We Work With Three Categories of Information
Pay By Touch collects and uses three categories of information to safely and securely deliver our services to you:

Account and Identity information, which includes your name, address, email address, government-issued photo ID, account information for the payment cards and checking accounts you enroll, and loyalty account information. In addition, social security number is obtained for US Check Cashing Customers as part of identity verification and to comply with check cashing regulations.

Biometric information, i.e., the finger scan that you provide us during the voluntary enrollment process, which assures us that
'you are you'. You can enroll your biometric information at a participating retailer.

Transaction information that is routinely generated whenever you use the Pay By Touch services. This information helps route your transaction to the right places, the right way, from the right accounts, at the right times, and to establish a transaction history, in order to securely complete a transaction.

Uses of the Information You Provide Us To privately and securely store your account and identity information and to maintain its accuracy.

To verify your identity, process your transaction, cash your check, or award your loyalty points.

To verify your date of birth if you are buying an age-restricted product

To protect you by helping to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your personal or financial information, or from attempting to defraud a retailer or the Pay By Touch services.

To improve and develop our products and services. Every service we offer is continually evaluated to make sure we are providing the high quality our customers want and prefer to use. To achieve this, we review collective information about user activity and history and analyze it in the aggregate without identifying you or your personal transaction history. You are anonymous when we analyze or report collective trends in behavior.

To contact you with updates from Pay By Touch including new store locations in your area and special offers from Pay By Touch. The updates are sent to members, unless they opt-out.

Choice/Opt-out
At enrollment, members may opt out from receiving marketing communication, when we ask for this information. For example, if you sign up for Pay By Touch wallet, but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference during our sign up process.

After enrollment, you may opt out from receiving marketing communication by contacting the company or emailing us at customerservice@paybytouch.com.

Pay By Touch reserves the right to contact all members for purposes of ensuring the security of their account.

Security of Your Information
Pay By Touch understands the importance of protecting the information that you have entrusted to us. To protect your information, we employ industry leading information security standards and safeguards, physical controls, and security procedures. We enforce strict security policies to ensure that only properly authenticated and authorized individuals have access to your data and this type of access is limited to that which is required.

Account and Identity Information
To use the Pay By Touch services, you must first complete the voluntary enrollment process by placing your finger on the reader and adding whichever credit card, debit card and checking accounts you wish to enroll as payment vehicles in the Pay By Touch service. Your government-issued photo ID verifies your identity and confirms that the payment vehicles you are enrolling are yours, assists retailers in assessing whether you may purchase age restricted products, and enables Express Checking.

Additional information is obtained for Check Cashing Customers as part of identity verification and to comply with check cashing regulations.

Pay By Touch will not rent, sell, lend or license your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We may share information with third parties to prevent fraud, collect bad checks and facilitate the services provided on your behalf by Pay By Touch.

Enrollment of Loyalty, Membership, or Rewards account information
You also may choose to enroll membership, frequent shopper, reward or other loyalty accounts in your Pay By Touch wallet. These relationships are separate from your relationship with Pay By Touch.

Account activity in these types of loyalty programs is subject to the terms and conditions you agreed to when you enrolled in each loyalty program. You are responsible for understanding each merchant's policy regarding its information-gathering and sharing of information. Pay By Touch will provide Loyalty, Membership or Rewards account information only to the individual retailer or organization that is the creator of the program, as part of normal program administration.

Transaction Information
As with other payment services, Pay By Touch has information on how you use the Pay By Touch services. Just as when you use a plastic payment card or a paper check, Pay By Touch has information on when your Pay By Touch member account was accessed, the payment amounts you authorize via the Pay By Touch service, the parties who are part of your authorized transactions, and the retail location of the transaction. Pay By Touch does not have access to the inventory of actual goods that you purchased using Pay By Touch services. This type of information is standard in the electronic payment industry and necessary for payment authentication. Your transaction information will not be revealed to any third party for advertising purposes, nor will it be shared with a retailer, except in the case where it is needed to validate a transaction, combat fraud or collect bad transactions. Pay By Touch or its agents may analyze this transaction data to enhance the service and to protect our customers.

Biometric Information
As part of your voluntary enrollment in the Pay By Touch service, you will be asked to provide a record of a biometric, or a unique physical characteristic. The biometric that the Pay By Touch service uses is a finger scan. This finger scan is not a fingerprint, but a set of data points unique to you, that are encrypted and stored and cannot be reverse-engineered into a fingerprint.

Your biometric information will not be shared with third party service providers, external organizations, Pay By Touch subsidiaries or government agencies except as provided in this Privacy Statement, the Terms and Conditions of enrollment in the Pay By Touch service, or as required by law.

Any biometric information is voluntarily given by you in order to use the Pay By Touch service. Pay By Touch never gathers biometric information without your voluntary and affirmative consent.

In some cases Pay By Touch may provide algorithm or sensor vendor partners who have entered into confidentiality agreements with Pay By Touch with anonymous biometric scans. These companies use the anonymous test scans only to develop, test, modify and improve the performance of their hardware and software products related to the Pay By Touch services. These test scans are not linked to any personally-identifiable identity or account information.

Customer Service
We make access to privacy-sensitive information subject to rigorous procedural and technological controls, consistent with legal requirements and the demands of customer service. Our authenticated staff or delegated customer service representatives may have access to some information in order to respond to questions from our customers. We limit that access to the minimum information they require to be able to provide prompt, high quality service.

Fraud Protection
Pay By Touch reserves the right to use biometrics, transaction data and enrollment information to protect Pay By Touch service users from fraud. Pay By Touch may elect at its sole discretion to actively pursue and prosecute those who attempt to defraud the Pay By Touch system, its users, its merchant and financial services partners or other third parties associated with Pay By Touch.

Pay By Touch reserves the right to deny and/or withdraw use of the Pay By Touch services and/or system to any person for any reason consistent with law.

How Do I Access My Personal Information
You can log into “My Wallet” any time to manage your profile and payment options in your Pay By Touch wallet. Log Files
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files for purposes of fraud detection. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We may use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movements around the site and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We may link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information for security purposes.

Yeah, I know! Aren't they being so considerate though? They're so concerned with our security! I'm glad they'll be sure that I am I! blink.gif
