Someone dear to me asked if I would ask about something numeric in the bible. Since my last knowledge is in the area of numbers....I have to ask anyone who is more knowledgeable than me... blush.gif

Okay, here is what she asked me....Why in the days when Jesus was sitting cooking fish on the shore with His disicples after He was Risen...why mention the number of fish they cooked which is 153? Is there significance to that number if so, why? Anyone? your wondering sis, hannah smile.gif

BTW, now I am wondering "why" mention the number of fish they ate! blink.gif

Thanks Gary,

I'll be looking forward to the mavens on the board to give me "the really good answer", I will praying to find out now! Now, I am more curious than ever! blush.gif Well, I am learning to be patient, so I will just wait for someone with a math brain to help me out here. I can't even begin to understand the "bible codes" and numerics in the bible...my brain just does this... blink.gif So, I be waiting for someone to help me out! Love to you to bro, hannah smile.gif

This is a piece I found written about the significance of 153 fish.

http://www.scripturessay.com/q416a.html

(153 Fish, p.1)

I believe numbers sometimes have symbolic meanings, not only in Revelation, but throughout scripture as well. For example: In Matt. 18:22, Jesus tells Peter to forgive someone 70 times 7 times. We know this does not mean that we are to keep count and quit forgiving at 490 times. It means we are to keep on forgiving no matter how many times it may take. In olden times numbers were used symbolically. We still do this some today. For instance the number 13 immediately brings to mind things of superstition or bad luck. To those people the number 7 symbolically represented divine or spiritual completeness. The number 10 represented human completeness. If someone has all their fingers and toes intact, they are complete. In the OT there were 10 plagues. Those were literal, physical plagues sent against Egypt. In Revelation there are 7 last plagues. Those are spiritual plagues, or plagues that affect the spiritual life of man. With that in mind the numbers 70 times 7 uses the 7 for spiritual completeness and 10 for human completeness to show that we are to practice complete forgiveness. We should never cease to forgive. Ok, now to the number 153. Believe it or not, this has to do with the symbolic use of the number 3 in scripture. Three is the number which is used to represent things which are "spiritual" in nature. That is in contrast to the number 4 which represents things which are "physical" in nature. For example there are 4 directions on this earth. We speak of the 4 corners of the earth even though it is round. The children of Israel wandered in the wilderness 40 years. 4 = physical and 10 = complete. 4x10 = 40 It was a complete physical trial for those people. The same with Jesus as he fasted 40 days. It was a complete physical trial for Him. He was then tempted 3 times to see if he would succumb "spiritually" to the temptations of the Devil. (I hope some of this is making sense.) So, the number 3 has to do with the spiritual nature of Jesus. Think of all the events in the life of Christ which took place in series of 3's or dealt with the number 3 in some way. Here are just a few to illustrate. I'm sure you know them even better than me, but I might include a couple you just hadn't thought about in this manner.

(153 Fish, p.2)

Godhead composed of 3 beings
Jesus rose from the grave the 3rd. day
Prayed 3 times in the garden
Crucified the 3rd hour of the day
3 hours of darkness - from the 6th hour of the day to the 9th hour
On the cross 6 hours... 2x3
died about the ninth hour of the day.... 3x3
3 were crucified
Jesus' lived about 33 years .... some say 331/3
His ministry was approximately 3 years in length
And many more....... you fill in the rest

This should be enough to illustrate that many things in the life of Jesus took place in series of 3's or dealt some way with the number 3.

Now the number 153 is an interesting number in several ways.... some of which deal with the number 3. Now remember in all of this that the number 3 is closely associate with the life of Christ and represent things of a spiritual nature. I don't want you to think I figured all this out about the number 153, but when I was doing my research on numbers in Revelation I ran across some very interesting facts about the number 153. Now, mathematicians are interested in numbers and not scripture. I was interested in Scripture and how the mathematics fit in, so I put 2 and 2 together and hopeful came out with 4.... or something like that. We'll begin with some of the simple things and work up to the more difficult.

