Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to the forum and a rather new Christian. I have been very upset about people attacking the validity of the bible. And I feel that people are always challenging the bible and whether it is the word of God or not.

My question is how do you handle inquiries from non-believers about the apocryphya and validity of the bible.

People are so determined to discredit the word from our Lord. I still believe that the Bible is written by God. But just would like some input on how other Christians handle these inquiries and what are some good sources with irrefutable information for the bible??

What I have noticed is that NO ONE is badmouthing the K'ran, or ANY other sacred text belonging to any other cult!

The litteral "desperation" with which the Holy Bible is mishandled is in itself a RED FLAG in favor of its authenticity!

This a war, friend, and when a country declares war against another country, the country declaring war does not attack a THIRD COUNTRY, right???

The reason why no other religious text comes under the same scrutiny as the Bible is that Satan (who is really behind these attacks) has the other religions right where he wants them to be... and paving the road to perdition! So why bother the false religions?

If you had been the witness of a murder that involved a highly placed person, and if that highly placed person after a while found out that you knew about her ugly deed, would not that person try to kill you or at least to discredit you?

Since it's all about Jesus and since for obvious reasons Jesus is out of Satan's reach, the Bible IS what is being attacked, and that's why it's being discredited now!

It's very strange that all of a sudden we start hearing about "certain scrolls that have been found" that (of course) discredit the Bible itself!

It seems that the devil (knowing that his time is short), is attacking on all fronts now!

Just look at the Da Vinci Code!

My question is how you handle inquiries from non-believers about the apocrypha and validity of the bible.

I had a pastor, now since passed over. In his walk, he did visit the sick.
He made a statement to congregation that I still recall easily.

I have known many Atheists in my walk, and they all have one thing in common.
As they lay on their death beds…………….. They call on the name of Jesus.

I recently viewed a video………….. One Atheist on his death bed……….said at that moment……………. I did begin to wonder to wonder…….

What if the Bible is true?
What if those people are right?
What if there is a hell?

AS FOR Lost Books Of The Bible?

While the lost books of the Bible may make for good reading and have some truths.
God wrote the Bible ……………. He gave what He wanted you to read and know in His
Word.

There is no place in the bible that says that no other book is to be believed. And no place in the bible does it say that the bible is the only book that can be used for Christianity. The bible does not tell you that people will kill you because of your belief in the bible. The bible has no effect on the existence of God. Your belief has no effect on the existence of God.

The canon is sufficient for anyone to find out where God and Christ are and How to get in touch with them. Salvation is in a Living Lord who is very much alive and here. Not in the pages of any scripture. So if an apocryphal book from somewhere can lead you to find where God and Christ are, then read it. Altho I am doubtful that most will lead you anywhere but into bondage to traditions and rituals. This includes the catholic and Jewish apocryphya, the Acts of Thomas, The lost books of Judas, ecetra.
To make those asking questions or attacking the faith in person understand. It is always helpful if you have the Power of God bearing witness of you. If you don't have the Power of God bearing witness of you, then it is time to ask Him.

well the reason you hear or see people attacking the bible, and not the koran is because you live in a christian part of the world, where most people are christians, and the bible is used alot.



That's funny because other religions are probably saying the same thing about your religion.

when i first heard the gospel preached in the very church i found my self in just out of jail i found it hard part of me wanted what i saw in the men and then another part of me wanted to slowly walk out the door


i have been reading the bible since i have been 18 i am know 40 yrs old the diffrence is i know longer doubt like i use to when i was young but i take on what ever is said as the truth as the truth will set a person free


though when it comes to a skeptical society set in its ways of course you will find it hard and darkness hates light


in the villages jesus found him self in their were sevral skeptics you had the pharisees and the saducess then the common man but jesus was able to change the enviroment he was in and he spoke in authority jesus even delt with the skeptics when ever he was questioned



but with the koran the new age movment the jahov witness and the mormans and the angel worshipers and many other false cults that have set up shop with in our communitys we live in people never question what they hear or read when it comes to these groups

