It’s kinda funny that you bring that up because we had been talking about that a few weeks ago… It was said that as long as the people are pure in heart and aren’t ashamed of their bodies that it really wouldn’t matter.

I don’t agree… The way I see it, if God wanted us to walk around naked He would not provide us with robes in the coming age. We should hope to live holy lives – not parading our nudity like the unbelieving, faithless cowards of this age.

The people of this world have no shame because they simply have no consciences.

Praise God – He is Holy!

Is that figurative or literal robes?

What about tribes in south american amazon, africa, etc? So after we convert them should we tell them to put some clothes on? Does a national geographic bother you?

In Scripture, being naked is a form of judgement.

I ask you to consider this Scripture: 2 Cor. 5:1-3
QUOTE
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For indeed in this {house} we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, 3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked.

This refers to the body in which we live being torn down, i.e. dying. But even while we live we groan for the righteousness, our robes, in heaven so we will not be found naked, i.e. judged and not worthy to enter heaven!
Nakedness is never seen as good! There are a multitude of Scripture that will support this! biggrin.gif

I'd say if you want to be nude in the comfort of your own home, fine. But I wouldn't want to take the chance and be a stumbling block to another Christian by going to a nudist resort or a beach. Just like I won't buy wine to cook with because you never know who is looking. It isn't worth the headaches.

now Jack....

What happened when Adam and Eve ate the fruit? In heaven, do you think it will matter if we are clothed or not? Will there be shame in heaven?

QUOTE
I don't think this has anything to do with South American or Africa - I think it has to do with the pleasures of the flesh.

It has everything to do with it... Do you think these tribes in Africa/South America really care if everyone is nude or mostly nude (the essentials are showing).. In their culture, its no big deal... Ever been to the jungles of South America? They get pretty hot and humid, I only wished I could have stripped down...

QUOTE
Would you not be ashamed to have to walk down the street in full nudity? I know I would and I don’t need the scriptures to show me that it’s wrong. Common sense would dictate that.

Sure I would...but suprisingly it would be because I would be ashamed of showing off my love handles and my T-rex thighs...its this culture... I'm sure you could probably sling out some scripture about causing others to stumble... which is fine and applicable...

So Jack I close with a question....
Do you find a difference in nudity in terms of what's shown in National Geographic and what's shown in a Playboy?
ChildofGod
If we are Blood bought born again Christians, doesn't that put us into the position Adam and Eve was in before they sinned? If so, it would follow that.... rolleyes.gif

JUST TEASING!!!! Please don't flame me! biggrin.gif