Add the digits of 153: 1+5+3= 9 which is 3x3 or 3 sets of 3

Again, in olden times people dealt with numbers somewhat differently than we do today. 153 is what was called a "triangular" number. They formed shapes or patterns by arranging dots to represent the number. To be a triangular number, the pattern of dots would form a triangle with the same number of dots on each side of the triangle. The number 3 would be the first triangular number... 2 dots below 1 dot. Add another row of 3 dots below the 2 dots and you have the next triangular number .. 6. The number 153 is the sixteenth triangular number. It would have 17 dots on each side of the triangle. When you have about 3 hours of spare time, try drawing that and making it look good. So, the number 153 can be expressed as a triangle which, obviously, has 3 sides and is therefore closely associated with the number 3.

Next: If you sum the cube of the digits in 153, you always get 153. That is the only number in the entire numbering system which will do that... and it is done by cubing the digits, which is once again the use of the number three... multiplying the digit by itself three times. I can't make superscripts in this program so I'll just represent the cube of a digit in this manner..... (1x1x1). Ok, we take the sum of the cube of the digits of 153 ... (1x1x1) + (5x5x5) + (3x3x3) = 153 or 1 + 125 + 27 = 153. Again the number 153 has extraordinary properties dealing with the number 3.

Now for the big finale:
The number 153 can be found in any "third" number in the entire numbering system. all right here is how this works... pay close attention. Take any 3rd. number... 3,6,9,12,15,18....etc. (you get the idea) or any number divisible by 3, and do the same thing as we did above.... find the sum of the cube of the digits. You will have to repeat the calculation several times, but the final answer to these calculations will always be 153. I'll do a simple one and you can get pencil, paper, and calculator out and try as many as you want... or you can trust me that the answer will always be 153.

(153 Fish, p.3)

Lets take the number 27:
(2x2x2) + (7x7x7) = 8 + 343 = 351 (now take that answer (351) and do the calculation again) 351 (3x3x3) + (5x5x5) + (1x1x1) = 27 + 125 + 1 = 153
(The final answer will always be 153)

Obviously, for some numbers this calculation might have to be repeated many, many times, but the final answer will always be 153.

Now lets put all of this together. The number 3 is symbolic of spiritual things. Many of the events in the life of Christ took place in series of 3's. So, when Jesus went fishing, he caught the number of fish (153) which can be found in any third number in the entire numbering system. What an appropriate number of fish to catch. Was this an accident? I seriously doubt it. Am I sure this is why he caught 153 fish? No. But, the number was recorded for some reason and this explanation follows precisely what we know about scripture and use of numbers. I'll let you decide what you think.

hannah,
Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding through the Living Word.

When I first got saved I read the account of the 153 fishes in the net which
were large but the net didn't break in John 21. I knew there had to be some special
significance to the exact number of 153 but I didn't have a clue. As with many other
scriptures that I didn't understand I asked the Lord to reveal to me the truth
according to his will.

What I will tell you now is that the 153 fishes in the net signifies all the redeemed.

I'll write more later.

Peace, Tom

Hannah,
Senteamie3 posted about the same #. I printed just now and asked him for
clarification on 153 symbolic days, and symbolic Easter? Thought this would
be helpful to you. 153 fish/153 symbolic days ?

I saw you post the other day and I was tracking back something I had posted and found this, right on time, sis!

Tomcat,

Please write some more...I was reading about this same 153 in the
material that Senteame3 posted regarding tribulation timeline...
it is very interesting and I am wondering how this two will correlate?

I have asked S3 also for more, please!

Hello Hannah,

The "sign in the net" has been a subject of great interest for me for over 20 years. That this number 153 has some spiritual significance is denied by none. God definitely has a special PURPOSE for this number.

Professor JA Emerton does not exclude that the solving of this number may be by the use of gematria as is the numbering of the beast . Rev 13:18.

Gematria is where an alphabet LETTER has a NUMBER value. If this was applied to our 26 alphabet letters wherein A=1 ... Z=26 the phrase "number letter" would sum at:

NUMBER LETTER = 153

"Roman numbers" are a form of gematria ... IVXLCD sum at 666.

