Full Version: Is Faith Enough For Healing?
Christian-Forum.net > General discussion > What do you say?

I have touched on this subject with a few other members here and thought I would see what the rest of you had to say.

Do you believe that a Christian having faith for healing is enough? Or do you feel that medical attention is necessary? Who would you put your trust into...man or God?

Simply put, both. God first of course! Why would you not seek medical attention that is available to you? Unless the medical practice goes against God's Word for us? God is the ultimate healer, but He has also given us people trained in medicine to help us and to heal us, too. It is given to us by God for us to use to heal our bodies. We still do not have all the knowledge of healing, that is God's domain. This leads back to the story of the 10 leapers....Jesus healed them, yet they had to go to the Temple, and be proclaimed clean....10 healings of lepresy in one day....Jesus told the deciples that they too would preform all His miracles that they had witnessed and in greater numbers...

Someone posted this not ot long ago on this forum....I can't remember who, but here is the scripture.

Luke 17:12-14

17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

Jesus had 10 lepers go and be proclaimed clean in ONE DAY! Don't you know those Preists were mighty busy that day!

Hi LovingHim! Great idea for a post!

For me anyway, my faith's not up there with that little mustard seed yet, so I don't have any choice but to rely on man. I really don't think it has to stay that way though, only that it's that way now. I know this because man can't heal my wife. She has something that either faith heals or nothing heals. So she and I will have to catch-up in faith with the mustard seed or we're in trouble. We're one flesh my wife and I, so her illness is my illness. That's why she has this disease she has, so we will have no choice but to learn the faith of the mustard seed.

I think faith comes from understanding. My refridgerator taught me that!!

Ok, now's what's this crazy man saying you think!! wacko.gif

OK, how do you know the light goes off when you close the fridge door? Understanding. You look and see the switch, you press it and see the light going out, then you see that when the door closes it presses the switch. Will you ever be able to observe this with your own eyes? Nope. As soon as you open the door the light's back on again. It's the same as the noise a tree makes when it falls in the woods. You know it is so, but you will never be able to hear it with your own ears. That is faith. Faith comes from understanding.

That's my humble opinion anyway.

May God bless you on this precious day!
