I dreamed a prophetic dream 11/05/04.
I dreamed a man gave special care to a two-headed bald eagle and raised it from the time it was hatched. It had been rejected, and thrown out the nest by its mother. At first, the two head each had a very different point of view and it seemed they would never get along, but eventually, each learned to work together to benefit the body, though the body was not as robust as it could be, it grew to be quite a healthy eagle. The man and I stood in a field of mowed green grass. The sun was shining; the sky was blue and not a cloud in sight. My father sat in a lounge chair nearby. The man released the eagle into the wild. The eagle wanted to be independent, and had faith it could successfully defend itself with its beaks and talons. I thought it was odd that an eagle’s beak and talons would be used in self defense when those things are meant for catching prey. Releasing the eagle made GOD very angry. I saw a terrible swirling mass of black clouds on the horizon, so black there was no reflection of light at all coming from the clouds. I felt God’s presence in the midst of the darkness, and knew He would not let me be consumed by it for the wrath of GOD was only for the sinners. I ran and screamed at the unbelievers who were lounging around on the grass having picnics and warned them that the tornado was about to bear down on us! They denied it even existed! The darkness swirled around me and I saw my father, the eagle, all the people disappear suddenly into the darkness. I wanted to go into the darkness to save my father, but the man told me there’s nothing I can do and it’s time to run. We ran from the darkness and wherever we stood, the darkness would not come near us. The darkness consumed everything around us. Suddenly, the Darkness disappeared completely! The old world was destroyed and we were in a newly created world where there was only peace, rest, and beauty.
The next day I heard a story in the news about a two-headed dummy was found, one head resemble Bush, the other Kerry which was badly burned! The eagle is the United States of America. The two heads represent two conflicting views out of which the nation was founded, Federalist (later on Federalist became Republican), and Democratic. The degree of bitterness between the two view points were in embodied in Thomas Jefferson (democratic) and John Adams (federalist) and both men were influential in founding this country. In the early years, these two groups were bitterly divided but as time went by they eventually learned to work in such a way that the whole country benefited. The rejection of the baby eagle chick symbolizes that the United States was founded by people rejected by its mother land, England. Now the United States wants to be independent from God, and trusts that its strong military (the US is the only country I know of that only used its military for self defense, not conquest in it’s entire history) and this is symbolized by the beak and talons. The eagle being released into the wild symbolizes the United States being released from the caring protection of GOD. The Darkness is God’s coming wrath for the United States and unbelievers deny the very fact that His wrath is coming, even when its so obvious! Ultimately, those who do trust in GOD will be spared and inherit a new world.
This was followed by a dream about Paul. I saw Paul on board a ship sailing for Rome as a prisoner (see Acts chapter 27 in the Bible). At first the conditions were great, then suddenly, the ship was surrounded by darkness and a powerful storm was starting to rip the ship apart. Then I felt someone say, “Now this is what Paul felt” in a non verbal way, it was like a strong knowing that this is what I going to see next. Paul was alone floating in the sea, everyone else drowned, and here Paul would die slowly and alone. This is what Paul was felt like was going to happen. Then Paul had a vision, as he was floating in the water he saw another ship approaching out of the darkness. Wherever the ship was the water was calm. The ship was black, and its sails glowed red and it had small round openings all around through which red light glowed from within. The presence of God was on that ship, only it was a less powerful, it was one of His messengers on board, an angel. This was felt strongly, the angel was never seen. Paul realized with great joy that God determined everyone on board would be saved; only the ship would be lost for God was with him. The angel communicated to Paul in a completely non-verbal way exactly what Paul reported to the crew in the Bible. Now I had the impression that Paul wasn’t a man who would be receptive to visions because of his legalistic upbringing, but loud and clear these words were spoken to me “Paul had visions!” I thought if Paul had visions warning him and encouraging him, I too can be given such visions with specific information to guide me out of danger when the wrath comes, I felt assured I would get specific instructions from the Holy Spirit.