ROMAN NUMBERS = 153

Augustine noted that the sum of our numbers 1 to 17 sum at ... 153

Augustine did not note this, but our numbers 1 to 26 sum at ... 351

If you "cast your eyes" at this number from the same side that Jesus instructed the net be cast, you will see ... 351 ... 153

The Book of John has been called the "Book of Signs". Please read all of chapter 21 ... there are several prophetic "signs" there.

Note that the sea is designated by its ROMAN name ... Sea of Tiberius, not the Sea of Galilee.

Note also that Jesus did NOT specify anyone, but that it is Peter that does the "counting".
As you know, "Peter" is the representative of the future papacy, ie the "Church of Peter".

The word "peter" implies to "count or calculate". Small stones were used for that purpose.

The main character in this chapter is not Jesus nor John, but ... Peter.
Jesus only called one man "Satan" ... guess who?

In time, I will post more on this subject, likely in the "Bible Numbers" section.
I close with one more "coincidence".

Saul was "changed" to Paul but Peter was ... "added"

SIMON "AND" PETER = 153

Jesus said in this chapter that Peter's death in his old age would glorify God. Scholars are divided as to whether this means Peter's actual death, or to the Church of Peter in the last days.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

The real Peter and the real Mary would be in shock to see how that church has "girded" them and carried them where they surely would not have gone ... some of its followers even bowing down and kissing the foot of a life sized bronze image of "Peter" located in the Vatican.

This spake he, signifying by what death he (Peter) should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

It is my personal belief that when God destroys Mystery Babylon, described in Rev 18 ... ie Vatican City, then God will be glorified.

Calvin,

Thank you! Quick share because this is where the subject is, ok?

I had a dreamlet last night. My clothes were hanging on the right
side. Then I saw a water pipe. I had to hang my clothes on the other
side, the left side. When I finished it I saw a wall that was going to
be built. I had to hang my clothes on the right side again.

When I looked at this, since I had posed questions on the correlation
of 153 in John and 153 symbolic days, I could see this...
right to left
left to right
right to left

and it came to me we read from left to right, and in Hebrew from
right to left...then I thought about Shekels Mirror post. I wrote it
down as...but we read left to write/right! Now, as you say about the
gematria.

So, I am very interested in learning more. I know that this number 153
is a UNIQUE number. I am wondering why it is in that particular
place in the Bible. I saw an article that talked about the thirds (xxx)+(xxx)+(xxx)+ =153. It is a geometric construct, such is language...and I am amazed, wondering about the significance of its properties and
dimensions. What would it look like? What does it represent? Very exciting!

Wrote a book on the number 153! So many things to say!153 prefigures the pre-counted, predetermined, predestined born again christians who will be raptured.
Notice the net DOESN'T brake, despite the many fish! Bet the apostles never saw so many fish!

Notice they got so many because Jesus told them to cast the net on the RIGHT side, a reference to a time when Jesus sorts the sheep on His right side, and the goats on His left...

OBEDIENCE is the key!
+ Faith!

The apostles were common fishermen. I bet by living around the Tiberias lake, they all more or less knew how to fish/had fished themselves.

Jesus is a fisher of men!
Notice when Jesus feeds the multitude, along with FISH is BREAD. We are all born sinners, yet we have the power, once born again, to keep on FISHING on behalf of Jesus Christ. Notice the Bread, a reference to the Bible, word of God, spiritual BREAD necessary in order to grow spiritually.

Just as the fish multiplies itself, through each new convert, the "FISH TO BE RAPTURED" multiplies itself too; it's the same for the BREAD; it spreads itself (=the word of God) with each new convert.

There are 153 different species of fish!
The book of Revelation mentions people standing under God's throne, OF EVERY TRIBE, TONGUE AND NATION!

