The event that took place on the day of Pentecost was more than just a tongue and interpretation or a prophecy, the hearers did not need interpreters because what they heard they were able to understand in their own languages. It was more of a "miracle of languages."

C. Peter Wagner, in his book Spreading the Fire shares this account:

On a recent visit to England, for example, I learned of an incident where a monolingual British pastor was ministering to a multilingual Arab who happened to be serving as the principal translator in England for the OPEC oil cartel. The pastor sensed that God wanted him to pray about a certain physical ailment that the Muslim was suffering, and as he did so, he prayed some in tongues, as was his custom. The Arab was amazed, just as were the unbelievers on Pentecost. The pastor had first prayed in fluent Iranian, then later in fluent Ugaritic, an obsolete language! The meaning of the prayers in the two different languages was identical. In this case, the Arab acknowledged it as a miracle of God, was born again, and is now a strong witness among fellow Muslims.

The baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues was given for a reason. So that we would be endued with supernatural power to change the world we live in!

* We place ourselves on Your altar and say, "Have Your way"

* Greater clarity, greater accuracy in the realm of the Spirit

* Moving out of the government of law and moving into the government of love
* Making disciples of all nations
* We lift up the places that are calling
* The body of the Anointed One anointed
* Equipment for ways and purposes
* For those who won't move any other way
* Spirit of cooperation and collaboration
* A cry that comes forth
* Hunger for more of You
* A great discernment in the Body of Christ
* This is the way to go
* Assignments are calling out
* We lift up a highway to our God
* Internal strength to obey
* Breaking out and breaking through!
* Waking up and discerning the time and hour!
* Supernatural angelic assistance
* National security measures
* Satellites, they will be used by the Spirit of God
* There will not be used for the enemy's purposes!
* We sanctify satellites today!
* Spirit of prayer in the Body
* Prayers being answered!
* A great call to prayer
* There shall be shocking evidence coming forth in these last days
* Assistance of and by the Spirit of the living God
* All together now, walking together
* There is a sound!
* Show! Show!
* Unusual
* Mandates
* Reaching unto more and more
* Oh the revealing of it!
* And the pendulum goes over
* It's a showing; monumental happening
* Nations unsealed
* No, we're not listening to you
* It's the right time and season
* Inroad into that area!
* The spiritual molecules
* It's at the door
* Higher and higher, come up
* We lift up the deeds
* The degrees, progressive levels
* Deeds, works of power
* Level upon level, line upon line, degree upon degree
* Mastery
* Divine culminations
* Draw us up Father
* A great assembly, a great rising up before the throne of God
* Displaying, manifesting, demonstrating the plans and purposes and glory of God
* ascension, higher
* Cooperation
* Right into the moment--right now, right here
* Absolutely we speak to you!
* Men will know
* Contending, yes we press on!
* You separate, you cooperate
* Entering, opening up now
* More and more and more
* It shall come! It shall display!
* From coast to coast, it shall display
* Aid and assistance Lord
* Equipment
* Strength to Your Body, Your ministers
* It's a crucial thing, it's essential
* Full display
* Like a flower opening up in power
* A bridge crossed over
* Prepare, make ready all the places
* Get ready, get ready
* Everybody taking their post
* Leaders are strong
* All of the house of God
* Made strong
* To apprehend their prayers
* We pray for preparation now
* Up to the tip of the spear
* All the elements, all the details, all that's necessary
* It's like the prayers are the tip of the spear piercing through the enemy's way
* Making a way for those lines to break through
