at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, told WND.

She says the flares, which stay lit for about five minutes, produce nearly 2 million candlepower.

"It brightens up the target area," D'Aurizio said. "They go down in parachutes, so they're very bright. That had to be what it was, I'm sure."

As WND exclusively reported last week, F-16 fighter pilot Col. Brian Fields, now retired at 61, was at his Van Buren, Ark., home Jan. 9 when just before 7 p.m., he observed two intensely bright lights as he looked to the southeast close to the horizon.

"At first I thought they were landing lights from an aircraft," he said. "As I continued to observe them they began to slowly disappear, then suddenly one reappeared, followed by two, then three. On at least one occasion four or five appeared. Each time they would slowly fade and eventually disappear. This occurred several times and when they would reappear they might do so in differing numbers and in different positions, sometimes in a triangular shape, sometimes stacked on top of each other, sometimes line abreast, etc. When the objects appeared they might stay illuminated 10 or more minutes."

He added, "I believe these lights were not of this world, and I feel a duty and responsibility to come forward."

Lt. Col. Pete Gauger, executive staff officer at the 188th Fighter Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard, confirmed A-10s were on the Fort Chaffee bombing range dropping suspended flares at the time Fields documented the lights some five to ten degrees above the horizon.

"They would drop multiple flares," he said. "That probably solves your mystery. It's beyond coincidence."

Gauger said WND's initial report caused a lot of interest among media outlets, especially after being featured on the Drudge Report.

"It was widely read," he said. "I read it, and I didn't immediately tie it in [to the training]."

Fort Chaffee, which is run by the Arkansas Army National Guard, is situated on approximately 61,000 acres not far from Fields' residence in Van Buren.

"Just a small portion of it is for the Air National Guard to fire and test weapons," said Kim Kimmey, chief warrant officer at Fort Chaffee.

According to the Federation of American Scientists Military Analysis Network, A-10 aircraft "have excellent maneuverability at low air speeds and altitude, and are highly accurate weapons-delivery platforms. They can loiter near battle areas for extended periods of time and operate under 1,000-foot ceilings with 1.5-mile visibility. Their wide combat radius and short takeoff and landing capability permit operations in and out of locations near front lines. Using night vision goggles, A-10/ OA-10 pilots can conduct their missions during darkness."

D'Aurizio at Barksdale AFB told WND there were four A-10 planes as part of the training mission the night of Jan. 9, and they used LUU-2 flares.

According to GlobalSecurity.org, "The mechanism has a timer on it that deploys the parachute and ignites the flare candle. The flare candle burns magnesium which burns at high temperature emitting an intense bright white light. The consumption of the aluminum cylinder that contains the flare 'candle' may add some orange to the light."

"I did not know that such 'parachute flares' existed and never considered the possibility," Col. Fields told WND upon learning the reason behind the mysterious lights. "I am grateful, however, that the truth has been determined and those that may have been disturbed by this event will be able to rest."

Fields, a Christian who originally speculated his sighting might have had something to do with End Time prophecies from the Bible, still wants people to remain vigilant.

"Because this event was explained does not change the fact that we live in perilous times �" and we must still be awake, alert, and know that a great deception is still coming."

WND's original story sparked a flurry of interest in unexplained phenomena and UFO activity, with many readers saying they had seen or experienced lights similar to those witnessed by Fields.

D'Aurizio said when the flares are deployed, "It's not unusual to have people think there's something strange going on."

Not everyone is quick to accept the Air Force's explanation.

"Are you trying to tell us that a retired Air Force colonel doesn't know the difference between flares and lights from a UFO? But the Air Force trusted him enough to fly F-16s, multi-million dollar jets?" asks Jim Chadbourne of Waterford, Conn. "When are the media going to stop listening to the government's crap and report the truth?"

Is a catastrophic earthquake about to occur?

Scientists have alerted British Columbia's emergency-planning department to the possibility of a catastrophic earthquake striking the province's southwest coast this week, according to a Rocky Mountain News story.