The born again will be taken from everywhere!
Notice the code:

"LE LIVRE DE L'AGNEAU" (The Book of the Lamb) = 153

(*)"L'art Gothique" (Gothic art) = 153
(*)"Le Grand Architecte" (The Great Architecte) = 153
(*)"La foi des saints" (The faith of the saints) = 153
(*)La Bible des saints" (The Bible of the saints) = 153
(*)"La demeure céleste" (the celestial home) = 153
(*)"la demeure du père"(The home of the Father) = 153
(*)"la maison du Père" (The house of the Father) = 153
(*)"La maison céleste" (The celestial house) = 153
(*)"La fidélité de L'Agneau" (The fidelity of the Lamb) = 153
(*)"La reconnaissance" (Thankfullness) = 153
(*)"Les tables de la Loi" (The tables of the Law) = 153
(*)"Le bois de la croix" (The wood of the cross) = 153
(*)"le Dieu suprême" (The supreme God) = 153
(*)"La jalousie de Dieu" (God's jealousy) = 153
(*)"Le saint sacerdoce" (The holy sacerdoce) = 153
(*)"Le maître du Sabbat" (The master of the sabbat) = 153
(*)"Les Israélites" (The Israelites) = 153
(*)"La nation Juive" (The Jewish nation) = 153
(*)"L'Arche du Tabernacle" (The ark of the Tabernacle) = 153
(*)"La vigne de Jésus" (The vine of Jesus) = 153
(*)"L'ombre de la mort" (The shadow of death) = 153
(*)"La coupe de la colère" (The cup of wrath) = 153
(*)"Irrémé diable ment" (Inescapably)= 153 (There is a play of words here: [irreme] diable (devil) ment (lies)

Each code complement each other and confirms what the Bible says.

This is glorious!

Would you please write C'est 42 in French.

I see a tie from the wave said 3 lines of Hebrew and C'est 42
to the 153 that is incredible in light of reading your post, and others.

Also, is there some pun or riddle that would come out of the French
language when saying it...

Please, did you write a book? Or is one out there?

And do you have 1942 French history, or events?

Statue of Liberty, the "lady", a witness of the Twin Towers, so to speak, a gift from the French, much earlier? Comments? The moment that
defined the way we see our world...the end of the age of innocense...

Beautiful! that's deep water my friend...

Signet

Sentiami3, good finds. Our Great God is definitely not restricted to one language.

Hannah,

No proplem in sharing that with your friend. I have written a booklet on some end time subjects that I was going to have published, but have decided to post my findings on a website ... fairly soon I hope.

Signet ... a good observation about Hebrew written from the "right" side ... this being the same side Jesus instructed the net be cast.

If you look at Revelation 5:1, it speaks about a book written within and on the "backside" sealed with seven seals.

The Greek indicates "reverse" rather than backside.

Today they speak of the right side of a boat as the starboard side, but old English sailors called it
... "the starbard side".

THE STARBARD SIDE = 153

PS I edited my post. It originally said "that Peter's death would glorify God". I should have said "in Peter's old age his death would glorify God."

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. John 21:18.

This is why some scholars believe this refers to the Church of Peter in the last days. The real Peter and the real Mary would be in shock to see how that church has "girded" them, and carried them where they surely would not have gone... some of its followers even bowing down and kissing the foot of a life sized bronze image of "Peter" located in the Vatican.

Signet,
One other thing to consider is right is considered spiritual side and left is the physical side. If you ever noticed in the bible while reading YHVH's right hand is s for protection. The left is for punishment.

As you can probably tell I am extremely visual...

Hannah,

At Passover I had a dream that I entitled Paradise Lost & Found. I now feel
led to share it since you said the same thing.

In my dream a man came to see me. He is Jewish. He brings a gift for
my mother, I didn't want him to open it up. He smiles and goes to give her
the gift. He says it is a dictionary, however I know that it is Milton's work,
Paradise Lost and Found! He returns to me and I notice he is wearing a
white robe and sunglasses and his face is glowing like from being in the sun.
He looks beautiful. I look down and I am wearing a white robe, too. I am so happy when I wake up. It speaks to me of the beauty of Salvation/Yeshua.

