In another forum, double_j asked some questions.

Here is my reply:

Dear double_j,

I unexpectedly had some extra time today. I will give you some resources that answer your question.

Here are some answers to your questions:

Q1. If Jesus Died for our sins, and the bible says that all we have to do to be forgiven is accept Jesus in our hearts and repent for our sins, then that should mean that no matter what we do, we will still go to heaven, right? After all, if I kill 300 people, I am sure that I will be sorry, and because I have taken Jesus as my savior, It will all be ok in the end and I will go to heaven for following the rules, correct?

I do not believe in the doctrine of "Once saved, always saved."

Q2. As I was reading something someone wrote, I thought I would ask about it as well. If God says that you should only worship Him, and no other god, then does that mean that there are many Gods out there? After all, if you interpret the law as it is written, then there is no argument against this, it holds true. So there is a possibility of there being more than one kingdom, and if you worship another god, then you may go to another heaven, not God's hell. Maybe the olympians and the norse gods and the pagan gods were all real and were just won out by our God. So what argument is there against the existance of other gods?

In summary, the answer is that the "gods" were false gods. I believe some of them may have been demons but that is just a guess.

Q3. last question for now, but the most important. Why is there such emphasis on Jesus being the direct son of God? why is it incorrect for someone to just believe Jesus is the savior, without the direct devine lineage? If you believe in Jesus as the savior, then you should be just as saved as another who takes it an extra questionable step of devine lineage, right?

Jesus was God manifestingly himself in the flesh. One of Jesus's titles was the "Son of God". The Son was always in existence because God is eternal.

Please see this verse which will clear up a misunderstanding you may have that I once was not totally clear about:

http://abrahamic-faith.com/Jesus-son-of-God.html

Now if Jesus was God (and He was as can be seen here: http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-t005.html and http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/jesusgd2.htm and ) then Jesus's death and sacrifice on the cross was a perfect sacrifice given the Bible teaching that God is perfect. God's holiness demanded that a perfect sacrifice was to be given in order to gain our salvation. In short, God paid the price of our salvation through his grueling death by crucifixion (even though Jesus led a perfect life and did not deserve to be crucified).

I am guessing you might have some questions regarding the doctrine of the trinity so I provide this resource:
