Gog/Magog (Russia/Iran Alliance)

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. (Matthew 24:7)

The President of Iran has said Israel should be wiped off the map. Iran is actively enriching uranium and developing nuclear weapons with help of their ally, Russia, who has invested rubles, scientists, and materials to help Iran in their nuclear endeavors.

The goal of the Muslim/Islamic 'Religion of Peace' is to annihilate all Jews and Christians. A Koran prophecy foretells of a coming Imam Mahdi at the end of the world in the year following two eclipses that occur during the month long Ramadan, which began on October 3, 2005. The Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanna also began at dusk that day.

A solar eclipse covered the entire Revived Roman Empire, including the entire Middle East and North African Islamic nations on that day. When Jesus came, God sent a star of light to shine over the place of His birth. Now an eclipse cast its shadow on the world. Two weeks later, on October 17, a partial lunar eclipse occurred over the same region.

Iranian president Ahmadinejad is a firm believer in this prophecy. He has taken it upon himself to prepare the way for this Imam as his nation completes their development of nuclear weapons. Ahmadinejad has made his position on Israel clear. It should be wiped off the map. He is making obvious preparation to do this himself. Iran has been developing nuclear power, and claims they will have nuclear capability by March.
Israel cannot allow Iran to complete nuclear capabilities. Israel attacked Iraq when Saddam was preparing nuclear materials, and would likely do the same to Iran, but Russia (Gog) is Iran's ally deeply involved in the nuclear project. So an attack by Israel on Iran will hook Russia also. (Ezekiel 38:4)

Russia and Iran are allies. Iran is Persia, which is ancient Magog. Russia is Gog. Iran's nuclear program is worth billions of Russian rubles. Iran's nuclear facilities are full of Russian technicians, scientists, advisors, security and military personnel. An Israeli strike would kill many Russians.

If Israel attacks, Iran with Russia would retaliate. This is likely to be the Gog/Magog invasion of Ezekiel 38 when the Lord will destroy their armies with fire and brimstone. (Aerial attack? Meteor shower?) Israel will take seven years to clean up the mess.

Israel was preparing to go to war with Iran before PM Sharon had a stroke. His replacement, Olmert is temporary, but a liberal whose history has been appeasement. Meanwhile, Iran will have nukes by March, before Israel can elect a new PM. And the 'Quartet' has done nothing yet other than verbal objections.

It sounds like what Ezekiel 38:13 says; “Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”

Ezekiel 38-39 says an army on horseback from land north of Israel (Moscow) will be drawn down (hooks in jaw 38:4). Magog (Iran) will burn (39:6).

Iran and Syria are also allies. Damascus is Syria's capital, and the only city that has survived continually for the past 5000 years without interruption. (see Gen. 14:15)

However, fulfillment of the following prophecies appear to be likely in the immediate future.

Isaiah 17:1 says, “Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.”

Zechariah 11:1 says, “Open your doors, O Lebanon, so that fire may devour your cedars!”

There are strong indications, including videos and testimony, that Iraq's WMDs were trucked and flown into Syria as US troops approached Baghdad invading Iraq in 2003. The Bekaa Valley in Lebanon has been a main storage area for missiles and large weapons.

The UN's investigation of the assassination last year of the former Lebanese Prime Minister shows involvement of top Syrian political leaders. Hostilities between Syria and Lebanon over this, and evidence that Syria's capital of Damascus has been a main channel for terrorist traffic are indications that Isaiah and Zechariah's prophecies may soon be fulfilled.

It all adds up to the picture painted for us in Scripture.

The Gog Magog war does not happen until the end of the 1000 year reagin of the Messiah Jesus. Read The Book of Revelation chapter 20. It is clearly laid out in sequence. I know most people believe that the Ezekiel 38 war is pre Second Coming but that does not make that interpretation correct.

I find it interesting that at the end of 1000 years of peace, there can be nations who are armed for war with Christ seated on the throne in Jerusalem.

But it will be the will of God to allow them to come against Jerusalem. It's not a failing in Gods power that gives satan access to those nations, for God will release satan from the bottomless pit.

God allows satan to work his deception today. But he only succeeds in drawing away those who have no love for the truth. satan is like a rebellious men attractant, drawing away the proud into destruction.

Ah, that's easy to understand when you see the 1000 years is already at it's end and satan has been loosed, for a thousand years to man is but a day to the Lord.

I humbly submit to the Lord that only Christ by the Holy Spirit reveals the mysteries of such matters so I cannot say but only believe this happened somewhere during the 1960's

So in brief, you have in order of the events:
- the sixth vial poured that the unclean spirits gather the armies for war (ongoing)
- the loose of satan from 1000 years imprisonment (already happened),
- the seventh vial poured (already happened, and the effects ongoing i.e. globalization, eventual collapse of the world economy),
- the fall of mysterious babylon (will happen)
- War by the beast and false prophet (will happen)
- War with all nations deceived by satan (will happen)
- Judgement Day (a lot closer than most think).

The tribulation? most of it already happened with the slaughter of saints and prophets throughout the centuries (blaming the Christians in Rome by Nero, fall of Jerusalem 70 AD, the crusades, the Inquisition, etc...)

The rapture? Well when it happens it happens nearly at the very end, where redemption and death happens simultaneously like the way it did in Exodus 12:21-23.

I was always stricken by the finality of things when once the devil is cast into the lake of fire, and judgment immediately happens. No pause, no moment to take a breath, as if mankind gets whacked is a single day and the Earth is undone. The end.

Gee HB, I thought Israel was saved at the beginning of the 40 years...they just didin't have faith, and grumbled...and so they wandered for 40 years....I hope the rapture is not held up until the end, but GOD'S Plan come to pass in HIS time.....but even at the end of the 40 years, their clothes were still like new, even their shoes! Praise GOD.

Haile Selassie IRasta, or the Rastafari movement, is a religious movement that accepts Haile Selassie I, the former emperor of Ethiopia, as King of Kings, Lord of Lords and the Lion of Judah as Jah (the Rastafari name for God, from a shortened form of Jehovah found in Psalms 68:4 in the King James Version of the Bible), and part of the Holy Trinity. The name Rastafari comes from Ras Täfäri, the pre-coronation name of Haile Selassie I. The movement emerged in Jamaica among working-class and peasant black people in the early 1930s, arising from an interpretation of Biblical prophecy, black social and political aspirations, and the teachings of their prophet, Jamaican black publicist and organiser Marcus Garvey, whose political and cultural vision helped inspire a new world view. The movement is sometimes called "Rastafarianism"; however, this is considered improper and offensive by Rastas.

The Rastafari movement has spread throughout much of the world, largely through immigration and interest generated by Nyahbinghi and reggae music—most notably, that of Bob Marley, who was baptised Berhane Selassie (Light of the Trinity) by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church before his death, a step also taken later by his widow Rita. By 2000, there were more than one million Rastafari worldwide. About five to ten percent of Jamaicans identify themselves as Rastafari. Most Rastafarians are vegetarian or only eat limited types of meat.