This symbol, called the vesica pisces (piscis) or "Jesus fish," has an unusual history. Used almost exclusively today to denote membership in the Christian religion, the symbol once held a very different meaning (even to the early Christians who adopted it). The words usually found inscribed within, IXOYE (Ichthus), is Greek, meaning fish. The emblem became significant to Christians after St. Augustine, who extracted the word from the acrostic prophecy* of the Erythraean Sibyl, and applied the kabbalistic technique of notarikon to the word to reveal "Jesus Christ, God's son, savior." The custom of early Christians to communicate by drawing a portion in the dust was carried over from the practice of the ancient Pythagoreans, who discovered the shape's unique properties and made it an important part of their teachings.

In Pagan times, this glyph was associated with the Goddess Venus, and represented female genitalia. Early depictions of Christ depict him as an infant within the vesica (usually called a mandorla, meaning 'almond shaped.'), which represented the womb of Mary (and often, the coming together of heaven and earth in the body of jesus- part man, part god). As such, it is also a doorway or portal between worlds, and symbolizes the intersection between the heaven and the material plane. The shape of arches in gothic architecture is based on the vesica.

The shape of the vesica pisces is derived from the intersection of two circles, the Pythagorean "measure of the fish" that was a mystical symbol of the intersection of the world of the divine with the world of matter and the beginning of creation. To the Pythagoreans, the whole of creation was based on number, and by studying the properties of number, they believed one could achieve spiritual liberation. The vesica pisces was the symbol of the first manifestation, the dyad (reflection) that gives birth to the entire manifest universe. Within the vesica can be found the triangle, the tetrad, the square, the pentacle, and many more polygons, making the vesica a true symbolic womb.

Curiously, the New Testament story of the loaves and fishes secretly reveals the geometric formula for the fish shaped device, as does the story of the miraculous catch: "Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. (John 21:11) " This is little remarked upon by Bible scholars and usually ignored by Christian bible interpreters.

Hey Bob! How r ya?
If you really think about it and think about what Enoch could signify, I think Enoch was the instructions on how the universe was put together.
God took Enoch because he was not. What happened? Wars, rumors of wars, pestilence, famine, etc. until the time was full and Jesus Christ brought life. Now we can enter the womb a second time and be born again.
See the blog on the fish and what it means.

it is very interesting and I am wondering how this two will correlate?

I have asked S3 also for more, please!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding to all that Love and seek Truth.

Praise, Honor, Wisdom, Power, Glory, and Thanksgiving be unto the ONE and
only Jahshua Ha Mashiach. He alone is worthy.

Signet..
I'm sorry it's taken me this long to get back here to post properly concerning the
number 153 in respect to the 153 fishes in the net that didn't break.
I've noticed that alot has already been said in conjecture about the meaning of that
specific number of fishes being in the net. What I am about to post has nothing to do with conjecture or "it could mean this or that". This post will be long but in the end you will ...God willing... have guidance in it's meaning from the very source Himself,
the Living Word of God.

I need to give you some back ground before getting into it. I will try and be as brief as possible but as concise at the same time.
People that are familiar with me on this forum know a couple of things.
1. I look only to the author and finisher of my Faith for Truth. I don't go to web sites,
read books other than the bible(except two), or rely on the teachings of man in
church services for my beliefs. Truth is my addiction and with the wonderful provision
through the blood of the everlasting covenant I can and do get the exact Truth I need
by the Holy Spirit in the Word of God. That alone will make one fruitful. I sure don't need to have any of my meditations rooted in hearsay or conjecture so I stay away
from most threads where useless chatter, and flattery abounds.
2. I try to limit my postings to bearing witness of the Truth for the edification of the body of Christ. Every idle word we will have to give an account for.

So, what I am about to share with you all is not conjecture or hearsay. That which is of God is of God. That which is not of God is not. There is no in between. This is of
God.

