Full Version: It Seems That Lately....

It seems that lately my life has picked up a very fast paced schedule.

One thing that I can tell you is that I am taking a couple of bible doctrine classes this semester and my life has definately changed.
I am not being affected financially or with personal issues. It's more like my free time has been cut short. I do contract work outside my 9 to 5 and that was picked up tremendously.
I am extremely busy now that the other night i only got 3 hours of sleep.
I talked to a friend of mine that teaches doctrine classes I am taking and he said that perhaps my loyalty is being tested.
Luckily I still manage to go to my theology classes but the other days of the week seem too short.
Imma hang in there.

C-los, I pray you get the sleep you need. Yes, I can understand the loyalty thing. The Lord wants to get all of us to the point where we understand that it's all about JESUS and our free time will come to nothing and mean nothing unless it's about doing something for Him. You are on the right track, I'll be praying for you!

Hey c-los just remember that the Lord does not give us more than we can handle. We often times put to much of a load on ourselves though.
I will be praying for you............

It sounds like what He does to me at intervals, I I used to feel "tested" too. Found that I was looking at the glass half empty.

Rember the above quote as you go through your day....what are you doing NOW? OK, so NOW what are you doing?

Usually, when I start taking off down a road (your studies), He thinks to Himself (my interpretation) "About time! Now, if I can just keep her going in that direction there is *this* work that she will be qualified to do and that will be SOOOOOO helpful!"

Problem is, you only have so much time in a day and it is normally filled with "fluff". Do your hair (why? Just put it up and get to work!), Make suer the dishes are done (why? They will be there later and do you really need every dish washed all the time?)....

learn to group. I AM THE UTIMATE GROUPY!!!!!! The "pile" system most males call it I find. Then do piles at a time and don't start a pile until it looks like it needs it.

Second, put things where you will want to carry them from place to place. That book is going there later and it is that direction so put it there and I will take it on the way when I go..... learn to carry things from place to place to "set up" for the next thing you are going to do rather than have everything in it's "place". Places for stuff will start making more sense.

Third, NEVER PASS A BRICK PILE EMPTY HANDED! That is brick mason talk (of which my father is). If you are walking in THAT direction for something else and your hands can carry something there for later....do it.

Finally, just get rid of stuff. That is the most important thing of all. Just get rid of stuff.

All of this frees up your time. I don't think He is testing, He is simply telling you that what is given to you is not more than you can handle but you are muddying up the works with stuff you don't need. At least that is it with me.

I get organized and get rid of stuff and the freedom is WONDERFUL. The less physical stuff, the more spiritual stuff. Seems to go hand in hand....

I am SOOOOOOO excieted for you!!!!! He has a new job for you!!!!!!
