I thought an open topic to discuss the codes might be beneficial .....
.."To be burdened down is my destiny! He became exhausted, as well as the trees used for the great festival. Alas, O' impoverished one!"
Christmas of course is the height of paganism really . When you scrape the snow off .
The irony that we celebrate trees , which are really tthe instrument of Christ's torture and death , doesn't seem lost here . Also , is something imminent over Xmas ?
We burden the tree with baubles , which I believe in origin is a custom to do with dead bodies , almost a 'hanging' celebration !!

WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU SAYING?
THAT CHRISTMAS IS ANTI-CHRISTIAN?
ARE YOU GOING TO START SAYING THAT THE EASTER BUNNY IS SYMBOLIC OF MURDER IN SOME WAY?

The first thing l thought about when l read it, was all the trees that were flattened after the blast from Mt. St. Helens. For miles and miles around the blast zone the trees were flattened. You can search the images on line.
As far as Santa, trees and the Easter bunny goes. Well, God tolerates a lot from us. But it's time to wake up and "smell the deception." God looks on the heart. He knows about ignorance and deception.
Do l think we should boycot trees and the bunny? No...But l think we should look at the way WE celebrate these seasons

Right on Miki. Millions of people in this country celebrate "Christmas." The way they do it is by putting up a tree, hanging decorations on it, hanging lights outside their house, and giving presents. The reason they do it is because thats what we do in America. As Christians, we don't have to have a tree, or put up lights, or give presents, but instead know the true reason for Chritmas. If you watch TV when they show Christmas movies or shows they say that Christmas is a time of giving and that we should give because it's the right thing to do. We know different. Christmas is not a time of giving. All the time is a time of giving. And we should give because Jesus gave.
I only became a Christian a year ago. Last Christmas I was very unhappy because I finally realized how people celebrated Christmas. I didn't want to put up the tree. I didn't decorate the house. I was not in the "Christmas spirit." This year I debated whether or not I wanted to do any of that stuff again. After some thought and prayer I realized that I can do those things to have a Christ-centered Christmas. You can decorate your house to proclaim the real reason for Christmas. After all it's not how we celebrate Christmas or Easter or anything else, but WHY we celebrate at all. If Jesus hadn't died in our place, there would be no reason to celebrate ever.

Hi,
Anybody out there? Mt St Helen is really showing us something...a horn
of 300 feet and growing at 4-5 feet a day! The deception is really big...
and we need to see what this "horn" has to say....
