Please pray for my friend's husband who has had a re-occurance of lung cancer. His name is Bill. Bill is a river barge captian, and he will not take time off work to get the necessary treatment. Nancy told me that a while back he had cancer in the lung, and the dr's removed the tumor. The doctor's never did any tpe of treatment for the cancer. He developed a staff infection, that never healed completely from that. Again the doctor's never treated the staff infection. He smokes, and will not quit. Please pray that he quit smoking and that GOD heals him completely of this cancer. She broke her foot a while back and has pins holding her ankle together now. Please pray that she heal's as well. Nancy is a boy scout leader and has done this for over 30 years! So she needs to get hiking feet back in shape! This couple does a lot of community work through thier church. They are both needed to get better so that they can continue to serve the LORD and the community.

News today, Bill's cancer is all over his lungs, ribs, lymph nodes, throat and chest. He has given up smoking and is undergoing chemo treatments. The doctor's give him 6 months to a year to live. Please keep him in your prayers.

Nancy is doing very well the cast is off and she is walking without a walker! Praise the LORD.

I most cetainly will keep them in my prayers....

Nancy stopped by my house this evening. She said that Bill had a PET Scan and they found a less cancer than prevously diagnoised! PRAISE GOD! The cancer is not in the bone as they first thought. He has plursey on one lung, and that fluid is cancer free! Today he had the catharder/stint put into his chest for the Chemo treatments and he will be put into the hospital Tuesday, to begin treatment. The doctor's are more optimistic about his overall success rate now that the PET Scan has reduced the original diagnosis! I know that GOD is healing Bill!

They said for me to thank everyone for praying for both of them. They know that GOD is healing Bill. Please continue to pray for Bill as he goes through these treaments.

Nancy and Bill stopped by this evening. Bill looks bad. He has lost weight and some of his hair. The medications (antibiotics) combined with the Chemo has caused some leasions in Bill's mouth, which makes it difficult for him to eat or swallow, and he is a bit dehydrated. His spirits are high though. Please continue to pray for him as it looks like the staff infection is trying to return once again. It had been cleared up according to the xrays, but his blood work shows he is still battling it.
