I want to ask prayer for my daughter, son-in-law and their baby-to-be. She is 4 months pregnant right now and they just received news today that their baby is at risk of having Trisomy 18.
Trisomy 18 is a relatively common syndrome affecting approximately 1 out of 3,000 live births, and affecting girls more than three times as often as boys. It is caused by the presence of an extra number 18 chromosome, which leads to multiple abnormalities. Many of these abnormalities make it hard for infants to live longer than a few months. They are arranging for an amniocentesis to be done so that they may know for sure. If the amnio test is positive she will carry the baby ( a boy) to term and then as it is at this moment the little ones life will be in GODS hands. My heart is crying with a mothers pain for my children having to face this struggle. The past 4 months have been a difficult time for my our family. My husband went home to be with the Lord in August at the age of 50 and we have had 2 deaths from cancer, 1 suicide, 2 more diagnosed with cancer both under 25 yrs. and 1 with cancer that may not make it another month and 1 waiting to find out results of whether cancer has come back. All of this since August 2005. I do not know the reason for all of this heartache but I do know that my Lord is in control and HE love us. We must come against this spirit of sickness. Why it is troubling this family ....I do not know. Please i ask my dear brothers and sisters here to pray for this little one. If the Lord means for this little one to be with him then we will accept that but i want to ask the Lord for a completely normal and healthy test result and for strength for my daughter and son-in-law and also for my other children who are holding onto their faith. i humbly and sincerely thank any and all who can pray for us...and i make this request in Jesus name....

My daughter went for her check-up today and they were told the final results on the amnio test. They checked everything that can be checked with an amnio test and PRAISE THE LORD!!! The baby is just fine! Oh isn't our LORD so good.
