Thanks to all for the welcome. I will be posting soon and hope I can add encouragement and support to all believers who are trusting Jesus for eternal life. We are all at different levels of experience, and in some cases see things differently with regard to the interpretation of Bible prophecy. You will find my position to be open and objective about most subjects.

I am well aware of the various points of view of the prophetic Scriptures and will know where most posters are grounded. My approach is to offer what I currently think and understand after about 25 years of interest and study of the prophetic writings of the Bible prophets. My views will be posted with the intent to share information up to the point of argumentation. I will not move beyond that junction as I see very little value in trying to prove issues where disagreements arise.

I have no affiliation with any established dispositions, but have a fairly indepth knowledge of most, so I am basically an outsider when it comes to denominational ties, dogmas, and beliefs. I will continue on this path as I have found it to be the most effective for reaching and teaching others. The bottom line is relying upon the Lord's grace and trusting in His promise to save those who will believe in Him. Particular or specific views, including my own, in regard to Bible prophecy are not part of this equasion. Salvation does not depend upon the extent of one's level of knowledge in this area.

What I will not do is discredit the Lord and His Word by engaging in public dialogue or debate where the discussion leads to argumentation for the sake of the personal gain of winning, or whatever the motives might be. In this case you will find me unwilling to continue and I will make the point and move on.

We are living in a very unique time and I believe the Bible has much to offer for those who are seeking truth about life, human existance, and destiny. My position is to stay within the context of Scriptural precepts as I understand them and to limit speculation regarding current world conditions to that extent. Much harm has been done by the practice of over speculation on issues that a comprehensive overview of the Lord's Word simply does not support.

I will always indicate if my posting contains speculation to any degree and the reasons for doing so. I am very serious about sharing information to the extent that it will be beneficial to the believer and the unbeliever. Any other motives, objectives, and goals are off the board in my opinion. We are all personally accountable to the Lord for what we do and say, particularly in the view of others who are searching for truth.

Welcome Stephen! I am a "newbie" myself, and have yet to go a day without checking in, that's how much I love it here, and how amazing the people are. Truly gifts from G-d.

I could not agree more you more! I am certainly looking forward to you sharing with us. My passion and love for the Word of God runs very deep!

There is nothing greater than my walk with the Lord. Yet I will not let my veiws concerning prophecy divide. Now do not get me wrong I do have essentials of the faith that I will not falter on.

In regards to my study of prophecy I will share my views and be quite vocal. I also like to glean from what others have to share. God has made us so unique and with different personalities that it is interesting the way the Lord teaches us. Even though it is the Spirit who teaches us, we see things through different eyes.

Yet like you when confrontation arises I will bow out. I have come to realize like you it is not an essential part of salvation and therefore has its proper place. I am so excited you have joined. I am anxious to feed on your 25 years of knowledge.

The more I can learn the better. I want more from the scripture than just a Pashat or simple level. I will not be satisfied with the Remez or hint level and although sometimes the Drash can be challenging; the SOD or hidden level is where my heart is. I want to know the Deep things of the Lord. I want Him to whisper His secrets into the depths of my soul! May I ever be learning and seeking the things of the Father until the Day He calls me Home! I like Paul have made it my life's quest to Know Him and the Power of His Resurection!

Your Friend in Christ,
Val

Act 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. Act 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch: Act 6:6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid [their] hands on them. Act 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. Act 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Welcome. Be blessed, and watch for stones. 1dsz5f1.gif

Praise God!!!
Welcome Stephen
Stephen
I am a believer in Jesus Christ and the inspired Word of God, the Holy Bible, and do not vary from this position. I may have a different and sometimes non-traditional view of the prophetic Scriptures, but there is no salvation apart from that which is in Jesus Christ. It is also my opinion that the Bible is the only authority to be completely trusted and used for the correct understanding of the past, present, and future related to the material universe and human existence.

Much has been expressed verbally and written over the course of history and presented strictly from a human point of view. The prophetic Scriptures contained in the Bible are specifically unique and they reflect absolute truths from God's point of view. "No prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but from men moved by the Holy Spirit" [2 Peter 1:20-21]

The prophets' visions contain information that some would consider to be extremely negative content. Much of this has to do with the way in which God views world conditions that are unacceptable to Him. The world of humans, physical universe, and the earth are in a state of decadence which includes the fall of all human beings and one third of the angelic realm. God is very candid about these facts and warns us about the consequences. [Romans 1:18-28, 2:1-12] [Revelation 12:3-12]

Prophecy deals with these issues in very direct literal ways which can be shocking, disturbing, and critical to the unregenerate human who typically does not see things the way that God is looking at them. There are also extremely positive values contained within the writings of the prophets which tell of an abrupt reversal of these downward trends. This will lead to a fantastic future for all of those individuals who seek and find their way back to the right relationship with God. [Revelation 21:1-22]

In addition, there are significant truths revealed in Scripture which seem strange and different to us. They are well beyond our perceptibility and we must rely upon the Bible for explanations. Current world events seem to be focused on the Middle East or in many cases related to that part of the earth. This ancient land of Eden, post flood beginnings, and empires will attract human and satanic forces for a direct encounter with God. There is a time coming when all nations will be drawn into the vortex of unprecedented vexation and ultimate destruction at the hand of the Lord in the Middle East. [Zechariah 14:1-14]

National Israel exists as an independent political entity after an extended absence of almost 2,000 years from the Land of Israel. This is a definite indication that we may be very close to events described in Bible prophecy for the end of this present age. The nation has and is returning basically in unbelief, but a remnant will seek and find the truth during the hour of trial that is coming upon the whole world.

