A couple of weeks ago, another forum member had a God-inspired dream. Adonaicole's dream
The dream was incredible and an instruction to us all. LET US HEED THE INSTRUCTION.

I am troubled by some of the language in current threads (as often civil debates turn into heated arguements and hurt feelings). I admit that I have fallen into this trap of the enemy here. It is my very nature to want the last word and to prove what "I" say as correct.

Going back to this dream, I hear Jesus telling me to plug holes. I want to please Him.

How do we do that? I hope I am not stepping over authority here, but I want to brainstorm with all of you.

How do we gently remind others and myself (in a non-condecending way) that perhaps they are trying to win an arguement rather than participate in great edifying fellowship???

We are supposed to be known by our love for each other.

How can we plug holes guys? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you have asked a question of how to love and there are a multitude of answers

i desire to speak with others as though i was speaking to myself, when i need to be corrected i would much rather be spoken to as graceously and loving as possible and it is always best to wait untill the Holy Spirit to show you how and what to say

if i cant be peaceable i will say nothing at all i take a step back to take the heat out of the situation, if we let it bring us to a fight we all lose and no one wins

consider your vision in both your eyes what can be seen by your left eye to it most left and the right eye to its most right

our eyes almost see in oposit directions so what each eye sees at its exstreem can never agree it needs the understanding of all of what both eyes see to be reconciled in there place

we are getting better at loving every day by Gods Grace

much love to you sister

Well said Gary... 1dsz5h3.gif

I often see quarrels, where the quarrel itself becomes a bigger issue than the minor point in dispute, in that case, everyone loses. It's hard to do but we always need to put ourselves in the other persons shoes and coat all our answers with love for one another.

"They will know we are Christians by our love." I see that happening more and more on this forum, where people are encouraging each other and lifting up each other in prayer.

One man praying alone can be very powerful, a group of believers praying together, can be a tidal wave.

Your brother in Christ,

Don