Garry Rogers, a seismologist at the Pacific Geoscience Center on Vancouver Island, is quoted in the story as saying, "Everyone drives their car every day, and the probability of getting in a car accident is small. But during rush hour, the probability of getting into an accident is much higher. Well, Vancouver Island is now driving in rush hour."

The threat presently posed to the Pacific Northwest can't be understated if Rogers' theory is accurate as he may be basing his theory on activity taking place along what is referred to as the Cascadia subduction zone.

What could activity in this region bring about? One potential answer is found in a Columbian.com article which predates the Rocky Mountain News article linked above (emphasis added mine to demonstrate corroboration):



Imagine an earthquake strong enough to snap the coastline like a rubber band, and you have an idea of the hazard presented by a "megathrust" earthquake along the 700-mile-long Cascadia subduction zone.

In fact, a portion of that subduction zone is moving right now.

"That's a spooky thing," said Tim Melbourne, an associate professor of geophysics at Central Washington University.
It really is a spooky thing to say the least, especially when one considers that Vancouver and Seattle, both major population centers, could be virtually destroyed as well as other areas of the Pacific Northwest, particularly if a tsunami is generated!

Remember the impact the December 26th, 2005 tsunami had in terms of casualties? Over 300,000 people died in that incident! The earthquake that caused that tsunami event was roughly the equivalent of setting off 32 billion tons of TNT. This one, believe it or not, could be worse.

We could see an earthquake of 9.0 or even greater magnitude if the 700-mile-long Cascadia subduction zone snaps the coastline like a rubber band! If a 10.0 earthquake were to occur, for example, the force would be the equivent of 1 trillion tons of TNT being detonated.

Luke 21:11: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

The threat posed by the Cascadia subduction zone will be in effect until approximately February 16th so, if you live in an area that could be impacted by a major event like this, make sure you have some food, water and other necessary items stored away ---- just in case. What should the rest of us be doing? Praying for the 16th to arrive without incident, for the sake of our brothers and sisters in Christ living in the areas presently in danger at this time.

Report: US ready for Iran strike

Despite repeated denials by the US administration, preparations for a military strike against Iranian nuclear sites are in "advanced" stages, according to informed sources in Washington quoted by The Guardian on Saturday.

According to the London-based Guardian report, the deployment of forces to the Persian Gulf would allow the opening of an Iranian front by the spring, however the sources said an attack would most likely only come next year before US President George W. Bush finishes his term in office.


Putin slams US foreign policy
The sources said Bush had yet to make a final decision on the matter, but Vice-President Dick Cheney and Neo-conservatives, particularly at the Washington-based American Enterprise Institute, were reportedly pushing the need for action against Teheran for continuing to develop their nuclear capabilities.

Iran insists its ambitions to enrich uranium were strictly for peaceful ends. However, Israel remains convinced Iran's belligerent leader President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is seeking a nuclear device to make good on in his vision of the Jewish nation "wiped off the face of the map."

The Bush administration has said the build-up of forces in the gulf were aimed at containing Iran and to force it to agree to diplomatic concessions and ditch efforts to become a nuclear state, which could potentially upset the fragile balance of powers in the volatile region.

The Guardian report comes one day after the new US Defense Secretary Robert Gates reiterated that the US was not planning a strike.

"I don't know how many times the president, secretary [of state Condoleezza] Rice and I have had to repeat that we have no intention of attacking Iran," Gates said.

But Vincent Cannistraro, a Washington-based intelligence analyst quoted by The Guardian, said the assessment of the source in Washington was more accurate. "Planning is going on, in spite of public disavowals by Gates," he said.

"Targets have been selected. For a bombing campaign against nuclear sites, it is quite advanced. The military assets to carry this out are being put in place."

I apologize for having been so quiet the last few weeks. Certainly the escalation of events here has not been equally quiet. The Lord is in the process of re-ordering my life somewhat, and I will explain more in the days ahead.

As I sat down to write an update tonight, I felt instead I would send you Caroline Glicks latest column from the Jerusalem Post. She paints an accurate, and disturbing picture of the present situation. This is exactly the outcome I warned about and anticipated at the end of the last war, and now it is just about upon us.

