I want to ask prayer for my daughter, son-in-law and their baby-to-be. She is 4 months pregnant right now and they just received news today that their baby is at risk of having Trisomy 18.
Trisomy 18 is a relatively common syndrome affecting approximately 1 out of 3,000 live births, and affecting girls more than three times as often as boys. It is caused by the presence of an extra number 18 chromosome, which leads to multiple abnormalities. Many of these abnormalities make it hard for infants to live longer than a few months. They are arranging for an amniocentesis to be done so that they may know for sure. If the amnio test is positive she will carry the baby ( a boy) to term and then as it is at this moment the little ones life will be in GODS hands. My heart is crying with a mothers pain for my children having to face this struggle. The past 4 months have been a difficult time for my our family. My husband went home to be with the Lord in August at the age of 50 and we have had 2 deaths from cancer, 1 suicide, 2 more diagnosed with cancer both under 25 yrs. and 1 with cancer that may not make it another month and 1 waiting to find out results of whether cancer has come back. All of this since August 2005. I do not know the reason for all of this heartache but I do know that my Lord is in control and HE love us. We must come against this spirit of sickness. Stop the attacks of health and well being on the members who are suffering from cancer and even from the after affects of the one who commited suicide. Be with this young couple over the next few months, and give them a child that is healthy and happy. Jesus, I know you hear us when we pray, as I too had scares about my first grandchild. Lord, this time let the doctor's find no sign of this genetic flaw; in Trisonomy 18, in this unborn baby! Thankyou Pamela,Onetiggerroo,LovingHIM,kim48. Your prayers and words are very precious to me and i will hold on to them and onto the Word of GOD. This beautiful little boy belongs to the LORD and i am praying that HE will watch over him and surround him with HIS love and keep him strong and healthy in Jesus name. My daughter and her husband have been married for 9 years. He is a young doctor and they wanted to wait until he was pretty much settled into his routine as a doctor before having a little one. She is a school teacher and they were both so sad that my husband had been taken home to be with the Lord before they made him a grandpa. They are both so excited, overjoyed and filled with thanksgiving for their little blessing.
This precious little guy is loved so much already. I know that Gods love for this little one is so much more than we can ever offer but I pray that the Lord will keep him and his mommy healthy and strong. Thankyou so much for your prayers......

My daughter just called and said the preliminary results were back for the amnio test and it was negative for the Trisomy 18. Oh thankyou FATHER. She was so happy, crying and thanking the LORD!! The final results should be complete in a few days but they told her that the preliminary results are 99% accurate. Now she is going to the doctors on February 6th for her checkup and another ultrasound to see about a blip/shadow they saw on the baby's heart. Oh thankyou everyone for your prayers and please continue to hold her and the baby up in prayer.

My first baby was diagnosed as having down syndrome, I fretted and fretted and went to all sorts of doctors... most of whom told me I might want to think about the options (you know what they mean by that) I refused... I even refused the amniosynthesis at that time because I had a very high chance of losing the baby...
So- my dad, what a wonderful man.... told me pray... he told everyone to pray... he told strangers to pray - I had so many prayers... do you know I had the most beautiful, healthy baby 4 years ago and not a thing is wrong with him! I beleive he was down syndrome until he delivered... every ultrasound and blood test said so...
There is mighty power in the prayer!!!!! I am so happy for your family!!! Glory to God in the highest!!!

Hello dear brothers and sisters! I wanted to bump this request up as a testimony of GODS goodness and grace. I posted this prayer requested months ago when my daughter became pregnant with their first child and my first grandbaby. Today is her due date and she has made it through the past nine months and the baby is doing fine. We are hoping labor will begin soon so that we can welcome this new little blessing from GOD into the family. I will keep you all posted and want to praise GOD for HIS mercy and love. Thankyou all that prayed for her and this little one.
