There is an ongoing controversy that involves our military Chaplains and their right to pray openly in the name of Jesus. Dr. Kennedy wants to put an end to that; by asking that President Bush to issue an Executive Order allowing Chaplains to pray in Jesus name.

If Pres. Bush were to sign an executive order at the request of fellow soldiers, seeing that he is the Commander-in-Chief, saying that the Chaplains can pray in the name of Jesus would, in effect, take away the separation of church and state. I don't think that he would want to stop this illusion because the illusion has worked so far and football games and graduations and little kids classrooms would be a total disruption if someone were even to mention a Creator, even in passing. The Supreme Court would be backed up for years debating whether the name of Jesus is Jesus or Jesus Christ or just the Christ. I say, let it go; He will not change His name. Oh, by the way, Immanuel is the name of Jesus Christ.