Shortly after I was saved in 1977 I came across the story in John 21. When I read verse 11 I saw that the exact number of 153 fishes were in the net. I knew that God's
Word was perfect and so the number 153 had to be significant but I didn't have a clue
as to why. As with anything in scripture that I don't understand I gave it right back to the Lord in prayer. Show me what this means if it be your will. About a year later my
closest friend and brother in the Lord told me about a book that was out. He knew I
didn't read anything else but the Bible but he encouraged me to read this book. As my close trusted friend I took his advice and purchased a copy. Since I have been
saved there are only two other books I've read beside the Bible. The Bible Code by
Michael Drosnin and the book I'm about to share with you. As most people know there have been errant things written in the Bible Code and not all codes can be trusted.
As a side note..if it wasn't for my interest in Bible codes I wouldn't be typing
to you right now. Shekel's work is marvelous and the codes he has presented cannot be refuted. Truly God's hand is upon him.

When it comes to numbers and mathematics I am inept to say least. I got more failures in math. courses in high school (and still graduated blink.gif ) than any other person you'll ever meet. The truth and book that I'm about to share with you is all
numbers. God's numbers. Even though it envolves mathematics it has been very easy for me to grasp therefore it should be a breeze for anyone else. The truths that
are presented cannot be refuted.
Just like the Bible codes uses the exact Hebrew and Greek texts so does this book.
Before I had purchased this book Jahshua had shown me many truths in the scriptures that went against what was(and still is) being taught in mainstream non-
denominational Christianity. Although there are many there is one revelation in
particular that the Holy Spirit showed me that goes against the way that every church
I know of teaches it. God willing, I'll share that another time. Well, to my utter amazement when I read this book God confirmed for me what He had taught me in
that doctrine and numerous others. You'll see how He did it when I explain how it all
is written.
One last thing before continuing. Since this is the inerrant perfect Word of God it
still has to be taken by Faith. The Word of God is God. It proceeded forth from the
Father and it is known as the Son. No man comes unto the Son except the Father draw him. Whoever has the Son has the Father. They are one. True believers all have one thing in common. They love the Truth. biggrin.gif

First I'll explain how God has written His Word so you can understand how He can
reveal truth in a mathematical way.
The finder and author of the book(he now has three) is Del Washburn and he has
called God's mathematics in the Bible, Theomatics.
The Bible is written in Hebrew and Greek. In both of those languages there is no
numerical system as we have. We have a full alphabet and then we have a numerical
system. In the Hebrew and Greek the letters in there alphabets have numerical values. Since I don't have a key board that can type Hebrew or Greek I'll use the
Roman numeral system so you can understand.
Most of us are familiar with Roman numerals. I=1, V=5, X=10, C=100, M=1000, etc...
Now lets say that was Greek and IVXCM spelled Jesus. You add up the values of each
letter and the word has a 'Theomatic' value of 1,116. Of course that's not Jesus' real
Theomatic value. His real Theomatic value is 888. or 111 X 8, or 37 X 8 X 3
You will have to buy the book in order to fully understand the meanings of the values
and how they're tied together. I strongly suggest purchasing the book which is now on their web site (Theomatics.com) as Theomatics II.

How our incredible worthy to be praised heavenly Father has written His Word in such
a way that different names, titles, thought's, principals, concepts, and truths all have
Theomatic values is totally divine.

Now, this book covers just a drop in the bucket compared to what is hidden in the
scriptures numerically but it presents the Rock solid facts that can't be refuted.
Just as an example I'll point out something that just recently happened on this forum to me. Before I had ever read this book I could see in scripture that there would be no pre-trib. rapture and that the 144,000(s) that is written about in Revelation was
us. The body of Christ, the bride, the church, the redeemed, the chosen, the faithful,
etc... Of course that line of thought goes against most people in the churches today.
There have been numerous interpretations concerning the 144,000(s).
I posted that I was one of the 144,000(s) and one particular person responded with a
bunch of churchy garbage that he had heard and pretty much tried to make me look like an idiot for believing what I KNOW to be true. We must all be careful of our judgments and the messages we post. I've been trying to gather my thought's on how to inform him of his error in a loving way. Maybe he'll read this post and do some Truth seeking before spouting off in the future.
To give you an idea..this book has 13 pages dealing with the Theomatic value of 153
and has 42 pages concerning the Theomatic value of 144. It clearly shows without
leaving any possibility for question that all of the redeemed are the 144,000(s) and
not just some special group of Jews that get miraculously saved after the bride has
departed in rapture. We are the Jews. We are Israel. We are God's people.
I do plan on posting back to him with the scriptures that will show his error but will he
have ears to hear, and eyes to see? Does he LOVE the Truth enough to accept it? Will he have the humility to confess his error that he can be healed? I hope so. Time will tell.
God clearly shows spiritual truth mathematically with Theomatics . He is so merciful.