I will add that there is an interesting twist in matters over the last few days, since Abbas and Haniyeh and Mashaal have met in Mecca and announced their new found unity, they have lost their need to placate the west with demands of recognizing Israel. Why? The Saudi's (George Bush's good friends) have promised them One Billion Dollars to kick off their new strategies, and Vladimir Putin has told the world that the escalation of tensions around the world are the fault of the U.S. The Road Map has been publically scrapped by the Arabs, even though it was the Saudi's who came up with the plan in the first place. The Arabs are no doubt emboldened too by the new face of government taking shape in the U.S.

As I am suffering with a bad case of the flu right now, and it is the middle of the night, I will stop here and give you Caroline Glicks article, along with my usual call for prayer and intercession.

Column One: As we bumble into war

Today Israel's leaders claim that Saudi Arabia is our new best friend. The Wahhabis will protect us from Iran and its proxies they promise. It's difficult to see how this view jibes with reality.

Indeed today, in a manner eerily reminiscent of last spring, we are on the precipice of a new war and our leaders stubbornly reject truth for delusion. Unless they acknowledge reality soon, they will again bar the IDF from fighting effectively, again maneuver us into diplomatic isolation and so again lead Israel to defeat.

With this in mind, it is our duty today to take a hard look at reality.

As they did in the months that preceded the outbreak of their jihad in September 2000, for the past several months the Palestinians have been accelerating their preparations for war. On Monday Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) Director Yuval Diskin revealed some of those preparations.

Diskin said that in 2006, the Palestinians imported 30 tons of explosives into Gaza from Egypt. Hamas has dug 10 tunnels into the western Negev from which it will be able to launch attacks against the IDF or against civilians. The situation along the breached Gaza-Egypt border is even worse. Diskin referred to the weapons and personnel smuggling tunnels there as "one big rabbit warren."

As the Palestinians prepare themselves for battle, this week they invented their justification for attacking the Jews. Just as they did in September 2000, this week Palestinian and Israeli Arab leaders opened their propaganda campaign for war by falsely accusing Israel of conspiring to destroy the mosques on the Temple Mount.

Like its excavation by the Western Wall that has been going on quietly for the past several months, the Israel Antiquities Authority coordinated its salvage dig by the Mughrabi Gate of the Old City with the Islamic Wakf, the Jordanian government and all other relevant authorities before its archeologists began their work this week. Everyone understood that the excavation is being conducted 70 meters away from the Temple Mount and will in no way affect it.

But facts are irrelevant. The Arabs are not interested in the facts. They are interested in war. Sheikh Abdullah Nimer Darwish, the head of the southern branch of the Israeli Islamic movement, made this point clearly Thursday morning when he told Israel Radio that the war will likely begin when the heads of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas and Ismail Haniyeh, return from Mecca. It can be reasonably concluded from Darwish's statement that the Fatah-Hamas unity talks taking place in Mecca have more to do with coordinating the coming jihad than with dividing government ministries in their soon-to-be-formed, Saudi-sponsored terrorist unity government.

However the talks conclude, there is no doubt that the PA is gunning for war with Israel. Palestinian television, which Abbas and Fatah control, has been showing incendiary live and archival footage from the Temple Mount for the past three days. The images are interspersed with speeches by Palestinian and pan-Islamic leaders calling on the Muslim world to protect Al Aksa mosque.

As Israel's leaders praise the Saudis for their role in promoting the peace process, Al-Jazeera satellite network is broadcasting live calls to war to the entire Muslim world live from the Temple Mount. While Al-Jazeera reporters have been kicked out of Algeria, Iraq, Sudan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan for calling for war against anyone who doesn't talk like Osama bin Laden, and even the PA closed its offices twice, the Israeli government apparently has no problem with Al-Jazeera reporters calling the Islamic world to launch a genocidal jihad against the Jewish state from the Temple Mount.

