I'd like to know what books y'all like that helped you learn more. The Bible obviously biggrin.gif but what else? I've read of couple of prophecy books that were really good and now I'm reading "The Handbook for Spiritual Warfare" by Dr. Ed Murphy. I've read about 50 pages of it but it's pretty good so far. What other books do you guys suggest? Any authors you really like?

dth,
The best Tool for Bible Study that I've found is a Strong Concordance. If you do not have one you need to get one. You can even find it on the Internet. It is basically a dictionary for the Old Testament (In Hebrew) and New Testament (In Greek) I have found this is my best friend next to my Bible. You will be suprised at what some of the original meaning of words actually mean.

Val

Amen to that smile.gif. Strong's Concordance is an absolute must for serious study. I am absolutely amazed at how many contradictions in the bible can be so very easily resolved by reading the original language. So much has to do with irreconcilable differences between Engilsh and the biblical languages.

Thanks guys, I'll go to my little local bookstore and see if they have it.

I like anything that is written by any of the following: ( I read them more than once which is saying something!)

TD Jakes, Hal Lindsey, Josh McDowell, and Rod Parsley

I read them along with all the scriptures given throughout the texts. Great stuff gleaned!

There are others I have read too that have been a big help to me and my studies of the Bible. I'll try to pull the author's names together for you.

The Where to find it in the Bible A to Z Resouce Book is valuable too! I use it often!