I'm going to quote word for word a portion of the book in introducing the Theomatic
structure around the 153 Fishes in the net. I don't want to violate any copyright laws
so I'll also give the book another plug before I do. BUY IT!!!!
Quote..
One of the most fascinating passages of Scripture is John 21:11, wherein the disciples
go fishing, and
"Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not being torn."
This number 153 has taxed the ingenuity and minds of some of the greatest Bible
students over the centuries. All have felt that there must be something deeply significant and important about this number. Why would the number of fishes caught
be such a strange number? Why not a nice even number, like 100 or 150. Many
comentators have seen in this number some reference to the saved as being of a definite and particular number, even down to the last one; thus, they make up not a
large round number but a smaller and odd number---153.
Theomatics will bring out many spiritual truths concerning this passage of Scripture. In the last chapter, we saw how 888 was a key number on which many different references to Christ were structured. The exciting thing you are about to discover is that many times the key numbers are given right in the text. In fact,
every single number in the Bible is part of the overall theomatic design on which God has built His Word. This will then prove the numbers we are using, are not those we thought up ourselves, but those placed right in the text by God Himself. It's as if God
were to say: Here's the number to use. The story of the 153 fishes will bring this truth out perfectly.

End of quote from the book....

The following are examples. The Bible verse and then the verse and then the theomatic value of the word or verse quoted.

John 21:11 Draw the net to land full of great fishes,
a hundred and fifty-three 153 X 54

Luke 9:13 Fishes 153 X 8 (1,224)

John 21:11 The net 153 X 8 (1,224)

Mat.4:18 Casting a net into the sea 153 X 20

Mat.4:18 For they were fishermen 153 X 4

John 21:6 Cast the net on the right side of the ship
and ye shall find 153 X 27

John 21:6 And they were not able to haul it in because
of the multitude of fishes 153 X 47

Luke 5:6 Multitude of fishes 153 x 16 (1,224)

Mat.8:34 Follow me 153 x 12

Mark 1:17 Fishers of men 153 x 14

Mark 1:18 And immediately leaving the nets, they followed Him 153 X 36

John 14:6 I am the way 153 X 8 (1,224)

John 14:6 Way, Truth, Life 153 X 8 (1,224)

John 10:7 I say unto you that I am the door of the sheep 153 X 37

John 10:1 Enter by the door into the sheepfold 153 X 41

Luke 13:25 The door 153 X 6

Mat.7:13 The narrow gate 153 X 13

The chapter goes on...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The book I have is out of print but if you go to the Theomatics.com web site you will
find the book I have listed as Theomatics II.
The web site also explains the theomatic structure and has 4 different examples
that you can click on. Just reading what's on the web site is very enlightening.

This is probably the only web site that you will ever see me steer people to. God wants us alone in His Word so He can speak personally with us. God wants to hear,
"Look what Jesus/Jahshua taught me" not "Look at what Billy Graham or Ray Comfort or Bubba Chuck Fred taught me".
People that seek to enter in another way that has been provided are considered theifs and robbers. If you can't hear God's voice then repent. If you can then there
is no need to get your daily bread from anyone else but Him alone.

There are many wonderful Truths in the 21st chapter of John that it would take years
of research with theomatics to uncover what the Holy Spirit wants to teach now. Have Faith in God. Go before the throne of grace with boldness.

There were times as I read this book that I literally cried. After the all the persecution that I had gone through from fellow believers while proclaiming the Truth's that God had shown me; and being mocked, ridiculed, and kicked out of two churches; God
placed this book in my hands which clearly shows what He had revealed to me was
perfect Truth. Praise His Name. The Word of God.