On the Lebanese front, the situation is also frighteningly familiar. Just as last summer the Palestinians and Hizbullah worked in close coordination, so the escalation of hostilities along the border with Lebanon this week shows that their coordination remains high. What is new in the current situation is the hostile role being played by the Lebanese military, and what this role tells us about the nature of the coming war.

Last summer many warned Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni that it would be unwise to allow the Lebanese military to deploy to the border. To the extent those forces participated in the last war, they did so on the side of Hizbullah. Lebanese units directed Hizbullah's missile attack against the INS Hanit. They were similarly involved in identifying targets in northern Israel for Hizbullah's rocket units. Forty percent of the soldiers and officers serving in the Lebanese army are Shi'ite and many of them owe their primary allegiance to Hizbullah.

In spite of these warnings, Olmert and Livni did not merely accept the Lebanese army's deployment along the border. They insisted on it. And Wednesday night, when the Lebanese military attacked IDF units operating within sovereign Israel, those who preached caution were proven right. By insisting that the Lebanese army deploy along the border, Olmert and Livni effectively enabled Hizbullah's reassertion of control over south Lebanon.

It should be recalled that the timing of last summer's war was anything but a coincidence. At the time, Iran ordered Hizbullah to attack Israel two days before the G-8 summit where the world leaders were poised to condemn Iran for refusing to cease its uranium enrichment activities, and a week before the International Atomic Energy Agency was scheduled to refer Iran's nuclear program to the UN Security Council.

So too, today, the escalation of enemy incitement and operations is anything but random. On February 21, IAEA inspectors are scheduled to report to the Security Council that in defiance of Resolution 1737 from two months ago, Iran has not ceased its uranium enrichment activities. In the wake of this report, the sanctions set out in the resolution are supposed to be firmly enforced.

On the Iraqi front, hostilities between the US and Iran escalate daily and signs abound that the much awaited US offensive in Baghdad is about to start. If successful, the offensive will seriously weaken Iranian proxy forces in that country and similarly weaken Iran's influence over the Iraqi government.

All in all, a two-front war against Israel would go a long way towards advancing Iran's interests today.

All of this naturally raises the question: What are Israel's leaders doing as our enemies prepare for war?

While demanding that Olmert order the IAA to stop its salvage dig at the Mughrabi Gate, Defense Minister Amir Peretz is preparing to renew his hostilities against his greatest foes - the Israelis who live in Judea and Samaria. Last week Peretz ordered the IDF to draw up plans to destroy several Israeli communities in the areas. As to the Palestinians, Hizbullah and their state sponsors, Peretz has nothing constructive to say.

For her part, Livni continues to applaud her brilliance in negotiating the cease-fire agreement last summer under which Hizbullah has rearmed and reasserted its control over south Lebanon. Then too, Livni continues to act as the spokeswoman for the Fatah terror organization.

In her joint appearance with British Foreign Minister Margaret Beckett on Tuesday, Livni said that Israel and Fatah (which she refers to as the "moderates in the Palestinian Authority"), "are on the same side."

While repeating her vapid mantra distinguishing "moderates" from "extremists," Wednesday Livni claimed that the incitement surrounding the Temple Mount is being carried out by "irresponsible elements" which include "political groups within Israel and extremist elements outside Israel." As is her practice, Livni ignored the fact that her "moderate" friend Abbas stands at the center of those "extremists" inciting for war.

Finally we have Prime Minister Ehud Olmert himself. In his testimony last week before the Winograd Commission which he appointed to investigate last summer's war, Olmert continued to insist that Israel won. This being the case, we oughtn't be concerned about the defeated Hizbullah.

As to the Palestinians, Olmert is now busily preparing for his February 19 meeting with Abbas, the "moderate" terror master, and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He continues to forbid the IDF from striking the burgeoning terror armies and armories in Gaza and refuses to acknowledge the known fact that Fatah is supported by Iran.

This week Olmert again tried to lull us into complacency about the ayatollahs' nuclear weapons program. Speaking to the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish American Organizations, Olmert enthused that we have ample time to deal with the threat and that anyway, the international community including China and Russia can be counted on to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons through diplomacy.