the new age movement has a big group of followers and people take to what the new age movement has to offer i was invited to sit in on a talk on crystals and what crystals can do for a persons soul many of my friends who are non believers have crystals in their homes the person who asked me to come to this session was a good female friend of mine her home was coverd in crystals each crystal had a meaning and purpose my friend is a big follower of the new age movement


but when it come to the bible people will always try to prove its not valid the accounts and the history of jesus are not valid what god did in the old testamont is not valid god could not have created what we see in 6 days people believe in the big bang


right now their is this proffessor testing what moses experianced when god talked to him threw the burning bush this proffesor is not a christian yet he is seen as a wise man and expert in his field i was just listning to this about a month a go on sbs hear in australia a book on mary has been found but it wil never be added to the gospels and right now its been proof tested to see if the writtings in this book are valid


every time a skeptic says something some one finds something to show that jesus did walk this earth his tomb has been found many other things have been found its like god leading people to find what has been burried even know the city of sodom and gomorah has been found but their are a lot of rocks and the city is covered by dirt



the bible is valid we just have so many skeptics

you cant tell me that the muslems faith is as real as ours i have read the koran and what i found its very evil and very twisted it says in the koran that they are to respect other religons if it says this in the koran why is their so much blood shed not only with the koran can i find fault you also have the hindues these people worship a lot of fasle gods and in india alone a community of muslims was killed by sevral indian hindues with in 16hrs men and women and children were killed one man said how proud he felt slashing a womens throat and if he had the chance know and orders were given he would gladly do this all over again

the mormans believe that god came from another planet and that he has an earthly wife and that satan is jesus brother joseph smith has said to his followers both god and jesus spoke to him


the jahova witnesses have their own doctrines and do not hold on to what we believe

i also looked into this false religon as my wife was an x jahova witnesses wanting out


then you have the exclusive brethren and i can go on i do my own leg work with out listning to what the tv has to say or what is said in the news paper i also have muslim friends who are born again christians and these brothers have taught me a lot when it comes to the koran


every time a new cult props up i am having to do re search on this group i work as a goverment foster carer slash mentor and our church offers counsling and support for those who come out of these groups and it takes time patients and love to see a person move forward a lot of these preciouse souls have been wounded and lied to and used

not all mormans believe in polygamy but sevral do and these dirty old men target young women a young boy is seen as a threat and young boys are driven out of their communitys and away from their familys so these dirty old men who call them selves prophets can have these young girls to them selves

and a young girl who is born into a morman family that strongly holds on to joseph smiths teaching can say good by to her youth


i am not silly and i love reading up on these cults you cant tell me mohammed is a true god and what he saw was not false all the koran is is a guide to terroisem


and yes their have been wars in the name of religon and i can also add what the rcc did in the inquasitions were inocent people have been kiled those poor women who were seen as witches and sevral men seen as warlocks were murdered what happend in the salem witch trials that were held by the catholic church put many inocent people to their death but you wil never hear the rcc say sorry for what happend in salem as they see them selves as gods agents on this earth

The Bible is it`s own best witness, for instance; Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalms 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
The Word of God has endured above any other work of antiquity. Penned by over 40 men, over a period of 1500 years, from different walks of life, on three different continents, and in different languages. It still maintains a single thread throughout, that thread is Jesus Christ.
We as believers have no problem with the Bible, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth.
As for an unbeliever, the best thing to do is love them, and pray the Lord will give them the faith they need to be saved, so they to will come to believe that the Bible is truly Gods Word.

I never tried to learn the arguments against the Bible. I look to the Holy Spirit for my guidance and help. People come up with all kinds of things that are against the Bible.

Know the Bible is 100% TRUE FIRST. Stand firm, make sure that you know the Bible and God and stand firm. There are things people ask and say th at conflicts with what we may know. My position has been that though the two things in comparison conflict, I know the Bible is 100% true. There is a reason why two things that are true may seem to conflict, but if whatever is compared to the Bible is true, over time God will show us why the Bible remains true and there is no conflict or still is.

The Holy Spirit may tell you to remain silent on something and have you wait until you speak. What you do is remain steadfast with God's Full Armor and stand firm. Do not get lured from God by taking up all kinds of speculation from either Christians or non-believers.