The reason that I do not often speak of this book is because I don't want to take
peoples time away from their devotions alone with our Father in His Word. He wants
to build His kingdom in our hearts by the Holy Spirit through His Word.

To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty,
dominion and power, both now and ever.

Peace and much Agape to you all, Tom

Dear Household of God 144 X 18 biggrin.gif
Meat in due season to all doers in the Word of Life.

Let God arise and His enemies be scattered. Let the voice of the flock be one; fitly
joined together in Love; and praise the Father who has redeemed us from our sins
through the sacrifice of His Word.

In my post above concerning the number 153 I mentioned that the hundred and
forty-four thousands from the book of the Revelation was also written about. Where
there is only 13 pages concerning the number 153; there is 42 pages of scriptures
that that shed light on who the 144,000s are.
Once again, I don't want to post too much. Del Washburn has invested his time and money into this research and interested people should buy his book(s). His web
site is at Theomatics.com

Here is a portion...not word for word...of his findings. Remember that the design
which mathematically ties scriptual themes, principals, and truths together is fully
put there by God and cannot be refuted.
Praise be to His Name. (Rev.19:13)

A brief explaination of theomatics is in my above post but a much more thorough
explaination is given at the theomatics web site.

Also, many of the scriptures that I'm posting are out of the book of the Revelation
but the '144' theomatic design is laced through many other books as well. Some of
which I have listed toward the bottom.

The 144 thousands in Revelations 14 as revealed in Theomatics.

In the original Greek of the papyrus and in all other Greek texts of this passage, the number is
not 144,000, as it has been popularly supposed. Instead it is the 144 thousands. The difference
between these two is all the difference in the world. The Greek word for 'thousands' is not singular
but plural. Translators have simply assumed that it was singular in meaning, because this was the only interpretation that made sense--at that time. But in the Greek in the New Testament the number is not 144,000, but rather 144 thousands.
Here is the difference between the two. Since the number 12 is the number of all the chosen, 144 is simply an amplification of that number, because 144 is 12 X 12. So 144 is even more emphatically the number of the chosen, and it is followed by the word 'thousands'. Thousands of what? Of the 144 !
And what is the 144? It is a sybolic number of all the redeemed, the elect, the bride of the lamb, the body of Christ the church-- in short all those who have put their trust in Jesus.
This truth is further confirmed by the fact that the word thousands by itself has a theomatic value of 144 X 6. This definitely indicates that the thousands referred to here are thousands of 144, which is the number of all the redeemed.
Also, in Revelation chapter 7:4 where John describes the number having been sealed as 144 thousands out of every tribe of the sons of Israel. Each of the tribes are then named, with twelve thousands being sealed from each one. Here again the Greek word for thousands is in the plural and not the singular.

Below are just a few other scripture portions that have 144 as a theomatic value which is how God mathematically wrote His word confirming and connecting it's truths with 'theomatic' values.

There are another 15 pages of examples of the 144 theomatic design bringing light to the scriptures.

I have placed in bold print some of the features that clearly tie the whole body of
Christ into the 144,000s as the redeemed of the Lord through Jesus.
Many have been falsely teaching for years that the 144,000s written about in the
book of Revelation are a special group of Jews that get miraculously saved during the tribulation.
Not only does theomatics prove that God's Word is perfect; but that in His greatness;
he has also mathematically tied together spiritual truths shedding more Light into our hearts and confirming things He has already shown those that hear His voice.

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee..

PEACE

Tomcat,

I hear you, my friend. And I have experienced rejection myself...

I thank you very much for sharing this about yourself and your struggle
seeking the truth...I have been given dreams...and God speaks to
me this way, confirming, refining, defining, reproofing...you know what
I mean...and sometimes people are not open to chunks of information
divinely delivered...after earnestly seeking in the Word, and in prayer.

I look forward to reading the information you offered and allowing
the Spirit to minister to me what I am able to digest...and, I know
this,

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you". Matt 5:11,12

Praying for wisdom and understanding,
Signet
