I had two dreams last night, they were so short, it almost seems silly to post them, but in the end I decided to post them and let others decide if they have meaning or not.

I went to sleep and I had a dream that dogs were barking, the barking was so loud that I woke up. I got a drink of water and went back to bed and fell asleep for about another hour. I had a second dream of dogs barking that woke me up and the thought came to me, "wake up and pay attention, the dogs of war are barking".

I do not know if another war is coming, but there certainly is a lot of barking going on. If war does come, do not be afraid or panic, turn to God in prayer and asked for strength and guidance. When I was in the first Gulf War, we came under attack, I was so frightened that I was literally shaking. I prayed to God, "Please don't let me be so scared that I get myself killed". After that, I had perfect peace, I just focused on the job I had in front of me and let God worry about the rest and I made it through just fine.

## Hi Adonaicole, perhaps the barking of dogs is a prophetic warning to the Church concerning spiritual warfare against it or God's judgment upon it.

QUOTE

QUOTE

## Isaiah spoke in the old testament about prophets of God that refused to warn Israel of enemies plans to wage war against them and also of God's wrath and judgment agains them. He illustrated those prophets as dumb dogs that cannot bark.

Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

## We can understand from this that the barking of dogs is a metaphor for a prophetic warning.

## From this scripture we can also derive how the barking of dogs speak of a prophetic ministry that is alert, watchful and faithful in warning the Church. These may in fact be characteristics of the prophetic ministry of the dreamer who is bringing the message of warning to the body of Christ.

QUOTE
I had two dreams last night

## It is significant that you recieved two dreams the same one after the other concerning this prophetic warning to the Church because that means that God will surely cause it to happen.

Ge 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

You titled these dreams "Wake Up!" of which I can't agree more. It is time to listen and take heed of the warning cries of the watchmen (the barking of the dogs).

Hi Traveller62_au,

I agree with your interpretation 100%. God is definitely providing us with warnings. There is unquestionably spiritual warfare going on right now as well as physical warfare.

"Cry havoc! and let slip the dogs of war!' Shakespeare wrote that. The Romans used mastiffs with spiked metal collars armed them with buckets of hot tar in war to attack the enemy. These dogs were also used by Romans to kill tigers for entertainment during the 'spectacles' in the arena. The dogs of war could literally be the people just looking for any excuse to start a war. I've read and watched in the news as news came out that the Bush adminstration acutally came up with ideas to provoke a war with Saddam.

no insignificant dream, for a war does come ph34r.gif

That statement by Shakespeare was about Julius Caesar's revenge. It was his cry. Cry "Havock!" and let slip the dogs of war...

Adonaicole, this is how God speaks to me sometimes...A short dream or vision and then a word .....

Then the verse in Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

God lately has shown me something about time. By that l mean past, present and future all operating at the same time from God's perspective since he is outside of time. If you start think about the elect from this stand point and pray...God will show you something.

It's given me more of an urgency then ever to speak to the lost...

Don, this gave me goosebumps! And Traveller... wow on the interpretation. This is very prophetic!!!

Rose.... yeah- Traveller is good isn't he. I love his controbution to the body of Christ! We love you Traveller.

Not planning on this, but just at this very moment got a song....

The Dogs Of War
Pink Floyd
(Momentary Lapse Of Reason)

Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle
For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
The dogs of war don't negotiate
The dogs of war won't capitulate,
They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live
You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know they've been there before
Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world

This morning at 3:27 am I was awoken to two darks fiercely barking at one another. The episode was very brief.

Confirmation.

Thank you for the confirmation. I agree with miki, interesting spelling error. There are definitely dark forces at work these days but I also see the forces of light at work and in the end, they will prevail.

"In this world, ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

I understand the barking dogs....one day I will tell the dream that reoccured through my entire youth...but why the "wake up" part? Is it a command to do something or to see something? I only ask because God used to say that alot to me.

I do not feel asleep. I do not feel that there is something to know or do that is left unknown or undone....

what is "wake up"?

Go and tell....or be alert?

leia
Adonaicole
To me it meant, "be on the alert", "pay attention".

Please tell us about your dream, I'm curious.

Your brother in Christ,

Don

Don,

It frightened me every other night from as young as I can remember dreaming. Broken only by another reoccurring dream that was more terrifying.

Perhaps tomorrow.
