We have all seen/ heard the various predictions/prophecies/prognostications about the coming days. Some have said that great calamity is coming to the United States and to the world. Others have said that this is the year of the Church, not a church building but the saints. (Since we are THE Church.)

I began to think about these statements and wondered: What if God is going to bring these calamities upon us to get us to the point where the early church was. The Bible says they sold all their possessions and goods and gave to anyone as he had need. (Acts 2:44-43) At the end of verse 47 in chapter 2 it says "and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Is the Lord going to allow these things to pass to get us to where we need to be and then the great revival will happen? Will we have to get rid of our possessions (by destruction) for us to see revival? I think once we see how trivial the "things" of this life are, we will see a mighty move of God's hand. (Don't get me wrong...I like my stuff as much as the next guy...and am as guilty as the next guy.)

What say you?

God bless you all.

I say you are very wise.
I have pondered this as well.
You just may have something there.
Well of course you do-you have the Love of the Lord.
This I can tell.

I think this stuff in the world can be a real hinderance in our walk.
I know I have too much stuff.
My friend got rid of almost everything.
She said she is ready to go with bible in hand.

Everytime I try and get rid of something, I think oh
but someone gave that to me. It is special. (okay I have bought enough myself too.) But not
as special as having Christ in my life.

What to do what to do. God may decide this one for me too.
Could be gone in an instant, but my faith is what will percivere.

Keep your eyes upon Jesus......things of this world will pass away.

I can't take my earthly possesions with me. I don't want to.

Jesus is preparing mansions! And all those that are saved by our words and actions about who Jesus really is, is going to put jewels in HIS Crown! The jewels are the ones that have excepted Jesus as their personal Savior. Some will give HIM a few Jewels, others many! This is the revival I am seeking the Many! What my Father has in heaven, sure puts this junk to shame! Thanks for the post! It opens ones eyes to what is important.

Today I have been pondering the "fleshly prophesies" and all the variants of expression which I realize often come from the heart of man. I kept coming to this verse.

1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

We need to be over here...

1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

At least we are not here...

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

It is dry and we could use the rain. There is the sound of an abundance of rain.

I watched the Benny Hinn video on here today, and wept.
