Full Version: Please Pray For My Husband
Please pray for my husband, Walter. This past Sunday night, he had sharp pains just above his navel. On Tuesday he went to the Dr. The Dr. sent him to have a cat scan of his appendix. In the scan they found he had Gall stones and spots on his lower lung lobes. But his appendix looked healthy. The Dr. says a virus or bacteria attaches itself to the appendix and it causes appendisitus attacks and often they come back and get worse. If they remove the appendix, all the pain goes away.....blood cultures proved the infection is there. He has been off work all week long! Today, he went to have another cat scan of his whole lungs. After talking with the Dr. today, they are planning on emergency surgery. If the appendix is not ruptured, they will probably pull both appendix and Gall bladder, sometime tommorrow or this weekend. I ask you to pray for the surgeons and for my husband, and for me. I have to take care of him afterwards, up to 3 weeks off work!.....He is a young Christian. So pray that God will strengthen him in reading his Bible too. There is a lot going on here and we could sure use the uplift in prayers. Finances are going to be stretched as he is our soul breadwinner. I have not been able to work for about 1 1/2 years do to a back injury. I can't lift over 5 ponds with my right arm, and I am righ handed.

Tigger...I will continue to pray for your husband, the surgery, and for you! I have been praying for him since you asked me to a few days ago. Please keep us informed as much as you can...wish I was there to help you out.

Thank you everyone! The prayers must be working....so far no need for the surgery! We should have some more test results on Monday. Please, keep uplifting us in your prayers! I know he will have to have surgery for the gallstones, soon....I am hoping not his appendix too. But whatever happens, God has it under control.

Father, I lift up our precious tiger and walter. I ask that you cause the surgery to go very smoothly, with no complications and give him a fast healing. I ask also that you make his lungs whole, and heal tiger of her back ailment too. Lord, enable tiger to help her husband recover, and guard their finances, providing as you do. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
Well surgery for the gall bladder is scheduled for 8 am tommorrow (Valentine's Day) morning. Walter will be off work for about 2 weeks and not lift anything for about 3 weeks. The surgeon decided not to take his appendix at this point. So, please keep us lifted up in your prayers....and I thank you ahead of time for being there for us! and I do too!

The surgery went off without a hitch! PRAISE GOD, and he is home recouping tonight! Please keep us in your prayers, as he mends...and ask GOD to gaurd our finances, until his checks come in from the supplemental insurance and his vacation pay. He will be off work for about 10 days to 3 weeks! The hounds are already barking at me...I hadn't been in the house but a few minutes and someone called wanting payment. So I ask you to please pray for us. We live week to week, and a missed paycheck is showing! But I know that GOD supplies all our needs according to HIS riches in glory! AMEN.
I feel so blessed! I can hardly contain it! You guys are the best medicine for me right now! And I thank GOD for bringing me to this forum! My husband thanks you all for praying for him too! And the Doctor said they didn't have to take his appendix too! What a blessing from GOD! (I just had to share that!)

Thank you again, and I'll let you in on a little irony, Walter got the antibiotics, I got a head cold while at the hospital! But I am making it ok.....took some claritan, and I just want to crawl in the bed! But I can't til he goes to bed tonight!
He's hurting, poor thing....says he feels like he's been stabbed! I told him he was! He had laproscopic surgery, but they put 5 holes in him to do it! We just got to laugh about the whole thing and get on with life! His pain just moved over a few inches. He can't wait for this to be all over with and a distant memory! I hope the pain med's hold out until ALL the pain is gone! AMEN! And I thank God, we had a very skillful surgeon. I knew his father too! His father delivered my oldest daughter! Imagine, and he's a Christian too! GOD is so good to us!
Once I knew (the Dr) who he was, and I already knew about his dear (the Dr's Dad)ole daddy, and I knew he was a Christian, well, God was in control! Can't beat that!

Remember with pain medication to take some stool softners......don't want to get bound up......I had my glallbladder taken out too.....have a huge scare there too! When I use to wear a two piece bathing suit people asked me about my scar I use to tell people I was in a knife fight....

Just a tip......I've had several operations....and nothing worse to be bound up too!!!! It's the straining part that kills ya...
Keeping you in my prayers and your hubby. Men have a harder time with pain than women....we women were built for it....having babies. Tell him when you have a baby its like grabbing hold of your up lip pinching it realy hard....then pull you lip up over your head...that's what its like!