How close are we? No one really knows, and this is because God has not revealed the time for the beginning of the end. Many have tried to predict the start of these things by using a combination of Scripture and speculation. All have failed. We can only watch and wait while comparing observed events against the back drop of Scripture....not the other way around. Jesus said to be continuously watching and waiting, and ready....for it will be at a time that no one can predict. [Matthew 24:36]

There are signs and observable events which will take place at the time of the end that the student of Bible prophecy would be able to recognize, but only after the Day of The Lord begins. There are also stage setting events that can be observed like Israel's return to the Land of Israel. Those individuals who have a correct comprehensive understanding of the Bible will be in a position to make proper evaluations based upon solid truths. [Ezekiel 37,38,39]

The Bible is an intricate and complex set of materials which I believe can be comprehended and understood given proper motivation and a desire to seek the truth about human existence and each individual's journey through this life. The prophetical Scriptures contain unique symbolic visions that were conveyed to the prophets by God's Holy Spirit. These individuals lived and scripted their prophecies at different times, sometimes centuries apart, and in different places. Yet there are no contradictions present in the original manuscripts showing that all of the prophecies were authored by God and conveyed to the prophets through His Holy Spirit.

I have no bias regarding positions of others who may be affiliated with various Christian denominations or other religious groups......or any individual beliefs for that matter. There will be no objective to mislead, persuade, correct, evaluate, or criticize individuals who may have a different perspective than mine. I would point out that I do believe it is imperative for each individual to search for the true meaning of life and the need for personal salvation through a belief and trust in the only Son of God who is Jesus Christ. Knowledge of Bible prophecy and the pursuit of the same has virtually no value apart from this truth.

I am also of the opinion that Christians should not engage in endless arguments over the details of certain positions taken on the interpretation of the prophetic Scriptures. On the contrary, knowledge and information should be shared for the purpose of improving understanding and also encouraging one another to continue the search. Factions and disputes may be observed by those who will never find Jesus because of this type of behavior and the believer should always be sensitive to this possibility.

I think that any person, regardless of experience, knowledge, ability, or any other qualifying characteristics has the potential to develop a high level of practical understanding of the prophetic Scriptures. I will also personally assist anyone who needs additional information regarding the Christian faith and the Bible. I do not possess any extraordinary insight regarding the contents and meaning of Scripture, I have no formal theological training, and I am not affiliated with any particular religious institution. My limited knowledge is totally a product of an applied determination to know the meaning of life as it is conveyed by the Creator of all things, purposes, and plans which I believe can be found in the Holy Bible.

I also believe that God has purposely placed these truths in His Word for all humans to discover in one way or another. I do not understand every facet of the contents of God's Word and have had to adjust my position on various issues many times over the last 25 years of my journey. My objective is to share with those who have an interest, my experiences and understanding related to the visions of the Bible prophets. I believe that Bible prophecy, when presented properly, is a great faith builder, and can be a very effective witness to unbelievers.

Many doctrines and traditions have been developed by individuals and institutions since the days of the early Church. There are those that have added a great deal to the understanding of Bible prophecy. There are also those that contribute very little ..... and those that are misleading and may contain the ulterior motives of the presenters. I believe that a "Rock" solid interpretation can be built by adding precept upon precept, line upon line, and by relying upon the Lord's Holy Spirit for guidance.

It is a privilege for the opportunity to be a part of this post and I give a “big” thank you to all who have welcomed me. If I can ever be of assistance in your search for a comprehensive understanding of the prophetic Scriptures for the purpose of increasing your faith and witness I will do so.

I haven't checked in here in a few days, and I'm happy to see a new member--welcome, Stephen! You've picked a favorite topic of most of us, so I know you'll get some good discussion going! I hope you enjoy it here, and I hope you don't get discouraged or have to watch out for stones, or whatever it was Maz said--I had to chuckle at that, though! We do get a bit enthusiastic in our discussions, but hopefully everybody will be civil and keep their good manners! Anyway, I'm glad you joined us!

shy1,

Thanks for the welcome. I am aware of the "stones" and will respond with grace. The only Stone we should be looking for is the one that will some day fill the whole earth. The others have to be weighed and measured in the balance.
