Yeah, a misread by me; I was so sure that I could find God in this book. I read Esther 9:29 and said aha! Esther was the daughter of Abihail and Mordecai. Nope. Anyway, that had nothing to do with it.

9:29 is written tlike this in KJV.
29 Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim
it's read like this:
29 Then Esther the queen (the daughter of Abihail) and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority
(they both wrote together), to confirm this second letter of Purim.
the family relationship is laid out earlier in Esther 2:
5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite; 6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away. 7
And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai
they were cousins. He took in her cousin.
anyways...not a big deal but I'm just laying this out for others that decide to read this great little book. Nothing personal cuz that'll be silly.