At this juncture it is worth recalling precisely what was wrong about the Olmert government's handling of the war last summer. While the Winograd Commission writes its report, the citizens of Israel should realize that regardless of what the members of the commission who Olmert appointed say, the war was not merely or mainly a military failure. The central cause of Israel's defeat was the incompetence of our political leaders. Specifically, Olmert and Peretz failed to act to ensure that the IDF achieved the goals they set for it.

Before ordering the IDF to war, Olmert held no discussions regarding the conditions on the ground, and so did not consider whether the war plans he approved were relevant to the achievement of his declared goals.

Olmert and Livni failed to grasp the diplomatic opportunities the war created. Had they been paying attention they would have seen a tangible willingness in Washington to consider a joint Israeli-American strike against the terror headquarters and training bases in Syria that serve not only the Palestinians and Hizbullah, but the insurgents warring against coalition forces in Iraq. The consequences that such a joint operation would have had on both Israeli-US relations and on Syrian-Iranian relations would have changed the face of the region in a dramatic and positive way.

Due to their ignorance of both military and diplomatic affairs, Olmert and colleagues barred the IDF from conquering south Lebanon and so denied the army the only means of achieving the goal of ending the missile attacks on northern Israel and destroying Hizbullah as a fighting force.

When Olmert's, Livni's and Peretz's incompetence last summer is compared to their current behavior, the unavoidable conclusion is that they have learned nothing from their experience and so remain incompetent to contend with the dangers we face today.

And so, as they bumble us into another war while speaking dreamily of their friends in Mecca, at least Olmert, Livni and Peretz cannot say that they weren't warned.

This is not some fancy theory, but a hard fact. 1. October 30, 1991 : The Madrid Conference opens with President Bush pushing Israel to consider a " land for peace" idea. Israel gives away its God-given Land to the Arabs for Peace. ok, by now you should be able to see the connection between America forcing Israel to give up its God-given Hebrew Land and our the Almighty sending Judgement Disasters at the same time. The message for these past 15 years is very clear - don't mess with Israel. Don't give away Hebrew Land to the Muslim Arabs or God will punish you. The latest Judgement on America this past February 2, 2007

during the month of February 2007, once again the American Administration is at it again. During February there will be several high-level meetings in Washington DC to work on - you guessed it , more plans on forcing Israel to give up its Land to the Arabs for a Peace that will never come. There are two plans in the works, one is to have Israel give up the West Bank - its bibical heartland to the Arabs. And the second is to Declare a Arab Palestinian State using half of the land Israel sits on . The next American sponsored meeting will be on February 19, 2007 in Jerusalem. I expect we will see God send Judgement to both America and Israel for continuing these planning meetings to force the Hebrew people to give away their Land to the Arabs

both of these plans are in the advanced stages. And could be acted on in the next couple of weeks. When this happens, as the past 15 years of experience has shown, expect the Judgement hand of God to fall on America once again. Only this time, it will be far worse. Forcing Israel to give up the West Bank is like tearing away the very heart and soul of the State of Israel

The Lord God will send horrific judgement onto this country the likes of which we have never seen before. Genesis 12:3 tells you His covenant promise. Go against Israel, and the God of this Universe will go against you. Just look at the past 15 years of Judgements he has sent, then multiple those three times, and you will get the picture of what Judgements God will send this time if America once again forces Israel to give up its Hebrew Land to the Muslim Arabs

In closing, i believe all we see happening in the world today are final signs that the Savior of the World Jesus Christ is indeed returning very soon. The great escape of all Christian believers in the " rapture flight "will occur very soon. And then the Tribulation Judgements as described in the Book of Revelation will begin. Israel rejects Mecca agreement as out of line with Quartet conditions

Israel on Saturday rejected the Mecca agreement on a Palestinian unity government. It says the accord is not in line with the Quartet of Middle East mediators' conditions - recognition of Israel, renouncing violence, and ratifying past agreements and the road map.
