Yea it’s like it’s too simple for them! Or maybe human nature kicked in and they feel as if they have to please God somehow to be safe – apart from what He did/does for us. Hey, even our faith is a gift so what the heck are these people talking about?
Our works (Good deeds) are born out of faith because we love God and want to please Him. They add absolutely nothing to the gift, otherwise it would be by works and no longer a gift. If someone thinks that their good deeds are going to get them into God's good graces they should realize that those kind of deeds are but filthy rags to Him! You want to please God - act out of faith! Those are the kind of deeds that honor Him. But remember, they have nothing to do with your salvation. Salvation is a gift - enjoy it and thank God for it.
I don’t know, maybe it’s just too simple for them!
Bottom line of course is that were very, very grateful to God.
More Truth oh God…

That's the amazing thing about believing in Jesus and having eternal life. People think it is SO simple by just believing that He died and was raised again for our sins, that there has to be a catch or we should get some kind of incentive for believing like throwing in a stereo or dvd
player .
God confounds the "wise" professers and scientists etc by making salvation so easy as far as believing that God is who He says He is, that they overlook it and try to "explain" it and they must have God come down in front of them for them to believe.
Sad really. Unfortunate. Even Biblically if an angel appeared to them and said Jesus is Lord, they still would need proof or try to explain it away. This I believe God knows.