Just wanted to give an update!
Well we've been through two long days and nights of my husband in pain, and last night we were at the emergency room, and this morning at the Surgeon's office, and I can truly say the worst is behind us now. Walter had 22 staples and 14 were removed this morning. They did a 3rd catscan last night, to try to figure out why the pain was so severe....tenderness around the wound, was the end result, and some residual anesthesia. He is healing great! Praise GOD. We go back next week to remove the remaining 8 staples. Hopefully, he will listen to the Dr. and rest, so he can return to work soon. Right now he is resting!
Thank you everyone who has been praying for his recovery and for mine too. I have been battleing an old back injury for 2 years now. And I got sick at the hospital, when he had surgery....sinuses, so I thought. It had moved into my right lung, but I am better today, and have been able to attempt some much needed house cleaning! Praise the LORD, the cobwebs are gone!

So I am praising GOD for old friends and new friends, and all the friends GOD sends my way, AMEN. I am most thankful for the ONE, HE sent, 2000 years ago, and that is JESUS. Onetigerroo....I have really bad sinus too. Found some things that really help.
Got them from a doctor MD...it is alternative medicine.
Xlear.....a spray to use in your nose....help kill cold and flue viruses....check it out on the web. Xylitol is a sugar....made from plants and etc. You can also by this sugar....I use the sugar for my husband he has diabites and controls it by diet....this sugar break down in the stomach....there for it is great....you can make pies and cookies with it....I do all the time and no one knows!!! You can find it on the web.
Another thing you can do is use Eucalypus oil on a hanky....and pin it to yourself under your cloths.....that's if you can stand the smell.
This doctor talked about it....said his whole office building had the flu real bad...except for the women that did the cleaning ....they never got sick. So he asked their secret. One said, that her great grandfather was in the Spanish American War....and was wounded and taken to a hospital. Everyone was coming down with the Spanish Flu....and dying. This new doctor came...had everyone move people out the room and washed everything down...everything with soap and water and Eucalyptus oil......It stopped the Spanish flu in its tracks!!!! So the Grandfather had everyone use it when he came home from the war. So I tried it two years ago....I have not caught a cold or the flu...and having SLE Lupus....I normally catch everything!!!! But, not since I've been wearing the oil everytime I go out and around a lot of people....hospitals, shopping, school visits, and parties at companys. I did this for both me and my mother.....she had lung cancer....she did not catch a cold or flu either....and we always did. Just a tip that I thought I would share with you.

Onetigerroo....I have really bad sinus too. Found some things that really help.
Got them from a doctor MD...it is alternative medicine.
Xlear.....a spray to use in your nose....help kill cold and flue viruses....check it out on the web. Xylitol is a sugar....made from plants and etc. You can also by this sugar....I use the sugar for my husband he has diabites and controls it by diet....this sugar break down in the stomach....there for it is great....you can make pies and cookies with it....I do all the time and no one knows!!!
You can find it on the web. Another thing you can do is use Eucalypus oil on a hanky....and pin it to yourself under your cloths.....that's if you can stand the smell.
This doctor talked about it....said his whole office building had the flu real bad...except for the women that did the cleaning ....they never got sick. So he asked their secret. One said, that her great grandfather was in the Spanish American War....and was wounded and taken to a hospital. Everyone was coming down with the Spanish Flu....and dying. This new doctor came...had everyone move people out the room and washed everything down...everything with soap and water and Eucalyptus oil......It stopped the Spanish flu in its tracks!!!! So the Grandfather had everyone use it when he came home from the war. So I tried it two years ago....I have not caught a cold or the flu...and having SLE Lupus....I normally catch everything!!!! But, not since I've been wearing the oil everytime I go out and around a lot of people....hospitals, shopping, school visits, and parties at companys. I did this for both me and my mother.....she had lung cancer....she did not catch a cold or flu either....and we always did. Just a tip that I thought I would share with you.

Sorry for being late but count my prayers too. I know how surgery is, I've had a couple. Tell him to tak it easy. Of course I never listen to that advice but maybe he will. LOL

God'sLamb, thanks for the tips. I have used ecalyptus for years. Another germ killer is garlic. I use garlic in lots of dishes.

Walter gets to return to work a week come Monday! YEA! All the (22) staples are gone and he's got a clean bill of health to boot! AMEN. His boss can't wait for him to return to work. They actually missed him.
