About a week ago me and my neighbors stayed up watching scary movies and we decided to watch the newest version of the Amityville Horror. I grew up watching horror movies but this movie scared me half to death! I screamed soo loud at the first scary part and was on edge the rest of the movie. I had to sheild my eyes a few times because it was just so blatently gory and ominous; I just felt terrified the entire movie. I have learned alot about evil and what it can do so it was frightening to see it illustrated in such an accepted way. Thankfully it was so late that I fell asleep during the middle of the movie! I don't think my heart could have taken the full weight of that movie.

But the strange thing about that night was that in the movie, the clock was always at the time 3:15. And when we ended the movie, it was 3:15am. Weird, huh? I didn't want to go home and I was going to crash on my neighbor's couch, but I wanted to sleep and they wanted to stay up longer, so I went home hoping my dog would keep me safe. Being quite a paranoid person, I didn't sleep very well! But I made it through the night just fine, praise God's mercy!

I used to love scary movies but recently I just can't take them! I saw Silent Hill and I just thought that movie was waay over the line. It's just crazy how people can be entertained by movies that portray evil! If only they realized..

Jam 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

It is not an act of submission to God to give the devil that kind of attention, even in the arena of thrill seeking. Is that not why we would watch a horror movie? God is on our side (Psalms 118:6) But He does not want His children moving toward the devil, which is what you do when you watch such a movie as that...

Psa 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; (But when is this the case? Going back to verse one of that Psalm...Psa 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Blessing and not cursing be yours from this day forward...

Amen, if you want to watch a movie, please check your spirit. God is faithful.
Movies about the evil one is not for us."Think on things beautiful "but those movies will take your mind down into the pit.

I use to love them, but now the Holy Spirit will not allow me close to them.I use to love getting scared in the security of my movie seat. We have to look after our spirit, the enemy is out there looking for those he can devour.

If your neighbours are not saved, this would be an excellent opportunity to witness to them. I always tell myself people like to be grossed out because they are miserable in life and these horrible movies make them feel good when they see people more miserable than they are, knowing that they CAN LEAVE THE ROOM OR TURN OFF THE TV if they can't take it anymore.

Alas, Hell is another story... Even when the lost realize how wrong they were, there is NO escape! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

Maybe you should ask your neighbours this question!

Hi,

Art imitates life...look around...there are other things to do with
your time. We tempt God with all this ... people make millions of
dollars delivering satanic themes and ideas right into our home...
theater...We are reponsible for what we allow in...and once we
realize that the gates spoken about are ours. Do not allow your
gates to come under attack...eye, ears, mind, spirit, emotions...
see what I mean...

"Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath
done unto thee". Luke 8:39

Blessings,
Signet
